They will institute requirements (via Cap-N-Trade) that will make it near impossible to sell your house and move. Then, after you don't pay your property taxes, they will take the property away. Finally, to add insult to injury, they will move to re-instate pauper laws and force you to work your land to justify your existence. This is pretty much how feudalism started in the 3rd & 4th centuries ... we are doomed.

I remember in the 1990's being deemed by New York to be "rich" somewhere around $30k ... I guess that a New Jersey millionaire will start somewhere around $50k.

Coming to a city near you. Tax 'em 'til they leave, then raise taxes on the ones who stay. My city had the balls to RAISE the value of my house this year. I'd be lucky as Hell to sell for 60% of my assessment.
Funny how even though we're shutting off every other street light to save money, cutting school programs, talking of laying off teachers, and not hiring police to fill vacancies, we can still afford to pave bike trails. My sanity is looking to follow that last bit of rational thought out that window.
