Now the Kashkari Puff Piece Makes Perfect Sense

And you called us cynical for calling the Washington Post piece a public relations plant.
In addition to hiring a top equity team, we have also recognized the need for an experienced person to work closely with PIMCO’s Executive Committee to lead our entry into this and other new businesses over time. Accordingly, Neel Kashkari is joining us on December 14 to lead new investment initiatives. Neel will be based in our Newport Beach office.

It is doing them in already MsCreant and my proof is the rising Gold price. The criminals are losing the gold war. Think about it - anybody who is long Gold has taken money DIRECTLY from the big banks short Gold and wounded them (yeah, they can create as much as they want out of thin air but then again it dilutes the value of their franchise as they print more of it so it's still a "loss" I guess plus you can buy more physical gold from that funny-munny it if you are levered). They have injured exactly those who need to be injured - our mortal enemies - the big banks. No poor and destitute people were harmed in your being long Gold - only the criminal banks.

This was a great post. WTF?
Who ever junked Gordon's post to me is a coward. Gordon can be insulting and over the top at times and I can see where someone might want to junk him to tell him to ease up. There is nothing in this post that is offensive. Nothing.
So who's bitch are you, coward? Afraid Gordon will ream your ass if you come out of the shadows and make an honest stand for your point of view? Can't handle the heat at fight club?
He didn't hide when the price of gold was down. He stuck around to defend his thesis.
I have posted before that I have decided that gold is political for me. I have also been a bit of a noob as of late, Gordons just reminding me of why I'm in the game with the position I have.
So tell me, sniveling roach, (you can post anon if you need to, stay safe in the shadows) why did you junk this?
The only people I can see who might want to junk this are the criminals he is referencing, or shills for the criminals he is referencing.

Agree, reading ZH is like being in the Psychic Friends Network. Or perhaps the Cassandra Network since you can tell your friends what's going to happen and they still won't listen to you...
The "Pimp My Insolvent Bank" show nearly made milk come out my nose (and I wasn't even drinking milk).
I had in fact just finished reading the Kashkari puff piece, which made me suspicious since most 36 yr olds have enough means to retire indefinitely. Plus, helping Paulson with his book? What a devoted lickspittle. Then seeing the "Welcome to PIMCO" article confirmed my suspicions that he's a soldier turd of epic proportions. Think he'll be packing heat in El Lay like his other GS bretheren in NY?
P.S. Did you know: Prior to his career in finance, Mr. Kashkari was a R&D Principal Investigator at TRW in Redondo Beach, California where he developed technology for NASA space science missions such as the James Webb Space Telescope."

a couple of observations about the article...
1. Learn to use an axe, Neel. There's no need to be breaking a perfectly good wooden axe for the photo op. Oh, and quit mentioning how therapeutic it is... maybe the first day or two on the ranch it was... after that it's just another friggin' chore.
2. I guess the paperwork he was doing in one of the photos was his HR packet for Pimco.
3. Washington Post, really? Do we need a 20-photo slideshow of Neel Kashkari's life in Truckee? Maybe Japanese whale hunting or Darfur, or even IED missions in Iraq are worth 20 photos. Neel Kashkari is definitely unworthy
4. Note to self: Self, when my CEO gets appointed to a high-level government job, just ring him up and ask to come along. It worked for Neel, I'm sure it can work for me.

I posted the ZH link along with the following comment at Roubini's:
PIMCO came out with the Kashkari hiring announcement today. The WP piece came out yesterday. There it is mentioned that Kash would start a new job in the financial services industries. Why couldn't they say it was at PIMCO?
Now I understand why the guy was in California. While reading the WP article, I could never understand how an Ohio guy ended up in California. As I read the article I kept waiting for an explanation on how he got to California, how he got the land.
Now I believe I know: It would appear he landed the job at PIMCO and then moved to Califirnia; with the detox routine been part of the deal with the detox routine, perhaps, even suggested by zen type Gross:-)
