I want to tell you a story about what happens to this rich guy named ScroogeMcBernak, who loves his money and doesn't love God, when he dies.
Uponn death his body, of course, goes into the grave and knows nothing. A lot of rich people turn out for the funeral, but they don't know where the hell he is. Meanwhile his soul has gone down, down into Sheol in the center of the earth, to the Netherworld of hopelessness. ("hell", a Teutonic word, isn't in the bible, but the idea of it is) Someone once wrote, "abandon hope, all you who enter here". There was McBernak, existing as a shadow tormented by the worm of his conscience.
Someone is speaking to him now in a thin, pained voice, as of years and years of suffering. "I’m the rich man in Jesus’ story about the rich man and Lazarus. Everyday Lazarus, a poor man, sat at my gate begging, he regrettably said. Lazarus died and went to Paradise. I died and came to this place, crying out to Abraham over in Paradise. I would have gone over there but for the great gulf fixed between us. He could still see in his mind’s eye the ‘poor’ Lazarus reclining, eating clusters of grapes.
Some suffering soul butted in, betwixt gasps of pain, that Lazarus wasn’t over there anymore. “Jesus…(sigh), when he was crucified, (argh) and died (ehiooh) came down here announcing to those on the hell side of Sheol that he overcame death. Yeah, he just shouted it, then lead captivity-- those on the Paradise side, up into heaven,” then his voice trailing hopelessly away, “leaving us here in Sheol.”

I know I’ve heard of that somewhere.” He saw Antichrist and his false prophet in there already one thousand years looking non-the worse-for-wear, just feeling it. “Location, location, location!” as realtors, Hilter and Stalin were thrown in by an angel near the middle of the lake, “kerplunk” into the deepest depths, right next to the lawyers. While ordinary sinners were around the perimeter, suffering in agony, posessing glorified bodies, they could never die. Great and small, rich and poor were in it. They were each paying the price for their sins which would last for eternity.
There is the story of Scrooge McBernak. I hope you learn the lesson of this story and never, ever go there.

Christmas – 2010I love coming to back to Hawaii, seeing my old school friends and golfing the world’s most scenic courses. I go for a swim in the morning, have breakfast, a short rest and then I’m off to a different golf course every day. What I life. Back in Washington I can’t swim in the ocean and usually wind up playing golf on the same course day after day. Golf gets my mind off the country’s problems. I need time to relax, time to think how best to use our nations resources and make meaning investments in the future. All I need is more money. I just want to raise taxes on those that can afford to pay –you know those earning over $250,000. God, those Republicans, you’d think I’d insulted their grandmother the way they howl. But I have a plan, I’ll give them some spending cuts ( with one of those opt out letters attached) and they’ll give me my tax (investment) money to spend. God, I felt great spending that first trillion dollars on health care. When I was growing up here in Hawaii I never thought I’d get my hands on a trillion dollars. Warren Buffett called and congratulated me. I talked to Warren for about twenty minutes and he said he’d be happy to pay more in taxes. I just love Warren.
I thought I'd share one of my favorite golfing photos with you. Look at that swing. I take lessons once a week, I won't tell you the golfers name, but he's a legend in the sport. He flies all the way in from Scottsdale, Arizona for my lesson, what a guy. With his help I've cut two strokes off my handicap. Got to go, time for golf.

Seven families have already been evacuated from the area, and officials have advised farmers against allowing livestock to drink from the surface water.
Despite concerted efforts of crewmembers, tainted water continued to flow from the site as recently as Thursday morning.
The blowout has left many unanswered questions, and public safety officials have said it will be days or even weeks before they are able to gather a better understanding of how this leak will affect surrounding areas.
News reports indicate serious environmental damage headed toward the Susquehanna River Basin, and Catskill Mountainkeeper has filed a FOIA request with EPA Region 3 for the release of further information.
The spill, which was caused by an equipment malfunction, occurred on the eve of the one-year anniversary of BP's Deepwater Horizon rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico, and drills home the point that current drilling practices and procedures are simply not safe.
Existing regulatory processes for natural gas drilling have proven time and again to be woefully inadequate. Current procedure ensures not only that natural gas companies undergo almost no safety and procedural review, but also that these same companies are shielded from having to disclose information regarding the specifics of chemicals used during fracking operations - even though many of these chemicals have proven carcinogenic and radioactive.
With all of the budget cuts the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has been facing over the last couple of years, it's hard to imagine how they might now have the resources to deal with the aftermath of this spill.
"The disregard the industry has demonstrated with regards to the oversight of their fracking operations is criminal," says Catskill Mountainkeeper Executive Director, Ramsay Adams. "We cannot stand by while big natural gas corporations - like Chesapeake - persist in the utilization and promotion of the same sorry, unsafe drilling practices, which once again here have proven to be unsafe. The continued implementation of such methods endangers the health and sustainability of our lands, water, and community."

Now we have color, charts, pattern recognition software, etc. "Painting the Charts" is more like it now, and The Fed is accused of rigging the markets, namely the S&P 500 E-Mini futures, and The Russell 2000 Futures. Perhaps its true, why wouldn't it be? The Benbernake is a student of the depression, what was the cause of it? STOCK PRICES CRASHED, oh, yeah, right they did. ChairSatan Benzelbub has taken this to a whole 'nuther level, distorting Elliott Wave interpretations along the way. But so what? The higher they go, the farther the fall, if & when. And fall they will when the path of least resistance is down, when they run out of money to buy. The low volume means nobody else is buying, but when the selling starts there will be many sellers! An army of termites munched through 10 million rupees ($222,000) in currency notes stored in a steel chest at a bank, police in northern India said Friday.
The bank manager discovered the damage when he opened the reinforced room in an old bank building on Wednesday, police officer Navneet Rana told The Associated Press.
"It's a matter of investigation how termites attacked bundles of currency notes stacked in a steel chest," he said. The money was put in the chest in January.
The termites had damaged bank furniture and documents in the past.
The police have registered a case of negligence against bank officials in Barabanki, a town 20 miles (30 kilometers) southwest of Lucknow, the Uttar Pradesh state capital. In India, police register a case before opening an investigation.
