Just because the dollar is no longer the WRC does not, in itself, mean that it does not have value outside of the United States, or even that other countries will stop using it as their own (eg., Ecuador). Nor does it mean that drugs transactions won't be settled in dollars. The dollar can still be converted to local currencies in countries where they are not accepted directly for purchases. And, of course, dollars can still be deposited and washed through banks and other financial intermediaries nearly anywhere in the world. I don't see the presumed loss of dollar WRC-status having a dramatic effect on the illegal drugs trade.

There are two things happening right now that really piss me off: 1. Recognizing that oil prices are up primarily because of social unrest in the mid-east (including Obummer's foray into Libya) and the non-stop printing of US Dollars, it amazes me that Obummer is going after the speculators, with absolutely no evidence of wrongdoing. Why won't he go after the banksters who destroyed our economy when there is so much evidnence of fraud and corruption? I just don't get it. 2. Why won't anyone tell the truth about what is really happening with our economy and how the derivatives biz has taken us all hostage? Where is the lamestream press on both 1. and 2.?

Is the only thing left that can save the dollar in the short-term a significant stock market sell-off? The only time there is strength in the buck over the last few years is stocks declines. Or, stated differently will the powers that be sell off stocks to prop the buck so it not a sled ride to the bottom for the buck? Just thinking aloud.

FYI- Why did all of these "uprising" in the middle east start. I think the NWO is doing a double cross of the oil producing states. Uprising starts, governments are overthrown and taken over by the Muslim Brotherhood, who do not have ties to any oil contracts, and then once Saudi Arabia falls they collapse the dollar and with it all holdings those states have. In essence, the NWO sends the middle east back to the stone ages without getting dirty. Once the dollar is dead then they can turn around and bring in a new currency and open up all American oil fields and hit the reset button with more control and power than before.

European Central Bank Executive Board member Juergen Stark reveals in a ZDF Radio broadcast tomorrow that "a sovereign debt restructuring in a euro zone state could could trigger a banking crisis worse than that unleashed by the collapse of Lehman Brothers"

Not world-wide of course, but this would be euroland's Lehman. As we already know, euroland simply does not have neither the wherewithal nor the will to deal with a Lehman type of collapse on the continent.

The German people and Bundestag would simply walk away from the Teuro...
