To Orwellian Governments Around the Globe, Censoring = Fortifying the Censored!

Reggie Middleton's picture

I must admit that I am quite perturbed by the sheer amount of effort
concentrated at not only censoring Wikileaks, but the censoring of media
outlets that meerely comment on Wikileaks! It has become truly
Orwellian in stature, and the worst part is that the attempts to censor
something as distributed and collective in intellectual capital as the
Internet is futile. All it has done has created ample bad will for
governments worldwide, and those corporations that bowed to the pressure
of said governments yet refuse to admit it. The bad will has gotten to
the point where even I am pulling my patronage from Amazon (that means
colored Nooks from now on, not Kindles, Barnes & Nobles for books
and not Amazon.com, and Netflix for streaming content in lieu of Video
on Demand). I can understand the need to bow to the pressure of the US
government if you need to stay in business, but to cowtow and lie takes
it a step to far.

S, now that Amazon, the US government and a host of other entities
have bandied together to censor Wikileaks and those media outlets that
report on it, they have made Wikileaks more popular than Wikipedia
itself! In addition, due to the distributed, collective community
intelligence nature of the Internet, they have also (by pulling the plug
on its conventional infrastructure) created a nearly unassailable
infrastructure in the process. So, Wikileaks is banned in the Library of
Congress, corporate intranets, and Amazon, but it lives everywhere
else. You see, Censorship is to the Internet as Contagion is to a Host
Body. The Internet (eg. the host body) moves to remove censorship as
contagion. See below:

Mirror WikiLeaks Anonymously on Your Android Phone! Dec 5, 2010 These instructions are complete with root, server, automirror, and firewall… and there’s more:

Go around town to popular open wifi access points, connect to them, and save them.

If you want to be really sneaky, install a
remote access app. That way you can leave the phone plugged in at an
anonymous indoor location near a public wifi hotspot, such as in the
ceiling of a utility closet of a public library. Just remember to set
it to reboot regularly in case something locks up.

Conclusion

If even a percentage of users did this,
there would be tens of thousands of WikiLeaks mirrors hidden around the
globe. Quite simple, really. And it makes the shutting down of
WikiLeaks.com seem as utterly foolish as it was.

With millions of Android phones being sold every month, imagine if
just .02% of those followed these directions! Your talking roughly two
or three thousand additional Wikileak mirror sites, anonymously
distributed, every month.

Below is a Twitter dump on the mirroring of the Wikileaks site, and
keep in mind that these tweeted instructions are coming in at an AVERGAGE OF 3 PER SECOND!

0.04 seconds
Results for wikileaks mirror

3 more results since you started searching. Refresh to see them.

The Internet has become practically impossible to censor. I will do
my part Monday and Tuesday by releasing information that debunks the
misinformation and disinformation that has been disseminated by both
several governments world wide, complete with plenty of proof to back it
up. This stuff wasn’t leacked, but it did have to be forced from the
governments through legal means, so I guess its the same effect. Let’s
hope BoomBustBlog doesn’t go dark before then…

i would not be surprised that some day we learn wikileaks was a creation of the usa just like al qaeda was.

After all, if you think about it, the word leaks implies someting coming from the inside not the outside.

Dude, Come On!

They are giving away BIG SECRETS:

The Mexican Drug War has Failed?

Mrs Clinton is a sneaky, conniving, power hungry, vicious Woman?

Saudi Arabia funds AQ and doesn't like Iran?

We got all sorts of kooky and lecherous folks in charge of all kinds of stuff?

Bank of America is corrupt?

No?

These weren't secrets? Really?

Exactly right. these are not leaks, these are disinformations and political destabilizing. Leaks usually come from whistleblowers not politicians using tools. We are being played.

The first rule in a war is to cut off communication of your enemy...They are at war with the internet.  One day everyone will wakeup and find the net gone.  TPTB or One world'er want total control. Only way is to shut down all communication.  They will use a false Flag event (like an EMP attack) to shut down the internet.

Really this goes for everything in life. Doesn't mean there is something wrong it just a good habit of always be aware.

I take WL at face value but of course am 'aware' to not let it or any other information that comes to me be the sole thing that forms my opinions on anything.

Assange likely got "owned" by some nameless agency years ago.

He was a hot-shit little hacker with a bad attitude. He probibly got caught doing something that was going to get him in a lot of trouble...

But they gave him a "way out"... They always do if you can do tricks and stuff that they might find useful later on (That's why all the big banksters aren't in prison... They still have some tricks up the 'ol sleeve).

Viola, here we are today.

It would perfectly explain why Assange has no idea why he is doing it.

Agreed. there is no way this guy could be doing all this with his own resources. he is  a tool. the question is, of whom. personally i think the leaks come from the top down not the bottom up. what a nice way to take out hillary in the next election and weaken the country you hate, maybe obama thought to himself.

Let me give anyone who is unsure about what this WL thing might be a suggestion.

It's not that big of a chore compared to reading most of the WL junk.

Read through the following materiel before making any further judgement on what kind of Animal you are dealing with:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_propaganda

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_Operations_%28United_States%29

http://www.fas.org/irp/doddir/army/fm3-05-301.pdf   [Particulary Appendix D: Advertising and Social Marketing]

Also note the Omissions on "Techniques" from previous versions of the Psyop Manual.

Which can be found here:

If you scan this stuff and you still don't feel sure about WL... Then go with your gut.

I know I'm going to get bashed for this but here it is anyway:

DON'T TRUST everything wikileaks leaks. They give you some truth to get your trust only to give you a bigger lie later on. On one hand, wikileaks bashes US foreign policy and with the other it leaks info that is accelerating the path towards war with IRAN.

no bash from me.  Wikileaks is not a policy organization they release information.  There is a distinct possibility there may be some managed misdirection.

I used to think it was impossible for these wars to be going on this long.  It will be the end of the civilized economy if one more war, and one with Iran, breaks out.

I'm more concerned about the government using wikileaks as a straw man in a terrorist event thast will allow them to stampede net neutrality.

PS: I am just tickled to death that a teensy organization, with a yearly operating budget less than half of my net worth, can make monkeys out of the world's greatest superpower. I am a student of matter military, and no foe of true American ideals, but this is just funny.

It is a very cost effective operation isn't it?

The level of sophistication used in media manipulation gets better with every lap too!

I would hardly say that the US is either the Worlds Greatest Superpower or has been made Monkey's of.

The US is another rusting hulk with Nukes. Just like many others at this point.

If you are still thinking in terms like "Worlds Greatest Superpower" and you are a student of Martial matters, you might want to start a quick overview of the last 20 years or so of Military thinking. Because even they know we are not a Global Superpower.

You know 4GW and all that new jazz?

We are all Global Superpowers now cowboy. You can lease a botnet from a Czech hacker and own the planet next weekend if you want to.

The "Government" I am talking about is apolitical.

There is an underlying institution that always wears the same hat no matter who is "in charge".

I am starting to see parallels between the WL issue and the "Crash JP Morgan" project too.

Maybe my paranioa is on duty today...

Didn't JPM get a govvy bailout when they were about to belly up?

Doesn't that bailout money come from the US taxpayer?

If we crash JPM and they get another govvy bailout are we not the ones who get gaped in the end anyway?

Maybe JPM is now totally insolvent again and they WANT us to crash them so they get another Bailout under the cover of "being attacked" by a bunch of silver pirates?

History is full of wise generals who had thier enemies construct themselves the very machines that would end up being their own doom.

I notice a lot of ex-pats coming up with these ideas for us CONUS-tards to try in our backyard.

They seem to be fairly insulated from any unintended consequences of the plans blowing up.

Maybe we want to think about these Ex-Pat ideas before we start to execute them?

If you want to shit on this country, I don't have a problem with it... As long as you live here.

I don't need input from guys who run away from the big, bad US, go overseas and fling poop back at the US.

If it was worth flinging poop at, you could have stayed. Now you are no longer a stakeholder but you have some ideas for me to try?

How about this, You gave up and ran away, thus giving up a good percentage of your voice in how things are run here.

Fuck people, how do you think things got to be "good" in the first place?

I'll tell you: People like these Ex-Pats got fed up and started making changes around them.

Watch a beaver go to work. They select an area to begin and just start chewing down the trees closest to them. Once he has an area cleared that is big enough to manuver the downed trees, he starts to "pick off" the big trees further out... The ones he needs to be the centerpeices for his lodge.

It's the same thing for us; clear an area of "deadwood" and then go get the plumb pieces you need to support a future.

Ex-Pat's are my target because:

1. They are highly motivated

2. They are usually very intelligent

3. They have fiscal common sense

They ARE the cream of America's crop and they are leaving this country in record numbers.

Without them-- Every one of them, it becomes harder and harder to imagine a future that will be OK for the US.

Sorry Ex-Pats, but you ARE partly responsible.

Bad drives out Good. It's a universal truism.

Ex-pats need a manifesto that indicates what it takes to re-patriate them.

I see value in breaking market manipulation, but who really pays for it in the end?

None of these problems are going get solved in any way that most Americans will find acceptable.

to consider buying silver could be a reverse conspiracy under the pretense of JPM needing another bailout... interesting, but- does anyone have the numbers on what exactly JPM's exposure to silver really is in today's dollars?

I interpret the campaign to buy silver as an attempt to push a domestic arm of the global banking cartel on their backs, and maybe get some people's attention so there can be a strong push for real, systemic reform?

My recommendation is as follows until I see some things that indicate this is not a fraud:

DO NOT DOWNLOAD anything WL.

Read about it on a website, look at scribd docs, BUT DON'T possess these files if you are in the US.

If this was legit, all the files would have been dumped en masse to thousands of locations and NOT been attributable to any individual.

This is a Hack Job, but on who?

Somebody is looking to enumerate blame for all sorts of failure. Do not end up with these files or you might end up the "Bad Guy" for a whole lot more than downloading some "classified" fucking gossip.

I can't understand why anyone would want a bunch of diplomatic gossip and other soap operatic shit knowing that there is not a thing they could do about any of it. It ALREADY HAPPENED.

I'm much more concerned about what is going on RIGHT NOW.

Think about it... If Gold were Wikileaks?

Time to SHORT WL.

Kiss network "freedoms" goodbye if it "works".

Notice they are heavily targeting the loudest dissent groups on the web with the WL line?

ZH being at the top of that list.

That is why I am all over this Post.

Everyone here at ZH is always looking for that big Black Swan... I am shocked that no one sees this for what it is.

Well here it is.

Its phase number (who knows) in the big squeeze.

I am on the fence with this.

At every turn my gut tells me this is not what it seems to be.

Why are ONLY US Governemt documents being released?

Does WL not get files from other Governments?

Are they not as "incriminating" as the US documents?

The MSM sure seems to have a hard on for this story... Aren't they supposed to be bombarding me with Kim Kardashians under-age sex affairs? Or Hulk Hogan's latest comeback?

None of these documents contain info that would surprise anyone who has been paying attention to events in the world, yet they are "classified".

No REAL classified documentation that would really be harmful to the USG has been released that I can see.

The more I think about it, the more it seems to smell.

What is the point?

Assange admits he doesn't even know why he is doing it when asked?

For someone who values Privacy and Anonymity enough to not have a home, Assange sure is in my face on the TV and Web a whole bunch, we know more about what he is doing than our own President.

Are they trying to make him a hero?

Are they trying to make a figure head that all malcontents magnetically attract to?

It would make "Malcontent Cleanup Operations" soooo much more efficient.

That WL insurance file could be a little blue pellet they are just hoping you carry back to your little nest.

It's a frigging tagent for them to sniff out later.

So Amazon and Paypal rolled over. What kind of pressure were they under? I think the American people deserve to know how these two companies came to the decision.

This is interesting to me in that it presents a significant conflicted right and wrong issue. For those that sincerely state or feel or know that they are willing to die for this Nation, and conversely die fighting leaders gone wrong in this Nation, how does it fit, how does it play? Everyone thought Ford Motor Company was a rock star for not getting bailed out. Ford builds cars, GM is bean counters, Right? Oooop, hidden from America, Ford was bailed out. Maybe not Winileaker, but not willingly given out. Winibadvalve shows the Citizen the sausage making process.

The opaque and dark and blackout seem the norm of the US Government. We do not know enough to govern ourselves. Obviously intended. On the other hand, there are operations where the US Government and Military need to operate in secret.

It may be that spies and turn coats have had their place throughout history. Truth tellers have also had rough treatment historically. It is unfortunate at least.

That is only what is being published. There are tens of thousands of copies.

You can't imagine how many copies of this there are by now and where they might be.

There are many offline copies too, jump drives from Iceland to South Africa are being stashed away in secret hiding places.

It's wayyyyy tooooo late for the govy to do much of anything now except try to scare people into not touching it.

Keep in mind that this could all very well be a clever trap designed to catch the most "dangerous" of the dissenters.

They ran a similar scam a while back using a website that people could sign up to "overthrow the government".

The name of the "project" was T.R.A.P. -- The Restore America Project.

It had some guy running it who sent out letters to a bunch of Governors stating they would be removed by a certain date if they didn't step down.

Maybe that was the pilot project for this Wikileaks stuff? I dunno.

But if the Feds decide to label the possession of these Wikileaks files as Treason and go after those who possess it as "terrorists"... I wouldn't be surprised.

Don't think for a minute that they can't zero in on folks who dl this using a plain 'ol interweb connection. They have those "Kiddie Porn" probes everywhere throughout the US. It's only a matter of twiddling a few parameters to have it "sense" the signature of that WL Insurance file.
