Is Paulson Offloading BofA In Dark Pools?

Tyler Durden's picture

Some interesting market chatter was recently intercepted: if true, then JP may be quietly offloading at least some part of his financial exposure using dark liquidity.

BAC warrants (BAC/WS/A warrants, 13.3 strike jan 2019 expiration) had a print last night of 30mm at 4:31 (average daily volume of 800k).....Paulson was a holder of 30mm as of his last 13-F....lot of talk floating around as to what the print was all about, and anyone involved is being tight lipped.....I believe it was BAC themselves that put the print up in the Dark Pools.....if anyone has info would love to hear it, otherwise passing along what little info I know......

As noted above, Paulson had exactly 30MM of the Jan '19s as per the last 13F.  As a reminder, Paulson sold 30MM BofA
shares in the quarter ending September 30. Which begs the question: is JP using the recent run up in BAC to bail? Any readers with insight are welcome to chime in.

My big wonder is...

Do u think Wikileaks has only 1 or 2 banks on target? how many insurance and trading firms, and conventional companies?....i mean, this is just the iceberg´s upfront, for sure.

Weakileaks got the exact amount of information the government wanted them to.  Then again, Obama has been trying to villinize the banks from day one, so we might get some good stuff.

cuz he's fighting for 'the people'!

ron paul also denies 9/11 truth in public. so what? just because someone doesn't believe 9/11 is an inside job, doesn't mean suddenly his organization must be a cia/soros conspiracy to shut down the internet. give it a break. some of you are so eager....just sooo eager to put wikileaks down. fact is....they are doing good work and they have ALL the right enemies. i.e. the big losers hate wikileaks. that might mean they are something good....did you ever think about that?

yeah and since Zero Hedge started the market has been manipulated to the sum of 5 trillion dollars. Stimulus, MBS circle jerking, QE1,QE LITE, QE2 and many more desperate surprises as well. CNBC is owned by GE...need I say more? Jeff Immelt is on Obama's economic advisory commitee. Everything ZH has pointed out wouldn't have survived without a bailout or a stimulus or some other bullshit way to cover the Ponzi. How can ZH predict such acts of desperation? They can't because they are sensible and understand the consequences from such desperate actions.

NO!  I refuse to believe that anyone would sell short the future of this shining institution.  Can't be.  Must be a planted story so that we would go all, "we know that you know that we know that you know..." and rush out to buy things like Blight-o-America.com.  This, of course, would be reason to buy the S&P, to boot.

Something smells here, Tyler.  After all, who would not love what Blight on America is doing with all those "lost titles" they be carryin'?  You don't think Average Joe would be mad about being pledged to six different MBS paper crap devices...you know, so that golden parachute money could be set aside...do you?

Dark, light, clear, opaque pools, doesn't matter...

"Transparency" sounds like a good thing until you realize it means that you are coerced into publishing private information that you would like to keep private.  Imagine if the government passed a "private data neutrality act" mandating that everyone send all their email through google, everyone make a facebook account and link it to the GPS in their cellular phones so that facebook knows where you are at all times, etc.  Transparency, bitchez!

The same is true for one's holdings of securities and one's intent to buy or sell.

OFF TOPIC BIBLICAL QUESTION.

If the Christ child was also God, then why did "God" have to tell Joseph to get to Egypt?

Why couldn't the baby Jesus tell him? In fact, why was he ever in danger?

Read the Gospel of Mark for a real mind-bending story.

My theory is that the Holy Trinity begins AFTER Christ is crucified.

I am trying to find a reason to care. 75% of the US population does not know there is a depression/recession/ whatever you want to call it happening. BofA my be run by an army of middle aged white male thieves but, they do provide services that make life easier to deal with that local banks cannot provide.

I do not care if Wikileaks has proof that all of the executive officers of BofA sit around on weekends and suck each others' chicken. I do not care if BofA stole $10 Trillion.

I am not moving my accounts from BofA. I am not closing out my equity line of credit that has an interest rate of 3.5%-nor  are the other 75% of the population that have accounts there.

Someone wants that stock; and there is a reason- and I do not give a rat's ass what that reason is.

There are two things that diminish my enjoyment of each day. One is rumors about BofA and the other is Sara Palin. If I could just go one day without reading or hearing about these two screw ups I would be happy.

Who the hell is anyone kidding with any of this today?  Seriously, if a free market republic banana tree falls in the forest when no one is there, would the Blow Horn [CNBC] just do another story on shopping?

If thousands years of human struggle on the continent of Europe is suddenly sold to Chinese Communists so that Greek folk can have their cake and eat it too...and everything remains intraday peachy...what planet am I on?

Obviously, I am suffering from oxygen deprivation if anything I am seeing and reading about from under my pile of coats in my closet today is even remotely connected to things that are actually happening...in the world...not my parallel universe.

This market should be sold every single minute of every single day until the crooks in charge of this mess are removed from positions of power.

REAL CAPITAL--WHICH IS DIFFERENT THAN BERNANKE CAPITAL--CANNOT FORM IN BANKS AS CORRUPTS AS THOSE PERPETRATING TODAY'S MASSIVE MARKET MANIPULATION.

I think it is pretty much over, folks...until the will to restore the rule of law emerges again in America.

But of course...WHAT DO I KNOW?

The BAC-Wikileaks thing is a complete farce. If anything truly incriminating was to be released, I'm sure TPTB would step in front of it (think cruise missile into the Pentagon). This is like another bogus stress test of sorts, nothing more. Then again, maybe someone does know something? I hear the Hindenburg is back too (not that this mattered the last time...LOL).

Would insiders be required by law to disclose this trade? It seems like a hedge against the company going bk.

BAC has been selling the furniture and settling lawsuits like mad lately.  I'm too lazy to go find the links though.
