Well I love cups with handles, thus dripping less beer on myself. But I got a hundred boxed in the garage. And the hat looks like a hated Oregon Ducks affiliation. My boxes of hats are in the garage too.
I suggest a zestier logo for starts.....color and dignity....or just color if you can't find dignity. Keep the theme. Then build the merchandizing plan around it. " I love ZERO .......going to Zero ( pic of hedge) " . Nah....! Merchandizing and brand ID are always a clever blend. Takes time , imagination and a single-mindedness to tie the two together in a contemporary way.
But the 4-letter word ZERO is always an eye appeal when properly presented.
And merchandise sitting on the desks of finan types is where you wanna' go. Those dude/ettes drink from Starbucks cups and avoid hats in the office.
So we're talking about cool stuff to be found in an office. Most people daydream in there anyway......think, think.

I don't understand why you guys don't just release a plain American Apparel t-shirt that says "zerohedge" or has the insignia in the middle of the shirt (I would prefer "zerohedge" or "zerohedge.com"). Keep it simple. Have 2 colors, white with black letters and black with white letters. Sell it for $20 each. Done and done. I would buy 2 of each color.
Instead you come out with mugs and a hat and a thong. As someone pointed out, the world does not need any more mugs.
My personal want ZeroHedge desires are a nice Poloshirt with just the logo, nice oxford type shirts...again with just the Logo.
