Public Records Request RE Judge Victor Tobin Joining Foreclosure Mill Marshall C. Watson

4closureFraud's picture

You all remember Chief Judge Victor Tobin in Broward County Florida
who quit to go work for a fraudclosure mill after smoothing the way for
massive fraudclosures to be granted to foreclosing entities who
perpetrated fraud upon the court and land records???

You know, the email he sent out this week...

From: Judge Tobin/17THCircuit
Date: May 17, 2011 5:57:22 PM
To: ALL JUDGES, ALL JAS
Cc: Carol L Ortman

Late
this afternoon, I notified Governor Scott that I would be resigning as a
Circuit Judge effective June 30, 2011.  Effective July 1, 2011, I will
return to private practice with the Law Offices of Marshall C. Watson
I wish to express my sincere thanks to each judge for permitting me the
honor of being your Chief Judge during the last four years.  I
appreciate the confidence you placed in me.

Vic Tobin

Right... The same foreclosure mill that just settled with Bondi for $2 mil for false and fabricated paperwork…

Well, let's see if we can find out what really went down...

They
will probably give every excuse in the book not to answer, but that
will only make the parties involved look even more suspicious...

Check out the request below...

And of course, their response will be posted for all to see as well...

USC Article III Section 1. " The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time time ordain and establish, The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behavior, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office."

Of course the whole "shall not be diminished" thing kinda puts a spotlight on that International monetary fund thingy. Beholden as it is to those with eyes to see; A giant suck pill to thee.

The issue is much broader than the judiciary...  We have long struggled with the interchange between regulators and private practice...  and it seems the problem has only compounded with time...  whether it be Goldman's presence in the administration or judges going back to private practice with firms whose cases they've seen many times before...  I think one of the issues with recovery is that no clear barrier exists...  there is no desire to contain persons within one paradigm...

At any rate, I cannot fathom how this judge going to work for that firm can pass the smell test.  The issue is not that any impropriety necessarily happened, the issue is that there exists the appearance of impropriety...  this, in and of itself, should be enough for sanctions or other remedial efforts.

HOLD ON! My mortgage foreclosure has been fucked-up by Marshall C. Watson frontways, backwards, and sidewize (for 40 months). Do you think its right that they hire the guy who has been tossing their cases from Browards 17th Civil Court? Is it right that documents I have have his signature or letterhead on them and now he is counsel for the plaintiff? Are you kidding me????

In Watson's defense, that $2 million should be refunded since FLAG Biondi's case was tossed after they paid it. Maybe that's why Tobin is there.

Peter Weinstein takes over as chief, isn't he on Family Guy? Its not him, I met him in April 2010, at least he's not a robo-judge like Brogan(retired)(imagineered).

Broward County (South Florida, Ft. Laud/Pompano/Sunrise/Coral Springs) COURTS need some attention, and this gets it hopefully. Pam Biondi has a tough job, but she's gonna do it.

You can ask for a judicial review from the Feds.  Clearly this is an issue with individual liberty denial.  I bet there are many minorities that got shafted by this judge, so there could also be a raical component that could be taken advantage of.  The Feds do go after judges that make decisions that "disporportionately" affect minorities, and they love those cases.

Ask the local federals for a judicial review based on misconduct and collusion, that could have disporportional racial/cultrual effect.

The references alone would get him hired in a jiffy....Stern, Linda Green, Meenu, Bondi, Holder, Pfoetenhauer, Moynihan...lol

Your brother couldn't possibly be my boyfriend, as my boyfriend doesn't believe in God. He does however believe in Obama. WTF??? I expect the 'bottom' to fall out in the next year, maybe less. My honey is very smug about his half million $ in his 401k. I wonder how smug he'll feel when his messiah, signs the legislation taking control of it? I've tried to warn him about what's in the works and he swears it'll never happen. Obama is not corrupt and can be trusted. My BF is in for a rude awakening. I wonder how he'll cope with being impovrished?

I wouldn't count on that.  Look at Obama and all his records, BC, college transcripts, etc.  Anyone who even suspects fraud is labled a right wing extremist, racist, and conspiracy theorist.  My Obama worshiping boyfriend not only believes Obama is the best thing that ever happened to the world, he also believes there is no mortgage fraud or fraud in DC and Wall Street.  THIS is the problem those of us who know what's going on have......

I hope you realize Obama did not invent Wall Street corruption in DC

As long as your questioning of govt corruption is tied to your hate of one candidate, one party, they have the US population captured...if it was all the fault of W and Paulson , Repubs dereg fault and since they had control of Pres and Congress from 2000-2006, some fault should be there, then you'd think Dems/Obama will fix the problem, but is Wall Street/govt any less corrupt...if it was all Obama/Geithner's fault ( ignoring first 8 years of century), then you'd think Tea Party, Repubs will be hard on Wall Street corruption..yeah right.

Boehner was the one that cried on House floor when begging Repubs to pass bank bailout TARP in 2008...I felt sorry for all the riled up Tea Partiers that were so shocked when Repubs did not immediately turn on financial corruption, big govt powers, when they got to House but were busy passing anti abortion bills, nothing about outsourcing, nothing about immigration, nothing about jobs ( just like W and Congress from 2000-2006), nothing about corruption...just as Dems got played in '08, Repubs got played in '10....

Consider the Repubs track record in last few years with Wall Street corruption...Dems passed a very mild, very toothless Wall Street reform bill and Wall Street, who had been giving massive money to both Dems and Repubs, switched to giving most of their money to Repubs...and when they did, number two in the House, Cantor, was crowing about it, saying in a public quote to a newspaper, that Wall Street had buyers remorse in regards to Dems and it was making his job, fund raising, so much easier because now the Repubs were getting all the Wall Street money.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703575004575043612216461790.html

from Feb 2010:

Last week, House Minority Leader John Boehner of Ohio made a pitch to Democratic contributor James Dimon, the chairman and chief executive of J.P. Morgan, over drinks at a Capitol Hill restaurant, according to people familiar with the matter.

Mr. Boehner told Mr. Dimon congressional Republicans had stood up to Mr. Obama's efforts to curb pay and impose new regulations. The Republican leader also said he was disappointed many on Wall Street continue to donate their money to Democrats, according to the people familiar with the matter.

A spokeswoman for J.P. Morgan declined to comment Wednesday.

"I sense a lot of dissatisfaction and a lot of buyer's remorse on Wall Street," said Rep. Eric Cantor (R., Va.), the second-ranking House Republican and a top Wall Street fund-raiser for his party.

If Obama is ultimate in Wall Street corruption, why did Wall Street turn on him and funnel massive money to congressional candidates to oppose him?

And to the corruption in FL, is this a Repub or Dem thing? What party is Tobin? Does it matter....either as a legislator and govt official, like a Attorney General, either you are for rule of law and weeding out corruption or you are for your own selfish interests, your corrupt cronies interests. Are Repubs or Dems in FL bringing on tough investigations of corruption? Last I heard the governor, whose company prior to becoming a politician was convicted of massive medicare fraud, overbillign govt, was pimping a big govt program to drug test people while he owns interest in drug test company...I'm sure the drug testing thing was a major up front thing in his campaign and that was foremost on Floridians minds when they went to vote...we need to spend more on drug testing....he is corrupt and overly partisan ideologues that think one person, one party is the source of all corruption allow this to happen by backing their party's guy even when he is corrupt, both Dems and Repubs make this mistake.

Until we pull our heads out and require clean candidates in both red and blue primary fights, require candidates that back the rule of law, promise to root out corruption, we will get run over by these corrupt cronies.

Our only hope is folks like 4closurefraud.

I think BOTH Ds and Rs are just criminal gangs that fight each other to decide who gets to ass rape us.  My boyfriend, on the other hand, is one of Lenin's useful idiots.  Those useful idiots are the folks you have a beef with, not me.

Moneymutt, you wasted valuable breath saying ZERO. Imagine a courtroom, where a flailing attorney is making a bogus case, and the Judge suddenly rips off his robe and jumps down from his chair. He then takes up the feeble microphone from the plaintiffs hands, and says, Is this thing on? I know what you did wrong, and I';m ready to really screw the homeowner for you (ahem, my salary?) BULLSHIT with a capital T.

K.D. is a true genius. You can take that to the bank.

He takes R-L politics a bit too seriously, IMO, but he's on the money when it comes to financial crimes and misdemeanors. Which to me is all that really counts. I mean, what the fuck is this: if you enforce the law, the system collapses; and yet, without the rule of law, the system's collapse is ab initio. Karl understands and explains this very well.

I still say he was sexually abused as a kid and is working off his rage from it...There's no other way to account for his distempered, spittle flecked fury, riddled with allusions to sodomy.

On target about systemic amerikan econ ponzi fraud and embezzlemet, he is himself, a fascist.

I'm not sure what happened to this site in the 1+ year(s) since I  registered here based on Taibbi's recommendation, but I do remember when I signed on, that the commentary was filled with terminology that I didn't understand. I did research and learned a hell of a lot.

Now it seems we have nothing but ideologues who are telling us the way things should be instead of the way things are and how great they are, bigots (like above) and a bunch of other nonsense that bears no resemblance to the quality or the depth of the commentary that first attracted me here.  TD, believe me, people look at these comments and go right on by and tell their friends.

Your numbers may be up, but then again , a loud minority of Americans now live for a diet of hatred, elitism, blood, and destruction and other disjointed nonsense.

The articles are still as good as they were if not better. So that's half or more of the battle. At the very least get a moderator that will delete and ban racists who somehow feel it necessary to blame all the ills of the country on brown people mostly through dog whistles.

Then we have the out right bigots  who never met anyone who wasn't a white Christian that they liked possibly because they never leave their double-wides.

It 's starting to sound like the KKK has found a new home here. That's a damn shame. At one point, this was a place to go to get a serious , in-depth education for those who wanted it. The comments were as important as the articles. Now it's mostly BS which seems to be a reflection of the rest of the country.

It's a bitch when a great site get's hijacked by these people. It is possible to clean it up, but an ounce of prevention is much cheaper than a pound of cure, unless of course you endorse this type of crap.

Dburn, it is time to grow a thicker skin.  People post crap on ZH all the time.  So what.  Watch Fight Club a few more times.  I am not speaking for ZH, so Tyler can correct me if I am incorrect - ZH is about THE GOOD FIGHT.  Part of any fight is shit talking and diversions.  Time to toughen up.

Dburn's picture

It's not a question of thicker skin. I've called out enough of these fuckers before. Personally, I think the fight club analogy has left the station. I imagine the people work their asses off keeping this site fresh with content , ultimately are not doing it for present and future pro bono work, with the exception of people who trade exposure for their writing. Good sites with good communities can fetch a handsome equity injection or buy-out.

If it was just the bigot and the shithead above, hell you can go to any site that has been disfigured by these assholes and see that shit. Besides, there is no use fighting with complete and total morons who repeat the same shit over and over again where ever they can get away with it.

Ultimately it's up to Zero Hedge if they want this type of stuff. Not too many people are clued into to the Fight Club , web version, because not that many saw the movie. But they can glance and see the elitists, the racists, and the bigots under almost every story and come to a quick conclusion that not only do the site owners condone it, it's what this site is all about.

As much as this site has been right about so many things way before the big names in financial media, it seems like a damn shame that people would come over and be turned off by it. I don't have any stake in it. But it's like watching a movie where a someone works their ass off to reach the pinnacle of achievement only to find out they were fucking goats on the side. A big "ahhh shit" sigh is let out. No one is going to want to get close to a goat fucker or send readers over here either.

For all the people that have done this country wrong and are being called out here, all they have to do is to grab a few of the combo racist/bigots posts like above and email them around to kill the credibility of the messenger. We already know, that is what they are best at.

If one wants to fight the status quo, you have to walk a thin line to make sure they don't have any ammo against you. Handing it to them free is not a good fight. It's suicide.

Then you have idiots like the one above who call posts like this "whines". That just reinforces the notion that the site condones racist/bigot bullshit from the worst dregs of society. Then the site is quickly written off as a viable property . This isn't Facebook. The fight right now, unless I'm mistaken, is the fight between the status quo and calling out people who have changed the status quo for the sake of greed and power. The difference is, the tiny site that could; is shooting itself in the foot right after a well aimed shot is fired.

Have you seen anyone in real life or a movie win a fight with self inflicted wounds?

That is not the way to fight. One doesn't have to fight fair to win. Although self-inflicted wounds right after the first shot is fired has never been a winning strategy except in Mel Brook's fantasy land.

I have had the honor of meeting Lisa and her story is an inspiration to many. She first learned of the foreclosure horror stories through the eyes of one of her cancer patients. Her mind is razor sharp, and her compassion and energy is infectious and knows no limit. At times she is afraid and intimidated by taking on the TBFT crowd but she doesn't stop.

Ever.

When she started her website The Foreclosure Hamlet there were a couple of dozen members. It's theme is and always was "Supporting, Informing & Connecting People in Foreclosure". Membership has steadily and exponentially grown to what it is now. It's growth is fueled by her will and determination and survives on small donations from members. Advertising is not permitted.

If you are facing foreclosure or know someone who is - The Hamlet is the place to go. You will be greeted warmly and treated as a human being. Nothing will be asked of you. It is a frightening experience and one need not go through it alone.

Lisa is a National Treasure and it's unlikely we've heard the last from her. Far from it. She is a dear friend.

Do NOT follow this link or you will be banned from the site!
