Radio Zeroth Amendment: "Bring It On..."
..but get your facts straight. It's going to take more than sloppy recursive citation to "out" Tyler Durden. Radio Zero(th Amendment) is easy to out, however. Just check back here earlier than usual for the URL. Let's call it 6:30 ET?

Marla I am SO there. Just make sure you bring courage wolf.
Marla,
Last time I said that, I took two hits to the face, my martini went flying and a kick in the head.
wrong person, sorry.
+5
Marla, is there a way to DL the session; i mean i would be more than happy to listen trough the whole thing; but see, the problem is that a) i need to sleep after 60hrs of being awake ( ask the Narrator what happens if you don't ) and b) its 0:30 am here when Radio ZH starts. so pretty please give da brotha some information about where or even if i could DL it.
Cheeky, just use winamp and download the streamripper plugin, should do fine till Marla posts the official rips...
CB, do you have a bed and/or a pillow? Or are you ascetic?
no dude; i sleep on the floor ( not a joke ) but I'm not ascetic; booze got to me couple of times and so did some other things; i have calmed down, but am not ascetic; although i terribly enjoy numerous hours of insomnia in which i do mathematics ( mostly pure ) and read.
You do any reading of attractors?
He is one.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attractor
i did some time ago when i was working on manifolds and Hilbert spaces and stuff like that. But that was years ago; and most of that evaporated but i remember using them when i was trying to construct a non-Newtonian space ( universe ). But attractors proved not to be very useful, because i needed something to describe longer time periods, for example a eon or motion in a non-euclidean space etc. but they are heck of a good thing if you want to construct a model for the stock market. you would probably need to use advance combinatorics to do so; but in my opinion it is doable. Now, i mostly work on ZFC, Frege, Godel and elementary set theory.
ZFC takes all the fun out of it. Follow Cantor, step into Dangerous Knowledge.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpWXT9yMBnw
People have this propensity to make things more complicated then they need to be.
For instance draw a circle within a circle and you've encapsulated infinity. Sublimely simple really.
Or Turing, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV67Sj2jkVg
ZFC is lets say, my love, from the old days, non-Euclidean gim. when i was actually doing serious research in mathematics; and set theory now that i only train my brain and publish once in a while. But my favourite is definitely set theory; the most beautiful mathematics ever; neither Pythagoras, nor Gauss, not even Bolanyi can measure up to Cantor and the beauty he found. If you are interested in the subject do some research on Terence Tao; mathematical Mozart he is.
It fills my heart with joy every time i find someone who sees beauty in mathematics--so strange that most people dont recognized it as an art form--pure beauty. Thanks you Cheeky Bastard you!
I've recorded every session. There will be some downloading fun before long.
I mentioned this last time, but you can use streamripper to "record" the session.
http://streamripper.sourceforge.net/
Oh goodie, and easy to calculate captcha.
There is really no need. I've recorded every session except for maybe one (I think I pulled a cord in the middle accidentally). They will be available in 224 VBR (or better) .mp3 format (LAME ripped, all the fixings) before long. Tonight included, also that 10 hour psychotic marathon I pulled one Saturday last month.
Marla, since ZH's identity is much in the news today, can you satisfy my simplest of pleasures and at least let us know if you are a broad or not??
Many thanks.
Btw, I can never download this fucking thing.
There are, most certainly, female members of the Zero Hedge contributor and staff cadres. We don't just answer the phone either.
Man if there was a flirty way to respond to that without coming off like a pig I would have done it.
Marla doesn't need a date, she needs a social worker.
not a problem mate, no time for the ol' in n' out aye, just here to read the charts...
You've never seen the movie?
You quoted one, I quoted another, to which are you referring?
We don't talk about it.
Nice volley guys. Especially kudos to D.O.D. for the avatar related milk bar references.
great reply
The letter you wrote to DK had me all hot and bothered legal style. I just don't want to be fantasizing about a dude.
Smart chicks can be the craziest of all.
LOL.
Let me put it this way: Only girls ever post as "Marla."
Know I know this is not the place for technical questions, and I hate reading them...but since I'm here ;)
Anyone have suggestion/experience streaming ZH radio on BB? I need music and a drive this evening. Merritt time.
To answer my own question, the only method I found to work is via moodio.fm
http://www.moodio.fm
I setup an entry there under the name "Radio Zero Hedge".
Once you ahve your account, you point your BB to m.moodio.fm. They convert any stream to whatever BB media player supports. Finnicky quality at the moment. Still testing.
is the DJ anonymous? if so, I don't think that I can trust the content of the music.
thanks in advance.
the DJ is Marla. she tends to get really sleepy on the Xanax. that said -- she'll generally play requests so make sure you ask her to play Journey and Ace of Bass.
LOL!
Well played deadhead. Bravo.
thank you.
I suspect the radio zero youngsters won't be playing Grateful Dead. Gosh, Marla, has your generation even heard of them, lol!!
the youngsters play bleeps and bloops that sounds like whale noises!
http://agentfunshiner.tiredonsaturday.net/thumbs/lrg-449-img_0911.jpg
Funny, I've never heard any live dead before but I'm about to throw on Veneta 72. Came across this article today and figured I might as well. http://www.glidemagazine.com/hiddentrack/dark-star-stories-veneta-72/
starting off with "dark star" might scare you off, lol!!
Ha. I'm no stranger to improv. Just never took the time or knew where to start w/ the dead. I got through most of it. Damn good show.
If your interested, start with the Dick's Pick series. The Dead are the best; they live on.
1st Jonathan E. now TomJoad? I love this place.
HAHAHAHAH + the amount of $ on FED balance shit
As pompous and self-promoting as some DJs can be (who was the one from miami that showed up on one of MTVs dating shows 5 years ago hawking his own cds?), it's nice to have one focused on content.
Can we squeeze a little early BT in, ESCM or MISL?
Its not that I'm a permabear, but doesn't it seem like it is impossible to engage people on the reality of the bubble-licious oligarchy-controlled economy while the stock market keeps moving up or sideways?
Its like these assclowns know they are beyond reproach and there can be no legitimate debate as long as the DJI and S&P are going up for no reason!
Bingo.
A little extra laughing foil while you wait. This sounds like most of our solutioning meetings/discussions at the office.

"get your facts straight" indeed...
BADLANDS
Lights out tonight, trouble in the heartland.
Got a head-on collision, smashin in my guts man.
Im caught in a crossfire that I dont understand.
But theres one thing I know for sure girl:
I dont give a damn for the same old played out scenes
I dont give a damn for just the in-betweens.
Honey I want the heart, I want the soul, I want control right now.
You better listen to me baby:
Talk about a dream; try to make it real.
You wake up in the night with a fear so real.
You spend your life waiting for a moment that just dont come.
Well dont waste your time waiting
Badlands you gotta live it every day
Let the broken hearts stand
As the price youve gotta pay
Well keep pushin till its understood
And these badlands start treating us good
Workin in the field till you get your back burned
Workin `neath the wheels till you get your facts learned.
Baby I got my facts learned real good right now.
You better get it straight darling:
Poor men wanna be rich, rich men wanna be kings,
And a king aint satisfied till he rules everything.
I wanna go out tonight, I wanna find out what I got.
Now I believe in the love that you gave me.
I believe in the faith that could save me.
I believe in the hope and I pray that some day it
Will raise me above these
Badlands...
For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside
That it aint no sin to be glad youre alive.
I wanna find one face that aint looking through me
I wanna find one place, I wanna spit in the face of these
Badlands
OH ALSO
Anyone in DC who wants to go to an underground electronic party later tonight , hit me up. Just got the info.
project.mayhem.research [ at ] gmail
The withdrawal... it's over!
Hmm, so when does the Sneakers soundtrack come off repeat?
Ah yes, Thank you Marla...my night is set!
Thanks Marla
why is this coming up as thursday night live on my itunes ?
Here we go...
I broke down and registered an account. Tired of being asked to calculate the square root of -97.
i*sqrt{97}
i takes care of the imaginary number, but 97 is prime.
is that even solvable in captcha; i ask because i dont know if captcha allows R-numbers to be written as an answer. if this does the solution is simple just write (9.8488578)i=i sqrt 97
God love "i". Awefully useful in fluid dynamic calculations. Fractals don't you know.
i would not say that God loves "i", but that he prefferes phi.
That's seriously obtuse. I'm going to assume the golden (you fill in here).
I'm going to have to choose "showers" for 100pts Bob...
You're bad.
So there is no "i" in "team," but there is an "i" in golden showers? This explains everything.
Which is an irrational number, so all you have to do is imagine irrationally and the answer should come to you, it's how the market keeps going up, so it's not impossible...
Use the same concepts of imaginary numbers that the perma-bulls use in their forecasts and you'll be fine.
And be content that Marla hasn't extended CAPTCHA to use mixed numeral bases.
I suspect the captcha has already been broken which is why they added moderation, which is the real reason I registered an account.
But the name "slow, non-instant moderation" wasn't as catchy.
Computers are pretty good at calculations (square roots of prime numbers nonwithstanding) so really a spambot only need convert the english into numbers and solve. Image recognition captchas really are harder to break. I think the english ones only functioned through obscurity.
I was at a meeting today where it was said that captchas are being broken for a penny a piece in 3rd world countries....
BTW registering does not remove the 0Hcapcha
Hmm!
Marla why only math, try Q and A concept; like; Who thought that the 20th century would be deleuzian or what is the 3rd antinomy in Kants critique of pure reason ,or what is modular in Taniyama-Shimura theorem and whats it got to do with Pythagorean theorem, you catch my drift. you would get rid of morons and troll-bots
Man I'm no moron, but I have no idea what the answers to those questions are, although, a quick trip to wiki, and a side step to dictionary dot com to look up antinomy. (yes, I know the wiki is full of lies, but it is still useful, and I just learned a bunch of things I'll never be able to bring up in a typical conversation in America, at least not without pissing off at least one retard who will feel obliged to prove might makes right.)
1)Michel Foucault (Capitalism and Schizophrenia: Anti-Oedipus, looks like a good read )
2)Freedom is in the individual; The individual is governed by the laws of nature.
3)This is a tough one, but i'll have to say functions are modular, and it relates to pythagoras' formula in that they are both functions that describe a form, although modular theorm is most certainly a non-euclidian form.
How many points do I get? Do I win a date with Marla!??
You'll be able to bring up Foucault with members of Project Mayhem / Washington DC. Just make sure you mention "History of sexuality" or the "Panopticon". Our own local 'DARPA' seems to have a fixation with panopticon for some reason.
Anyway yes, let's all disregard the systemic 'incitement to discourse', as it is a false mechanism of social control.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_History_of_Sexuality
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panopticon
drrrrrrrrr?
cheeky, with all due respect, i couldn't agree more.
oh, and marla, yes, the real marla, what you got goin' on tonight is so boss. it just keeps sounding better. and better.
i think i'm going to share you with my neighbors while i step out for a drink.
ahhh. come on marla.

where are yah.
but roof top lightnight in
D A Y T O N O H I O.
man, all that place had for me was the wright brothers home up the block from where i grew up. nice mansion, bro's. oh yeah, the wright brothers bicycle shop.
H O M E of A V I A T I O N†
awww I came to late to the party it's packed, all dressed up and no where to go...well I guess it's Tai-Chi tonight then...
Nice, someone made room, so kind, sitll got some o' that old knifey moloko at the milk bar?
marla left for dan i van dij ski (note: the j sounds like k).
Marla:
Please. Play some real music.
This stuff is totally insipid.
6 months or 60 years from now, no one will know who did this.
Perhaps I'm showing my age, but what's wrong with " 9" Nails, Radiohead, Phil Collins, Rage Against the Machine", Eric Burdon & the Animals, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, J.J. Cale, Dire Straits, Leynard Skinner, Paul McCarthy, Beatles, Pink Floyd, etc?
Please?
Dave
How about some stones?
Yes Please.
And Thank you.
My head is almost ready to explode.
Dave
Stones up. Next song.
i hope to god you mean QOTSA
Marla:
Thank you.
Mind you, this is Mick & Company, one step before you see him prancing around (relatively speaking) with his walker.
But it is a step forward.
Dave.
P.s. Try going back a few decades. There are more than a few songs that are acceptable to today's generation.
I like radiohead. But I also like this. I am a musician and producer and I think Marla's set is fantastic.
Don't be a fail whale. You can hear that crap on Pandora.
LOL a fail whale.. I gotta remember that one...
I'm an ex-studio musician, now a computer programmer, and I love her set. Every time, every track, and not in any kind of sycophantic way either. I just think it really is good shit. (Though I can't claim to be a producer like yourself -- my opinion of my opinion is slightly more humble ;)
Or Mark Knopfler, "Postcars from Paraguay", zeitgeist,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Pzf7EvXpCk
If I hear any songs from those you mentioned I'm going to puke and god forbid if I hear Free Bird I'll take my 9mm and probably do something I'll regret.
If you don't like Marla's spinning turn your radio dial to your local classic rock station and I'm bet you any anything you want to wager that you'll hear those worn out bands with the exception of 9" Nails and Rage which are the only groups you mentioned that I still have a tolerance for.
Marla your spinning is top shelf!
Yes! Now do the NYPost can s...... lol
Killer set so far...
now now, you start talkin like that and I'm gonna have to head into the night and get me some o that ol' in n out...
Anonymous Dave: Perhaps this just isn't the stream for you.
Maybe you're right.
But a half dozen Crown Royals put me here, Tonight.
Most days, this is precisly where I choose to be.
Enjoy your evening.
I,m going back to my pre-downloaded "Little Feat", Feets, Don't Fail me Now album
Have a good weekend.
Dave.
Also I'm pretty sure this is Robert Miles
pew pew
time to do laundry , and head to an underground party -- in this luciferian trashcan known as Washington DC

Send me whatever you like. :) aim: radiozh
Marla, thanks. Reminds me of a grove I heard at Area 51 back in '01.
cannot accept any more connections :(
workin' fine now :)
Yes, thank you Marla for another fine set.
I heard 12 eastern... anyone else? I'm keeping the stream on.
I heard 12 eastern... anyone else? I'm keeping the stream on.
I'll spin an old set for a pair of hours, then be back live at midnight(ish) EST. This time, with the hard stuff.
Allright then, I spent all that time looking up Cheeky's answers just to impress you Marla, and not even a comment... I'm goin' to the bar and gettin' wasted, and talkin' about stocks, that always gets peoples panties in a knot, but it doesn't fall under religion or politics, so it's fair game....We'll see if that MMA training is paying off....
=]
Aikido is a bit more centered- but useless at the bar.
Your tunes are centered perfectly.
Brazillian Jujitsu, Muay Tai (8 point strikes), and Kali(Eskrima)...Tai Chi for balance and meditation, though Akido is one I would like to add to the list for sure.. thanks for the response love....

WINAP not working...I get "[playlist] NumberOfEntries=1 ile1=http://cdo.zerohedge.com:8000/"
wut up?
marla...aim, aol instant messenger?
go marla! go, go, go!
just joining the party. fashionably cynical and late.
just one thought to share as marla spins -
while muting the distracting soundbite interludes on TV, if one takes a step back and actually removes the firing squad blindfold, is there anything just a tad surreal about cracking jokes of multibillion bank failures this week, last week, next week...as nothing ever really changes and the system is back to where it always was?
just what will it take?
*pouring you a drink*
Huuu-RAH!!!
"just what will it take?"
that's rhetorical right?
it would be if it wasn't too late. so maybe it isn't
IMO, deep down the general public intuitively knows the whole thing is a scam, but has been conditioned that "that's just the way it has always been", as if this was some kind of argument for letting corruption continue. I always point out that once upon a time slaves was "just the way it has always been", women as homemakers was once "just the way it has always been", etc... The only other option is something entirely different, and we are faced with the possibility that the shock of the cure will be greater than ill of the sickness. My step-father went through this with cancer, he felt death was a more palatable alternative than losing the use of Mr. Happy. There wasn't much of an argument anyone could give to him to make another choice, he had to decide for himself that self preservation was more important, and that's what it will take in this instance, the realization that to stay the course we are currently on is certain doom, in some way shape or form, but for now, all they can think is that they won't get to use Mr. Happy anymore...
It's funny, and typical of me to say this here, but it fits..
"You have heard it said that this is an age of moral crisis. You have said it yourself, half infear, half in hope that the words had no meaning."
My appologies aldousd, I don't follow....
well it's a john galt quote, which of course, I get a lot of flack for citing when I do; however, what it means in this context is that people look at the destruction or corruption in disbelief, like it's a soap opera, or a dark comedy spot. They think 'oh, those crazy politicians, saying shit that isn't true again, they'll be the death of us for sure' and lump it into some category parallel to reality, but not IN reality, like a cartoon show. It's like the defensive baring of one's teeth when laughing nervously while you hope that guy across the dark alley walking toward you isn't actually half as mean as he looks. You hope you're wrong about the thing that makes you scared, just like you're always wrong about that sneaking feeling that you're about to win the lottery... (I know it's vague, but I can't really think of a concrete way to describe it.)
Karl D. was musing that earlier this week of which I expect you caught. Considering most have come to the elementary conclusion this evening that the Treasury backstop is in-effect, it's not going to be a "planned" bank outage - it will have to be an large exogenous variable, unexpected of course.
yeah that's the question. I watched and wondered the same thing 2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007.2008 and now 2009, what? Perhaps we shall see...
Hey TD, that old fogy John Jansen is getting on your case... Nevermind that he didn't get one fact straight in his traditional sermonic rant. It's amazing anyone still listens to that Fed alum and self appointed bond expert extraordinaire.

No one laughs at God in a hospital/
No one laughs at God in a war/
No one's laughing at God when they're starving or freezing
or so very poor.
-----------------
That's what it takes.
I laugh at god everywhere I go. But if I'm around a bunch of religious folks, I wait till I think they aren't looking. Unless I don't like them.
LOL
The song means more "fear of God" to me than a call to put your Sunday-go-to-meetin' clothes on.
You laugh at God or the concept of one? Just curious?
the concept of one. it would be absurd for me to believe in god and laugh at him.
but the absurd is so much more fun ;P
I believe in God because the elites believe in Lucifer.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucifer_Trust
A spectacular explosion. Seriously more people get it than you might not think, but its too late anyway, is it not?
We'll see in about 80 days probably ;)
Many thanks for spinnin' the tunes. I'm a busy chic over here.
read this for a while (since b4 ur eastern euopean vaca). t.d. comments to facilitate discussion in general. do u take the dare to print (no pun) how to fix the crisis?
some want the fed to start raising rates.
i think ur site is the best of any news blogs.
p.s. can we the people get a full view from you on these banks being sold, ones buying them, or should i wait for the b.s. 10q?
I wish surreal was my adjective. Instead it is flat out betrayal. Maybe if my short dec sp900 straddles weren't climbing northward toward my throat it would just be surreal.
Should have remembered '99. Same bullshit
It won't come from this country. Our Fed would backstop a hot dog stand if they thought it would avoid the inflection point. It will come from some random corner of the world that can't be seen by the unblinking eye of the moneyprinters.
You know we all value your sleepless regard and constant efforts to help justice prevail...Thank you Tyler.
Great music Marla! It will be nice to d/l the sets someday as I have no idea where to find music like this.
Serious?
Honestly, I never went looking for it and it is not something I could find in my circle. I guess found a mentor in Marla. However, I did grow up Detroit with my 82'(?) Walkman and the Midnight Funk Association. Five hours a night of damn near commercial free bliss.
http://www.midnightfunkassociation.com/
MFA is a classic, no doubt.
There are literally thousands of places to get a fix of this cure, although I have to say Marla does an awesome job with her blend.
One of my standbys is a public radio station that serves as a high school vo-tech program. Some of their work is seriously redundant. However, they do some awesome 4 hour shows without interruption and every hour is 58 minutes guaranteed..... + they do the morning news as only HS kids can WhoT! I do hope that this leads you in a new quest!

It's true! When the student is ready the teacher will appear. You to me and Zero Hedge to the world. Enjoy your friday night all!
what prog you using to mix?
Best things in life'z free. Or nearly so.
You know Bernanke's dancing in his panties in the Fed Basement kissin' Marla's pic right now.
"I saved the free world, I stopped the contagion, I am the Emerald Cities super savior"
And picks out a wedgie.
