Anyone see the news where Schwarzenegger is forcing state employees to have their wages cut to minimum wage? There are going to be riots in California. Why work for minimum wage when you can just go home and collect unemployment for 99wks for the same money? Duh.

Well, in CA, that latter option is STILL much cheaper than having the worker be "working" at his/her gov't job.. At least if the "poor" worker is on unemployment, the state will be off the hook from contributing to his/her overbloated and expensive taxpayer-funded pension fund.

Kind of like Govt. CPI numbers, everyone knows... doesn't everyone... that the jobs numbers are the most cooked, goosed and marked to model than even the CPI.
In that case, why wait breathlessly for it?
I think street-checks will tell the better story anyday.
