Rick Santelli tells the truth about GLD and SLV on CNBC [Video]

Cheeky Bastard's picture

Something that is known to ZH readership since day one, is now finally said openly on the most watched [probably] business channel in the world.

And just for the sake of it, lets thrown in Peter Schiff and his take on the real price of gold.

Things look grim for the FIAT, even more so with all the recent articles assessing gold as, not a substitute for current form of currency, but THE preferred form of currency. Gold is finally getting the attention it should have been given to long, long time ago.

Seen a quote on here from Napolean that struck me "history is a set of lies agreed upon."

It has relevance regarding this flag and what it stood for and still does to those who know...the Europeans understand this more than Americans...which says alot about our education system in the states.

More?

The emblems are heavy, for sure.  Does even the tailor know the origin?  Cross and 13 stars....dogs and men have shared many moons on this earth.

"More?"

On the flag?...the story go's that St.Andrews, (the patron saint of Scotland) knowing he was to be crucified by the Romans was permitted by them to design the cross for his own execution, he Andrew, designed this one as he did not believe himself worthy of the same type of cross Jesus was crucified on. To keep some of his remains from falling into the wrong hands some were taken from Constantinople to Scotland, which at the time was the end of the earth, which is how his name became associated with Scotland.

Yes, emblems & symbols are heavy...for if the "entire" story were revealed more generally among any nations population it might change a peoples perspective...and we can't have that now can we.

More generally, if one has an interest, research can be done on the Wolf family of Boston and how their fortune was made, the mercantile and banker class of the NE and their association with the politicians of the time regarding tarrif's (not much has really changed it seems), the text of the Lincoln-Douglas debates is there to be read etc.

Has the whole truth been taught?...hardly...for if it were the victors might have some splainin to do...for instance...the skin color of some of Gen. Forrests own personal body guard...his fully armed & equipped escort detachment...men like Polk Arnold, Jones Greer, Cal Sharp.

No, simple lies in answer to complex questions are much easier to digest for the unenlightened and to keep the populace's hands on each others throats instead of perhaps where they should be...that is, on certain descendant dogs living in the lap of luxury today under that same moon...LOL.

and the previous cycle most like the current one, the period 1929 to 1942, was a catastrophic bear market for real estate:  at least as bad as for stocks, by some estimates a 95% decline over thirteen years.  current real estate prices do not look at all like the bottom.

This was somewhat complicated by the dust bowl, which made land more of a liability than an asset. Farmers were decimated by the lack of credit, deflation, and then finally no rain and clouds of dust.

Land also introduces political risk. Local barons can expropriate it. If you fall behind on your taxes, the IRS can place liens on it.

If TSHTF, will your deeds be recognized? I prefer to stay lean, mobile, and prepared.
