Libya looks more like Aceh than anything else but with a more reactionary and ruthless state apparatus.  Resource rich province led rebellion.   There is political convergence on Libya, Press TV in Iran is as stridently anti Gaddafi as the US.   The disturbing feature is that there is neither visuals of public mass movements nor confirmed guerrila campaign successes.  A revolution needs fighters rather than absenters or separatists without hope of prevailing in a fight.   If the US hopes to prize Libya away from the Europeans so far it looks like a farce.
