Search The Online Sarah Palin Email Archive

Tyler Durden's picture

Frankly, we couldn't care less about the content of Sarah Palin's emails. But some do. And since Alaska office has made it prohibitively difficult for most to access this collection in non-electronic format, requiring up to $750 in physical content fees, below we provide a link to the only resource that currently provides the most comprehensive selection of the just disclosed Palin email archive. The redacted emails can be found here.

Click on the image for the interactive link; the NYT is also creating an interactive option, but due to their paid firewall we recommend readers avoid it.

I am sorry but the 'Left Right Paradigm' is an illusion. One must understand this in order to move forward ideologically. I do not say this as a republican or democrat, but as a 'political atheist'. It seems that both parties are two heads of the same snake and all we see is the dog and pony show.

I suggest reading the whole of 'George Washington's Farewell Address' if one has not done so, it is fairly short but speaks volumes about what is happening today.

Remember George Washington's Farewell Address (Section on the Danger of Political Parties):

"

The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.

Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.

It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.

There is an opinion that parties in free countries are useful checks upon the administration of the government and serve to keep alive the spirit of liberty. This within certain limits is probably true; and in governments of a monarchical cast, patriotism may look with indulgence, if not with favor, upon the spirit of party. But in those of the popular character, in governments purely elective, it is a spirit not to be encouraged. From their natural tendency, it is certain there will always be enough of that spirit for every salutary purpose. And there being constant danger of excess, the effort ought to be by force of public opinion, to mitigate and assuage it. A fire not to be quenched, it demands a uniform vigilance to prevent its bursting into a flame, lest, instead of warming, it should consume.

It is important, likewise, that the habits of thinking in a free country should inspire caution in those entrusted with its administration, to confine themselves within their respective constitutional spheres, avoiding in the exercise of the powers of one department to encroach upon another. The spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one, and thus to create, whatever the form of government, a real despotism. A just estimate of that love of power, and proneness to abuse it, which predominates in the human heart, is sufficient to satisfy us of the truth of this position. The necessity of reciprocal checks in the exercise of political power, by dividing and distributing it into different depositaries, and constituting each the guardian of the public weal against invasions by the others, has been evinced by experiments ancient and modern; some of them in our country and under our own eyes. To preserve them must be as necessary as to institute them. If, in the opinion of the people, the distribution or modification of the constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation; for though this, in one instance, may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed. The precedent must always greatly overbalance in permanent evil any partial or transient benefit, which the use can at any time yield.

"

I am sorry but the 'Left Right Paradigm' is an illusion.

It is the Progressive Party that has taken both Elephant and Donkey. Obama, Clinton, Pelosi and McCain are Progressives. How do I know, they admitted it. Look it up.

It is corporate welfare 'that has taken both Elephant and Donkey.' There is no democracy nor capitalism but the will of the special interests groups (corporations ala lobbyists). I would not be so naive as to trust Miss Palin as the solution to the troubles. All one has in this world is their word and I know of only one person to stand the test of time (and who has warned us about the many issues). Ron Paul has not wavered on any issue and is the foremost candidate with knowledge and the will to follow through.

Integrity and intelligence is something I look for. You may disagree with some of his points and views, but all I want to point out is his steadfast beliefs of which he has not sold out. (...for about 40+ years)

I am sorry but if Palin is somehow elected, it will be business as usual, they may bicker about abortion, trivial spending cuts...etc... but the same policies will stay in place. Big contracts to defense companies, bail-outs for the banks, conquest wars without end, etc.... (I could go on.)

Obama is the same. (No prosecution of bankers, not ending the wars, not closing Guantanamo, not ending rendition, expanding the military industrial complex.... etc.... )

If you have the time, do take a look at George Washington's Farewell Address, it is highly insightful. Here again: http://avalon.law.yale.edu/18th_century/washing.asp

David Stockman talks about this phenomena in this speech: http://youtu.be/CAkdB-2qFHY

(I just forget at what point he touches upon the subject, but it is a great one if you have the time.)

Watched a piece on MSNBC this morning on the Palin emails.  It was favorable, implied that a thorough review of the emails shows that she was very involved in the day-to-day affairs of the State of Alaska while she was gov.  Why would MSNBC do a puff piece on Palin?  Why are these emails being released now, after yet another Palin incident involving her apparent lack of intellect?

There's only one reason.

Crony Capitalism is a term describing an allegedly capitalist economy in which success in business depends on close relationships between business people and government officials. It may be exhibited by favoritism in the distribution of legal permits, government grants, special tax breaks, and so forth.

Or

"Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power." - Benito Mussolini

You decide. (At this point, it is just preference on which ever term you prefer.)

Thanks TD.  Progressive a-hole idealists are so scared of this woman they have thrown everything including the kitchen sink at herself and family...and she just keeps steady marching.  Anyone doing the slinging here or elsewhere has not bothered to know who this lady is.  She's definitely not a regular politico and she's not owned (yet)...but at this juncture, the woman certainly exposes the ignorance and truer identities of the herd trolls.  They hide here well enough though, but like like flies to honey, the trolls CANNOT resist this woman no matter what!  But even these pissants can realize the world is desperatley short of leaders with guts and conviction.  The collectivists are very afraid of this woman and intent on destroying anyone like her.

Seriously? Palin's a leader? A woman who couldn't even finish one term as Governor of Alaska?

I am about as anti-establishment, pro-liberty as one can get. I suppose Palin has had a couple decent ideas WRT small gov.  But that doesn't change the fact that she is one, a war monger who wholeheartedly believes in the BS War on Terror and two, is not all that intelligent.

I disagree with you, but I appreciate your level-headed (if wrong, heh) tone.

In this comment I am shilling for Palin, not as President, but as the target of unjustified attacks, so for those who can't bear to read that sort of thing, move on.

Briefly, this e-mail fiasco is (I think) just another example of the sort of bizarre phenomenon surrounding Palin.  I do think the media is terrified of her, because squeaky annoying voice, dreadful accent, questionable policies etc aside, Americans hate Obama and like Palin.

It's difficult to develop a sound case against a pistol-packing soccer mom type, and it is just as difficult to support an America-hating communist tool of the Frankfurt school of thought with anything other than emtpy-vessel sloganeering.

The media accomplished this, and will defend their unsteady construction to the death.
Palin was beset with a raft of bogus ethics charges that had already guaranteed to swamp the rest of her term in office.  Notice that as soon as she left, the charges dried up.  An unprecedented combination of lawfare and media selection cost Alaska one of the most popular governors in the nation's history.  By the way, Alaska state law prohibited her from speaking about this while the subject of ethics charges.  See?  Perfect weapon.  Her record  of integrity remains admirable.

There are several politicians who should be required to divulge communications before Palin, if any.  Where, for example, are the current President's transcripts and theses?  I am sure that there are various legalist reasons, and that is not what I mean.  I mean how is it that former governor, not running for office, strange lady with a bus tour is once again being roasted by the media, while countless elected officials are able to hide behind exemptions for the governing?  Why no media interest beyond a few conservative columns?

In general, I believe that Americans hate Obama while they like Palin.  His continuing popularity, I believe, is more a product of image massage by all involved than actual widespread approval or even ambivalence.  Americans may not want her to be President, but the disparity between these two figures is a threat to the media's death-grip on perception.  Stand by.

I guess you're right, she's such a peach! She couldn't be any worse than Ronald Reagan, right? More dangerous, mb. Stupider, perhaps; but oh, the integrity. So I have to admit, she might be the first to actually believe that she's doing the right thing while she destroys America and makes damn sure she takes the rest of the world down with it; a kind of useful idiot, a powerful dupe. Yay.

BTW, who is this "... America-hating communist tool of the Frankfurt school of thought..." to which you refer? It certainly does sound like it would be difficult to like him/her.

Who cares? Why not ask a question that in the long run matters much more to Scandinavian wage earners: what's their standard of living compared to the rest of the world?

Care to hazard a guess at who made the following statement,

"I don't believe in this working class movement. I am sure that, generally speaking, working people are very satisfied with their lot, that they don't complain at all and that they are not in the least interested in what is called socialism. There are obviously ringleaders who try to make a lot of noise and attract a following but such people have neither hold nor influence over honest reasonable, hard-working labourers. One has to distinguish between good and bad workers. Those who demand the eight hour day are the lazy, incapable ones. The others, the steady serious fathers of families, want to be able to work long enough to provide for themselves and their family. But if they were all compelled to work only eight hours a day do you know what the majority of them would do? Well, they would drink!... What else would you expect them to do?"

Really, 'go on' away; in light of my response the numbers you managed to squeeze out are of no consequence, even outright irrelevant, and anyone who can see past their own screen door knows it. So by all means continue if you wish underline further your pig-headed ignorance.

Stop trying to blindly project your failings onto success stories.

Pretty fucking simple point you're so derperate to derp around, all in all. I wonder why? Hanging on by your fingernails to outdated idealistic dogma despite a litany of hard evidence refuting it, would be my guess.

Speaking of 'being evasive': So, do you ID with the quote? Own up. C'mon, aren't you the slightest bit interested in discovering who would say something that, I would think, you find so agreeable?

Lets take for example Pelosi, why not the same or greater hatred for her? I would be much more interested in reading the Pelosi's, Reid's, Bernank's, Timmy's, Ohbummer's, etc., emails, and not for entertainment, but to glean information on what is really going on in the world.

I do not support the disclosure of anyone's emails that are personal, I feel differently about email used in an official capacity.

If these emails are personal in nature then this post by ZH is in very poor taste. However, if they are emails in Palin's official capacity then that is a different matter entirely. Would seem to me that it would be reasonable to have the same access to the aforementioned individual's if Palin's can be disclosed.

How about seeing Weiner's emails, that were sent from his Congressional email account, that is much more pertinent and relevant, might even reveal some ethical issues given his recent blunders.

The masses need a break from the laser focus of 'journalists' on the wholly pertinent to their lives revelations contained in the Casey Anthony Weiner drama that's being beaten like a dead horse into their lives and thus around the idiots' watercooler.   This is a step up in focus for them, although still wholly impertinent.  Everyone knows she's a dipshit already and unqualified to do anything except be paid to spout nonsense, for which she is very good at.  Rome is Burning is not just an ESPN show.

Sure they may find something about troopergate or something else, but while the heavens fall, I think focus should be placed elsewhere.

Yes liberals seem to have a livid hatred for Palin. Is she really that threatening to them? or perhaps they feel she is an easy target? Maybe they just hate what she stands for? Who the fuck really cares anyways.

Either way, its lame and its weak. Get over Palin already, at least from an executive experience standpoint, she was much more qualified than Obama to be President/Vice-President, something the libbies forget when they are trashing Palin.

Obama and Palin both suck, neither are qualified for office in my opinion, both represent the establishment.

She is a relious nut, which scares me to death.  The minister whose prayer she credits with her election as Governor of the State of Alaska apparently participated in actual witch hunts in Kenya, where people are still murdered for that particular crime.  I prefer my politicians to hold God in so much respect that they don't practice such casual familiarity.

And Ohbummer's pastor was more upright or had a better message? Rhetorical question. I can understand someone needing spiritual guidance, however their message should be moral, uplifting,  and enlightening. More importantly you do not need a pastor/minister to teach you how to think or tell you what you should think. Think for yourself.

Sorry, I've always suspected that those who are happy enough to have found the one and only truth expect that everyone should embrace it.  Historically, if those true believers have sufficient numbers, they will require that everyone embrace such truth.  They will require it strenuously.  Don't get me wrong, I believe that people should be free to practice whatever belief they happen to hold as long they don't bother anyone else with it. Truly, I can't see that prayers of protection against witchcraft will do any more harm than my old Granny's 19th Century Catholic superstitions (that included a guaranteed entrance into heaven if you made a Novena and nobody who was not Baptised a Catholic would be admitted to heaven so nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah); however, in the case of the religious right, I suspect that if I want to dance naked under the moon during the summer solstice in honor of the Great Mother or make an offering of milk to a statue of Ganesh, they would deny me that if they could, just as my old Granny's church would have when they had such power.

This whole "I hate Palin" thing is a product of the MSM.  Now, setting aside your belief about whether or not she could be an effective President, or whether anyone can be an effective President under the currently screwed up system, to get on board the hate train is to be a Johny come lately, bandwagon hopper.  It would be your admission that you need others to think for you.  And the others to which I refer are the worst lightweights of all.

The way I see it, she could do no worse than the current inhabitant of the White House.

After all its easy to be a sheep, its a mindless existence, all you have to do is eat, sleep, and waddle around, people are good at that to. And a sheep is sheared for its one asset, wool, which it does not seem to mind parting with as long as it has food, shelter, and can waddle around now and then. Perhaps the shearing will eventually stop.

Emotional experience in sheep: Predictability of a sudden event lowers subsequent emotional responses
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0031938407001916

Abstract

The study of emotions in animals can be approached thanks to a framework derived from appraisal theories developed in cognitive psychology, according to which emotions are triggered when the individual evaluates challenging events. This evaluation is based on a limited number of criteria such as the familiarity and the predictability of an event. If animals are able to experience emotions rather than simply displaying reflex responses to their environment, then their appraisal of events should, as in humans, modulate their emotional responses. We tested this hypothesis by comparing vocalisations, feeding behaviour, and the startle and cardiac responses of lambs submitted to a sudden event that could or could not be predicted. Lambs able to predict the sudden event thanks to a light cue (associative predictability) showed weaker suddenness-induced startle and cardiac responses and spent more time feeding than their counterparts, thus supporting the existence of an emotional experience in these animals. Furthermore, lambs submitted to the regular appearance of the sudden event (temporal regularity) vocalised less and left less unconsumed food deliveries than lambs submitted to random appearances of the sudden event (controls). These results underline that the cognitive abilities of animals should be taken into account when assessing their emotional experiences and more generally their mood states, which are underlying factors of animal welfare.

Keywords: Predictability; Suddenness; Startle; Cardiac activity; Appraisal theories; Emotions; Animal welfare; Sheep

The media and the socialist democrats of America want to destroy her because she is a strong female role model that is self-made, happily married, up from the middle class, and she has done it all without subscribing to the Feminazi script.

The socialists can't allow such a creature to exist. It must be torched by the village mob. They are desperate for dykes like Big Sis and Hillary to female role model, not a conservative like Sarah Palin. The horror.

If these socialist news rags are really so interested in Palin why did they entirely blackout the story when her church was firebombed on Dec. 14, 2008, targeting the exits, while people were still inside?

You realize that while the MSM goes over the Palin emails with a fine tooth comb, the Bilderberg meeting is happening at the same time.

Strange that you don't hear a word about that. Strange, indeed.

Also strange that while Palin chooses to move freely amongst the people, the attendees at the Bilderberger Conference have hired armed guards, demanded total secrecy, and put up a wall to avoid being seen.

Once again, I ask: Who is a bigger threat to your liberties, Sarah Palin or the Bilderberger attendees? And once again, I ask: who is the MSM keeping you focused on?

You've made some great points in this thread, Eddie. Yet you keep getting 'junked' and receiving partisan replies ... from useful idiots and trolls who probably have no idea what Bilderberg even represents!

What nobody here seems to understand is that the less-than-a-handful of owners of the MSM -- under tactical planning agreed at Bilderberg -- know who to cover in a favourable or neutral light (McCain last time; Perry this time) and who to disparage or dig up dirt on (Palin, Paul, Romney, Edwards, etc). The simple objective is to set up a final runoff on Nov 4 where only two choices of overseer are presented to the slaves ... and both are fully under the control of the plantation owner and committed to carrying out his wishes after the votes have been counted / rigged / adjusted and the slaves have applauded 'their' wise choice. It's called "controlled opposition".

Anybody who participates in these rigged election farces should be euthanised as a collaborator!

She is exactly what she appears: an honorable, determined woman who loves the country and the principles upon which it was founded. Go see that movie when it comes out, The Undefeated. Even leftie publications are giving it good reviews. What has taken all of them back is what Palin preaches 'the planks' of her beliefs on how government should function has not changed in 20 years. She's the real deal, people. If she runs and wins, our nation will be very lucky to have her. She will work to clean things up.

It appears to me that the vast majority of people vote based upon their "personal" like or dislike of the candidate.  You like how they walk or talk.  That little smile they have . . . the way their lip tilts before they swivel and give that stage point to their friend in the audience.  The way they handle being asked . . . here it comes . . . a question in public.

It's a cheap beauty contest, everybody over time falling into a harmony of perceptions about the special human qualities they've projected upon a media-defined screen.

It's nothing but dumb love.

When you see the absurd shit they come to defend a given politician for and the intense investment they have in doing so, it's hard to have any real hope in democracy under any conditions.

Ron Paul is also one of Them.  If he had run as an independent we would now have a 3rd party with matching funds.  But he chose instead to run as a Republican knowing he could not win.  The Libertarians were infiltrated by a mole with a neonazi sidekick: it's a dead party now, same as the 2 legacy parties.  The Constitution party was likewise infiltrated by a mole.  The leftwing parties were too weak to bother infiltrating.  Ron Paul helped to make it happen.  He is no more anti-establishment is Dennis Kucinich.  Their parties keep them to give the illusion that the legacy parties retain some vestige of actual conservatism or liberalism, when neither does.
