You're right, of course. It's really about finding an identifiable group of "them" (religious, political, racial, etc) to blame all our troubles on. Anything to avoid recognizing that vein of collective insanity that seems to permeate the human race.

There are bad people in the world, HJ. Jews, Christians, Muslims, et. al. And then there are the people who hate simply because of color or sexual orientation. You could call them "bad" too. I consider "Liars, cheaters, and dog shit eaters" as a term of endearment for "bad," "hateful" people. This is all a very simple explanation for you because it's early and I'm still waking up over here.

And words like "bad" don't even apply. To the contrary, I am amused. That's not to say that there are some people in this world who don't deserve to be hated, but on ZH, it would be hard identify the truly repugnant. largely because most of the more egregious posts are hidden behind anonymity, and tend to be exaggerated.
