In online debates he makes his mark as a well-read, and one with strong opinions about Norwegian politics. He promotes a very conservative opinions, which he also called nationalist. He expresses himself strongly opposed to multiculturalism - that cultural differences can live together in a community.
He has had many posts on the site Document.no, an Islam-critical site that publishes news and commentary.
In one of the posts he states that politics today no longer revolves around socialism against capitalism, but that the fight is between nationalism and internationalism. He expressed clear support for the nationalist mindset.
He also commented on the Swedish news articles, where he makes it clear that he believes the media have failed by not being "NOK" Islam-critical.

Could be Breivik was simply crazy and there's nothing more to it than that. I think however that as western countries all around the world implode you will see more and more of this type of domestic terrorism. By that logic this should have occured in one of the PIIGS country as opposed to Norway which is relatively prosperous by comparison. But nobody can predict how the world will unravel. As people see their society disintegrate (and maybe for Breivik it was a cultural disintegration that he focused on) people will come under increasing stress and in some cases lose it. It may be too early to demand an apology from the telegraph or anyone else, since you may be working off information that does not tell the whole truth. I am pretty convinced that one man, acting as an innocent policeman, is going to have a hard time rounding up people to inform them of the explosion in Oslo, and then kill 80+ of them, without being armed to the teeth and loaded with ammo like a pack mule. I have some experience shooting people, and I know even with adequate firearms and ammo, it is almost impossible to kill this many people unless you have them trapped in a reasonably compact location. It appears these people scattered - since bodies are being found over a wide area - even in the water.
If this guy was acting as a Norwegian policeman, he would not likely be loaded down with full-automatic weapons. Even if he was, In Vietnam, my Division only had a 10% fire to kill ratio (estimate), and only slightly more when when shooting a retreating troops. I usually carried an M-16 with 20 clips, and I was a very good shot.
I do not think this guy worked alone as shooter. Which means, the question is still open who is behind it. He may be a patsy. I do not know who is behind it, but to assume a single home-grown terrorists set off possibly two bombs in Oslo, then killed over 80 by himself on this island 45 minutes away, worked alone, is to make a very large assumption indeed.

I don't get it either. An island with 700 people on it and he shot at them for an hour? One story said he was pulling ammo out of a bag and reloading. Nobody tried to tackle him? They said he walked around to all of the victims nearby and shot them again in the head with a shotgun. How many times did he have to reload there? Taking aim at kids swimming away? Nobody came up behind him?

Now, the newspapers were predictably, maybe suspiciously, wrong to rush in linking the Norway shooter to Islam. This is not knee jerk bigotry it is lazy and sloppy journalism. Or maybe propaganda. However, if you look at the summary of all terrorist attacks in 2010 it is pretty easy to get the idea that the probability of the shooting being linked to Islam is high. This is a logic that you use daily in your economic analysis, is it not?

If you go on Youtube you can find many excellent debates between the Hitch and various theologians of every stripe.
