Perhaps it is time for the Telegraph to issue a retraction to its kneejerk publication in which it automatically cast blame on Islamists and other "eastern" terrorists-by-default. Because according to just released info, they could not have been more wrong, and it is the reaction to precisely this type of prejudice that will never facilitate bridging frayed relations between disparate cultures. In online debates he makes his mark as a well-read, and one with strong opinions about Norwegian politics. He promotes a very conservative opinions, which he also called nationalist. He expresses himself strongly opposed to multiculturalism - that cultural differences can live together in a community.
He has had many posts on the site Document.no, an Islam-critical site that publishes news and commentary.
In one of the posts he states that politics today no longer revolves around socialism against capitalism, but that the fight is between nationalism and internationalism. He expressed clear support for the nationalist mindset.
He also commented on the Swedish news articles, where he makes it clear that he believes the media have failed by not being "NOK" Islam-critical.

When the massive car bomb went off in Oslo did just about everyone suspect Jihadists? Of course. Why? Car bombs are commonly employed by Jihadists, and, Jihadi threats had been made against Oslo.
The investigation is still months from any certainty.
The guy they did pick up appears to be a psychopath, like the Virginia Tech or Arizonia shooters. These guys had no politics or agendas, they had semi automatic hand guns and lots of ammo. They systematically and with remorseless efficiency executed defenseless victims unknown to them.
They tried to pin the Arizonia shootings on right wing extremism, but in the end the guy was a violent schizophrenic, as was the Virginia Tech shooter.
Why would an ultra nationalist in Norway target his own capital and then sail off to a camp full of young people and try to exterminate them? I don't know that and Muslims, immigrants, or non Norwegians were killed.
So if it was a xenophobic right winger his choice of targets was illogical. Why not blow up an Islamic site? Because the guy was just nuts. It happens. A mistake in the genome. Bad wiring. Maybe his mother dropped him on his head. Maybe he lost his job or his girlfriend dumped him.

Research shows that most "terrorists" have the profile of mental instability and/or a sense of shame (often abused), or oppression of some type. The truth is wars which destroy countries, weaken societies can and do create terrorists since you have a victimized people - thus the unlimited campaign of killing people - the war on terror.
Research shows that terrorists are not using a "strategic model" - they do not have well defined aims, and are strategically carrying them out. They are not Islamic scholars that are calculating what to do based on some text - two seconds on Google and you'll realize Islam would never allow that violence.
The best evidence shows that terrorists are "socially alienated", they tend to be lonely, rejected from society, usually unmarried men, unemployed...doesn't sound like an Islamic scholar to me. But that does fit the profile of MOST TERRORISTS.

Meet up and keep life as normal, the open society we are known to have with little restrictions (it is quite normal that people can run into the ministers, who don't have any guards with them and have normal conversations) shall continue.
The prime minister is promising that we must fight those who attack our democracy with more democracy, not less. This probably mean they will not take away our freedom. It will still be quite mild security checks for domestic flights. The youth party that were attacked will fight harder for what they believe in (that means even more pressure at Israel, which is something they are advocating, and probably less Norwegian bombs in Libya, Afghanistan and other countries where NATO wants to take action). I am sure this event will give the youth labor party more power in the labor party.
I am also pretty sure that the secret Norwegian Police will start to monitor all those "angry white men" who are flooding the internet discussion forum with their hateful messages (not sure what they can find from this, as I have read quite a few of the killers discussions, and they would certainly not raise any flags, there are far worse haters in the Norwegian internet discussions than Anders Breivik). The secret police have total control of the muslim extremites here (because they are quite few) and the violent neo nazis (they are even fewer after the brutal killing of Benjamin Hermansen a few years ago - it seemed to scare a lot of skinheads away from their groups).

I find his actions really messing with my head. It would have been easier if it was a Pakistani clown that has been messed with in his head at a quran school over several years, or one of the super violent neo nazis who has been shooting into demonstration crowds before. Now I'm a bit lost. But Mr Breivik has at least been very active voicing his opinions on the Internet, and he chose to be taken alive by the police, which clearly shows that he has a message.

This guy drives a car full of explosives, left it outside a government building, undetected, got himself over to the camp (on an island). Dressed as a cop, got onto the heavily fortified island (because it was full of agents, and military due to the ex prime ministers trip tomorrow) and managed to shoot 90 people. He managed to plant more explosives on the island too. there appears to have been a bomb in the basement of the building in oslo as well as the car bomb, judging by the damage to the building (at the top, suggesting that the blast escaped from the top of the building, there was work being done on sewers the days before, and no explanation given for how a car bomb could inflict damage at the top of a 5 or 6 story building.
also why did it take 2 hours for any kind of response from the police/military? this place is 10 minutes by helicopter from oslo. there were journalists in helicopters filming the shooting as it happened, how come the military couldn't get a couple of snipers in choppers there?
also there was a staged terror exercise the day before at the very building in oslo where the bomb/s exploded. as happened 7/7 and 9/11. it was on TV here in norway even, this terror excercise, and has been mentioned in aftenposten (a broadsheet newspaper).
also the guy apparently paid no tax in the most recent tax year (that info is all public in norway). even if you are unemployed in norway, the tax you pay would show up, so where has he been getting money?

Well, not odd at all that no one detected the car outside the government building. That is the way it has been here in Oslo. There were some debate that they wanted to close the roads outside the government office after the 11th of September, but they decided not to do anything.
And at Utøya, there are really no big securitie on the day before the PM arrives. Has never been like that.
What we are fearing is that our open society will change after the terror. Maybe we suddenly can't walk up to our ministers on the street and talk with them. Would be a shame.

There's four major differences here:

This was the most primordial hit: if we destroy their ability to reproduce, we win by default.
#4 This isn't a case of militarised children [just google "child soldiers"] - these were kids living in innocence of the real world. Hint: you don't wake them up by killing them.
9/11 was none of these things. Stop being lazy. A less lazy response would be: "...and they thought it would be a shock n awe bomb, then a quick arrest after a strike on neighbouring immigrants*, then the show would roll".

When the media reports an 'official story' right after an event - when there is still insufficient information about who actually did something and why - it's a plant.
