So Much For Predictable Markets
Today's intraday bizarro market: bonds and dollar ticking higher, as stocks pretend to climb, with VIX sinking all day.

Look out below...tomorrow!
Agreed, no volume on the pullback today and gold...
Agreed, no volume on the pullback today and gold...
Gimme those old fashioned GREEN SHOOTS!!!
Green Shoots are in a bubble, sell em.
From where comes the demand for dollars?
Why? You don't want yours?
I know a lot of people and businesses that are strapped for cash.
Never short a dull market!
So predictable
It's not trading, it's whack-a-mole. Whomever is going against what policy dictates gets a whack on the head! Watch this thing jump in the last fifteen minutes.
Hehe , the famous high frequency ?:)
Will JPM and GS soon blow up due to short positions on Gold? Unable to keep price down as flows from Asia and Europe marching to the sky! Also Hong Kong just called all gold from London home to it's base. World in disorder. Gold could jump overnight. Dollar holdings in question, world soon to enter chaos as emerging players sell dollar denominated assets? Tbill bust and depression countdown continues.
I'm sure ZH could deploy a small script to check for double-post, no?
Would think it takes more than reading 'data' to make it the presidency of the upper echelons, of one of the most powerful institutions in the world.

Bloody hell - when did tweakers start posting to the website? Put the crack pipe down and step away from the computer.
no, JPM and GS won't blow up. All they need to do in that scenario is call up turbotaxcheater and Benzimbwe and say this: "We need another blank check and we need it now."
the response would be "done"
are you guys making money? i have a full-time job, and a family, i dont have time to invest. Seriously, i would get slaughtered in the "open" market
i will never invest in stocks again
would you invest in the local crack dealer or pimp out the local hooker?
what's the difference?
is everybody looking to get featured in the money ragazine article re: how f-in filthy rich you are and how you picked out 16th china for your thrid house remodel?
how gay is that?
Oh man, that's like totally gay. Buncha silly gooses if you ask me.
+69 (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
The SPX is so controlled it's just a big fucking joke.
Well, trading the SPX (let's not talk about investing, either long or short) today is all about guessing the gang's daily targets... What chart did they draw in advance and how exactly they are to implement it. In other words, it is just like what trading a Soviet Union stock market index would have been.
yes -- it was all sorted out yesterday at the close.
they just had to wait for 10:00 to sell the stuff down.
meanwhile we saw the chinese plus 5 % miracle over night and the europeans advancing on no / low volume. miracles, miracles, miracles .... yeah -- it´s all randow walk -- repeat after me --- it´s all random walk .....
Good day ladies and gentlemen. We have now entered a part of the markets known as the twilight (*cough* Donnie Darko *cough*) zone, where correlations count for horse manure of the most concentrated kind.
This chart reminds me of "Horten hears an Nwo"
Washington DC only predictable market there is, where re-election is the fixed price for any favor.
i think, you can't predict any market when the yield curve is plateauing.
your reason will be defied.
do we have any yield curve experts out here?
does any such thing exist in this universe?
Kinda... well not really in this current universe. John Galt was throwing down some yield curve ideas yesterday. Unfortunately, the only curves most want to look at are the RoboTrader hot-plate special of the day.
I figure if people have issue with Tyler's call on it, he set up a special number for you: (288) 555-1534
Are we gonna paint the SPY tape on low vol today?
In case the Fed, Goldman Sachs, China, or Japan reads this posting... Can someone push FAZ down to $5 or lower? Come on, give it a try.
Looks like a double top head fake shoulder slide cup between leg forming elliot leg shift handle resitant parabolic support noise which is evidence of predictable outcome.
Sue, Steve, and Bill were already relics then, so dont bother....

TD, for those w/t BlomyLP, can we see who started buying SPX at around 2:44 (Semptember daylight time savings, 1 hr back?); it's kind of earlier than usual must be another green shot release after hours...
Liftoff - on time as ususal. If we could only get Amtrak to run as smooth.
JPM with all their NY Fed backing to jam it skyward for the weekend. Booyah, so much great news out there-NOT
No worries, Mercury goes retrograde next week with congress in session, next thursday we have Saturn and Uranus in opposition for a full week. Look for the sell off to last until the options expiration, but we'll probably pop tomorrow first.
if it pops in the a.m., my anus is adding to my short position.
Yes. You got it. After a (percieved as) positive jobs number tomorrow the rocket should come. S&P 1050 or even 1100 is possible. Financials will be the catalyst. But those that are in on the setup will be the first ones selling into the blastoff. Over the course of the next week the WS "clever" will reverse the 'unspoken but understood' place to be, and the aggressive bear neighborhoods will explode. They will make money both ways. The question is will you? Practice self discipline. It is your main tool.
Hehe , the famous high frequency ?:)

...or maybe your point is the carry cushion just needs some Zoloft if it's so considerably depressed?
