This has been staged...it was announced during the trading session, and not over the weekend. Here's how it went down: GS, you et.al. will be charged in the morning. Establish your /ES short positions, and then your follow-on long limit orders, early. Ready? Announcement made. Tons of money made, enough to pay the fines. Obamastration and the SEC look like heroes. Everyone wins, but us. Wish we had the same info.

Bet there's lots of long retail call buyers waiting desperately for the low-volume melt-up to save them before expiry. Maybe not so much of a melt-up today.
