WOW! The Euro markets responded to fundamentals, my God the horror....

Actually that is precisely wrong. The big boys dont want to "get out". Because that would mean they are in dollars - not something they want to be in long term.
The game is to make it as difficult as possible for average Joes and various furriners etc to be in Real Assets. The Boys have very deep pockets . So they can take down assets 50% , 70% ( eg . 2008) whatever it takes to get the Other Guys to cry "no mas" and unload their Real Assets.

And at the end of they day they'll mop up any real assets they haven't bought by having the government declare the holders of those assets hoarders if they refuse to turn the assets in to the government in exchange for paper money. FDR did it. This has all happened before, and it will happen again.
Reminds me of an early episode of the Simpsons, where the nuclear plant has a fire drill, and Homer is the first out, and he barricades the doors to keep everyone else in.

This story must be a mistake. People do not sell the market anymore...well, other than me. Selling has been made illegal, which is also why I spend most of my day in the closet hiding from FBI guys spreading out across the country looking for guys in hockey helmets.
