A few years back, a Fairfax County noobie cop pulled an open carrier aside while the open carrier was walking about, minding his business. The copper proceeded to confiscate the open carrier's gun. The cop made the mistake. Open carry is legal in VA (try that in any northern state - NY, NJ, MA, RI, ME). After being schooled by his superiors and understanding the long arm of the law with which the open carrier's attorney about to sue the county with, the cop politely called the open carrier and made arrangements to return the firearm to him, all charges dropped and making the incident disappear.
Good luck with that in ANY yankee state. Cops never make mistakes up there, right? Good luck getting anything near this response from a yankee cop in the wrong. There are too many NJ stories of inncoent people being locked up for lawfully carrying a firearm. Seems they just don't get it there.
NJ is New Jewsey. New York is Jew York. Mass. is full of Massholes. Get it? They are the three ugly sisters that no one likes. NH has full, legal open carry. Vermont has total, constitutional carry-- concealed and open, without restriction. I have dealt with Fairfax Cty. cops, they are hyper-aggressive cowboys... meantime, no trouble with Pa., Ohio cop contacts. Bashing the North is reflexive, but let me tell you, you can have your hot climate and "diversity." Just don't drive in a small Virginia town after 11 pm, unless you want to get hassled....
No trouble in PA? Are you incliding Philly? An open carry guy there was screamed at, threatened, and nearly shot despite clamly telling the police Sgt that he had an open carry license. To top it off, he's being charged with a litany of crimes despite fully cooperating.
I can only speak for my own experiences. I'm very sorry to hear about the Philly situation, but the Pa. Supreme Court will throw out those charges in a second.

That would mean northeastern cops are the best. Baltimore, NYC, Newark are all in the northeast. Are you not counting those places?
Baltimore is a Southern city. They sometimes deny it, but it's the truth (accent, climate, culture). NYC has solid, professional cops, the best of any American city. Newark is a real shit hole, but doesn't the South have plenty of those types of places? Aka, where the Negroes live? Our Negroes are just like yours, there are just fewer of them.
Racial division helps the oligarchs.
The sweet tea line is in Fredricksburg, VA. Anything above that is northern.
I think he is partially right. Maryland south of DC/Baltimore seems like the south.
Maryland is the bastard kid of North and South, nobody wants to claim it. The Eastern Shore is definitely Southern, as is Charles County and St. Mary's County. Baltimore is a like a poorer version of Atlanta, a big, liberal Southern city.... there are lots of Stars & Bars flags around Md. The media and government elite likes to lump Md. with the Northeast, but the ordinary citizens often describe themselves as Southern. Poor Maryland, lost in space.
Maryland is a solid blue state. There may be some vestiges of Dixie, but it has not been Southern for the past 20 years. You can find the Stars N Bars in PA or Michigan, but that doesn't make them Southern
The Mason-Dixon line seperates MD from PA.
If extended it cuts the bottom quarter of NJ off.
Borders change. Maryland is no more than an extension of Washington DC now.
Baltimore is a version of Atlanta? Nah, Baltimore is nicer version of Detroit or worse version of Cleveland.
I think it's a lot harder to stereotype a cop personality than it is say a lawyer or...
True, but they choose the cops for these jobs carefully. Aggressive assholes are preferred.
That said, they are NOT that tough. A group of serious martial arts students could take lots of them down... IF they had enough will to act.
Whenever I hear of martial-arts skills being touted as some sort of super-weapon, I think of that scene in "Raiders of the Lost Ark", where Indiana Jones, confronted with a huge Egyptian dancing around, waving a huge sword, simply pulls out his revolver, and blows him away. If a kung-fu chop-chop guy ever really threatened a cop, he'd be blown away, too. This isn't Anime World.
you're right. All top mma guys say they would just run if someone attacked them on the street - you don't know what the other guy has or who is backing him up. Anything is is just braggadocio and false pride. It might make you a bit sharper and mentally aware though - which is why military training includes martial arts.
A fine workout, maybe semi-helpful in a boozy barfight situation, but obsolete as a "martial" technology. Gunpowder...
Sometimes you run out of ammo and the only option left is fixing bayonets. MMA skills would be very helpful in that situation.
That's sort of the "prepare to die" situation. I do like the mental image of karate-chopping to one's death in a hail of .50 cal bullets... a cooler way to go than most.....
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=0bd_1249524865
By the way, most of the romanticized asian martial art disciplines like karate are not useful in real life. Wrestling, boxing, jiujitsu, grappling in general are all much more useful in real world situations.
First strike usually wins. In a ring with two trained fighters, yeah Karate is not going to win. In the streets, a Karate chop to the throat will take down the biggest guy.
A karate chop (man the things we are talking about!) is an unnatural scripted movement that is telegraphed enough to be unaffective versus most any trained fighter. A jab or straight are far more natural, unpredictable, and faster.
Like I said, street vs ring. In the streets, 99% of people are NOT trained fighters. Wrestlers aren't trained street fighters. Cops aren't trained street fighters. A chop to the throat is much more effective than a punch to the face
Right. I always choose .50 cal when carrying, concealed too, especially in the hot southern summer months.
Wow this is getting fun.
The guy was talking about a military combat situation where you're run out of bullets.... he said martial arts might be useful. Not against a .50 cal sniper rifle, right? But what do I know, I'm just a dumb Yankee, sending my taxes South to pay for the monthly grape soda and fried chicken allotments for your disused agricultural equipment.
I appreciate the fried chicken but could you stop sending commie libs from NY and NJ?
That's your problem, not ours. Better that they go down there than up to NH and Me., IMHO. More white trash from the North moving to Florida & N.C. every day, too. To quote John Lennon, "things are getting better all the time....."
Hehe, you're a real d*ck, you know that?
You bet, I agree, I'm one of the biggest A-hole's you'd ever meet. You wanted "real estate development" and "jobs"? Well, meet your new neighbors, Morrie and Rachel, from Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J. They don't like guns, because "they're dangerous." They also don't like the plastic Santa Claus at the volunteer fire department, and they'll complain. Also, meet "Frenchie" and Mehgyn, your other new neighbors. Frenchie is an OxyContin freak, that does (incompetent) roofing work on the side, and Mehgyn is his common-law wife, working on baby #5. They left Maine because they're "tired of the snow." You sent LeRoi and Sharon up in '67, we've paid for them since then, now we get to swap....
Oh, you are just a sterotyping, thread shitting, attention whore.
Gotcha.
You win.... enjoy your free toaster!
If you check the junks, fewer and fewer people read these posts as they move farther to the right. You can't be an attention hog way out here in the comment thread hinterland.
No dude, d*cks and a holes are totally different. Didn't you see Team America? I'd say you're a d*ck.
And you dream of being able to carry. We don't dream where I live, we do.
Dream? We don't talk about our business up here. Trust me, my neighbors and I are well-prepared. How? Nobody's business but our own.
I don't believe people in NYC or Boston are armed. Most aren't, unless they are criminals
I don't live in either city. I'm so happy that everyone in the South has a cartoon idea of the North as being Manhattan, D.C., and Cambridge..... don't visit here, don't move here, it's really, really horrible and terrible, trust me.
Most people know about NH but they also realize it is a very small oasis in the NE.
The moonbat states surrouding us (Maine is the exception) are like levees holding back the waters. Nobody bothers coming up here, and that's the way we like it. Tell everyone that we are commies, thanks.
Not a chance! I'm telling my neighbors that they'd be closer to their fellow commie lib families if they move to NH.
Half the population of NY state lives in NYC. Half the population of Mass lives in the greater Boston area. You can't even own a gun in Chicago. That's half of Illinois. Guys like you are about 10% of the population in the North. Go to the South and I bet 70% of the households have more than one gun
"Sometimes you run out of ammo and the only option left is fixing bayonets. MMA skills would be very helpful in that situation."
This is only valid if you run out of bullets and the other side has run out also.
I suspect you could take 50 to 100 average men, put them into those uniforms, badges, and battle gear, and deliver them down in the middle of a populated downtown area ( just as a experiment) in most major cities and the end result would be violence more than half the time.
there is this movie "the experiment" which is a story about a similar experiment. on netflix.
civil war bitchez....
f) When shes ovulating.

I'll be skipping Spain for my holiday destination from now on.
There's blood in the streets it's up to my ankles,
Blood in the streets it's up to my knee;
Blood in the streets, the town of Chicago.
Blood on the rise, it's following me.
Just about the break of day.
She came, then she drove away,
Sunlight in her hair.
Blood on the streets runs a river of sadness.
Blood in the streets, it's up to my thigh.
The river runs down the legs of the city;
The women are crying red rivers of weeping.
She came in town and then she went away,
Sunlight in her hair.
Indians scattered on dawn's highway.
Bleeding ghosts crowd the young childs fragile eggshell mind.
Blood in the streets of the town of New Haven;
Blood stains the roofs and the palm trees of Venice.
Blood in my love in the terrible summer;
Bloody red sun of fantastic L.A.
Blood screams her brain as they chop off her fingers.
Blood will be born in the birth of a nation;
Blood is the rose of mysterious union.
There's blood in the streets it's up to my ankles,
Blood in the streets it's up to my knee;
Blood in the streets, the town of Chicago.
Blood on the rise, it's following me.

Served by a cruelin' fighting
5 nights of horror and of bleeding
Broke glass, cold blades as sharp as the eyes of hate
And the stabbin', it's
War amongs' the rebels
Madness, madness, war
Night number one was in Brixton
Sofrano B sound system
'im was a-beatin' up the riddim with a fire
'im comin' down his reggae reggae wire
It was a sound checkin' down your spinal column
A bad music tearin' up your flesh
An' the rebels dem start a fighting
De youth dem just tun wild, it's
War amongs' the rebels
Madness, madness, war
Night number two down at Sheppard's
Right up Railton road
It was a night name friday when ev'ryone was high on brew or drew(?)
A pound or two worth of Kali
Sound comin' down of the king's music iron
The riddim just bubblin' an' backfirin'
Ragin' an' risin'
When suddenly the music cut -
Steelblade drinkin' blood in darkness, it's
War amongs' the rebels
Madness, madness, war
Night number three, over the river
Right outside the Rainbow
Inside James Brown was screamin soul
Outside the rebels were freezin' cold
Babylonian tyrants descended
Bounced on the brothers who were bold
So with a flick of the wris', a jab and a stab
The song of hate was sounded
The pile of oppression was vomited
And two policemen wounded
Righteous, righteous war
Night number four at the blues dance, abuse dance
Two rooms packed and the pressure pushin' up
Hot, hotheads
Ritual of blood in the blues dance
Broke glass splintering, fire
Axes, blades, brain blas'
Rebellion rushin' down the wrong road
Storm blowin' down the wrong tree
And Leroy bleeds near death on the fourth night
In a blues dance, on a black rebellious night, it's
War amongs' the rebels
Madness, madness, war
Night number five at the telegraph
Vengeance walk thru de doors
So slow, so smooth
So tight and ripe and -smash!
Broke glass, a bottle finds a head
And the shell of the fire heard -crack!
The victim feels fear
Finds hands, holds knife, finds throat
Oh, the stabbins and the bleedin' and the blood, it's
War amongs' the rebels
Madness, madness, war
agreed. at these levels greece is still more exiting
I don't know, lots of hot young spanish chicks out of university with worthless degrees might be forced to sell their cute asses
he didn't have time to rape her too.

'I wish her no harm': Cleared NYPD officers 'forgive' woman who accused them of rape as they are kicked off the forcethose guys look like they belong on banzai's flowcharts from yesterday, a couple levels below of course.
...coming to a town near you sometime soon?
Ghandi did these protestors a wrong. They look like a bunch of idiots. Bunch of little kids being pushed around by bullies. Not much of a statement.
Is there gun ownership in Spain?
Looked to me like they only needed "fist ownership." Those cops were VERY lucky those people were as docile as they were. The cop/protester ratio would have seriously emboldened me ...their formation tactics were so terrible and their violence so wanton that the cops seemed to be begging for crowd incitement. Amateurs on both levels. I think you both are right...that would look very different in the USA.
no, but there is digital camera ownership, now all they need now are these:

fuckers..
thats why people come up w/ coctail MOlotov... works perfect, esp for goons in outfit.. you see , you cant take off burning outfit quickly.. its made of plasitic/chemical stuff, so fire is very effective..
also, baseball bat w/ couple nails at the tip.. you dont want to be around man swinging one..
alx
They'll start getting these for uniforms. Except they don't come in storm trooper black.

Watch carefully people, this is coming to a city near you very soon. The U.S. is not immune to the contagion spreading across the globe. When it happens here, we will be brutalized by the nazis we call 'the police'.
In the US, it trickles in, more and more events are being blamed on "extremists" and "crazies." Many at ZH and other like minded cyber-environments see it for what it is, contagion. They (the wealthy) will be able to keep the top on this for a lot longer than other countries, they have more control of media outlets and how events are reported and interpreted than I care to concede.
Mexico will blow up. Unlike so many of you out there, I can't say that I can see the future clearly. Just trying desperately to be ready when it happens.
I cried watching the violence escalate. It is just that easy. It is the truth, not just Spanish cops, humanity. Didn't you get pissed watching the cops beat the girl? The young men did, that is why the cops ratcheted it up worse. This is all of us.
See officer bubbles in action. Repression is everywhere except in the media. Start video at 1:30.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVwXOKZh4Os
I'm not defending the Spanish police officers, but the girl who blew bubbles into the officers faces is a complete jerk-off. Watch the beginning instead of fast-forwarding to 1:30. Some people in the crowd are worse than the officers.

Multiple choice time:When is the best time to attack a woman if you are a Spanish policeman?
well, certainly not during PMS or oprah.
Marshal Law Bitchez! Coming to a country near you! But I still believe in ANARCHY!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ixj_xKfDX98
nice use of trigger words, mr. doyle going on 9 days member.
trigger words? there is no such thing as "marshal law".
Maybe he was thinking Marshall Plan to escape the sheer austerity of it all ;-)
Or maybe he was self promoting and his parents had a sense of humor at christening time. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Law."
I have to wonder...what exactly are they protesting?...the post does not say.
sorry should have said "word" and no it wasn't "Marshal"
Trigger words? WTF? Yeah I have been a member for 9 days, personally wanted to stay outta the fray for a while. I have been a reader since near the beginning. Maybe I have lived through a few of those 'Marshal Law' moments that don't officially happen like the LA Riots. One of the greatest travesties of the late 70's and early 80's punk movement was it was so short sighted. They all claimed to be anarchists and then when fame hit'em they overdosed on smack instead of standing up and being counted, effectively ending what could have turned out as a world changing movement. But hey believe what you want.
My sister is into the punk scene. I wouldn't trust those kids to wash my car, let alone lead us anywhere.
maybe so, if then, please excuse the paranoia. then again, if you've been around awhile, you would know about the 8th rule, right?
yeah, 'tis a shame all ideologies succumb to fame & fortune. oh well.
and i will believe what i choose, thanks for the opportunity to do so.
It's martial law... not marshall law.
Marshal Law - Where Spanish Marshals beat you with big fucken batons.
Believe in anarchy? Is that like "believing in" atheism?
I give you The Exploited...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBMxeIl0eE4
Most people believe in anarchy, they just don't realize it.
If you're living in a household--either a familial unit or a shared rented space w/roommates--do you need an external authority to dictate to you how you and your family or housemates are allowed to interact with each other?
Maybe you do. In the US, that's a living space rather like prison.
It's MARTIAL LAW!! Who declares it? Under what circumstances? What are the rules? It is not in the Constitution that I can find. Is this covered by statute? What exactly is entailed and what is it's legality? Seems we throw phrases around; does anyone really understand what it is we are talking about: Martial Law. Milestones
I think most of us do, but I'm not so sure the new guy (Doyle above) is the best one to explain the finer points of anarchy or martial law to anyone.
And maybe I was way too subtle in my humor of invoking the "Marshall" Plan as a solution to the soon to be smoldering husk of europe because we're pretty much broke too.
Sometimes socialism, not to be confused with charity, just has to run its course...just like a drunk hitting rock bottom before he finally swears off the bottle ;-)
Allow me to ramble on a little...
To your point on martial law...true martial law would be a hoot to enforce here in America in my estimation. For instance, they can't get 20-25% of the population to even wear seat belts (a law) based on principle alone (I'm one of those) so the jailed/death numbers would be staggering (60 million at least). Active and reserves is two and a half million if I recall, so its not even close enough to begin with.
Meaning, in my opinion, the president can sign executive orders until his hand falls off...it means nothing without enforcement.
They could very likely cordon off areas around important offices within cities, traffic check point highways into major cities etc. but that's about it I believe, which of course kills off legal commerce, which is undesirable to them.
Now, if they start rolling into the burbs & rural areas they would have the same problems that always entails...force thinning to hold ground primarily.
And the UN would be of no help, aggravating the situation by their mere presence here, their troops would be singled out by all for "special assessment", I'd lay even money on that...if history is any guide, if they took 100 casualties they'd hall ass citing the need for greater cooperation...LOL.
I'm not sweating it...without voluntary compliance, unfair laws are little more than state revenue generators no matter where they originate.
B.
When policemen start hitting innocent people at random, we face a bloody revolution very soon.
We can hope you're right
When people understand history, recent history mind you, there is a chance to avoid past mistakes and find a transformational solution to the mounting problems.
They can't understand basic math and you expect them to understand and learn from history?
the lesson from history is that people never learn the lesson from history
No, they'd have to learn history first to do that.
Which is next to impossible considering who is controling history
Heller implies that we cannot learn from history because so much of it is fiction.
Smells like G8 Genoa 2001 in Italia...cops burning, cop's cars burning, police attacking the peaceful protesters instead of the attacking black blocks...Good times.
Even though i don't believe the actual form of the protests will lead to any change i do support the movement.
This is the only way to go :

Things would have been different had they been sitting outiside the central bank in spain
The answer to the article's question is that TPTB have made money very opaque, and almost magical for most people. Even in America, where RP's campaign against the Fed has brought the issue to the forefront for many people, I would bet a lot of money that most people you poll of the street would have no idea where the money they use comes from. Couple that with the people's failure to grasp the consequences of exponential math, and I can almost forgive the overlords for taking advantage of the sheople. It's easier than taking candy from a baby...
Soon, very soon we will see such in the US I believe. The police here should be more careful as to how they conduct themselves. I believe when the veterans do come home that most will have basic enough skills and practice in how to adjust for windage and humidity when taking a shot.
Yes, batons, gas, sonic cannons etc. don't work so well against a patriot dialing up their D.O.P.E. from 800 yards away.
The cops have all the gear, they don't need public support.
Be that as it may, I think they will be sorry to lose it. I was watching something about the Crips and the Bloods the other day, and the police struggled with a lack of community support. Some of it was certainly due to fear, but not all of it. Most of it was simply that police were seen as the enemy of the community. When that becomes common perception, being a policeman in America will become a much more dangerous occupation.
The Perils of 'Accidental' U.S. Citizenship
Yikes!......

Scenes like that make me want kill police. Seriously.
Double post.
While I understand your sentiment, you are focusing on the wrong target... as intended.
Some pics I took from all this today: http://goo.gl/raGEn
I'll post videos later, though they are not as explicit
Police are the private army of the banksters that rule our country (and many more). They are stupid enough to obey. Psychopaths.
Thank you for the pics. Take care.
Thanks for the pics! Love the Masonic chekerboard on the side of their white helmets

Why aren't all these people at work?
ROTFL!!!
Socialism sets you free from such mundane things.
Socialism American style pays you for it.
"Why aren't all these people at work?"
Hello there....did you just wake, what work?
Hey!!!...I understand Barry's in the neighborhood, maybe he could pop over there and show them how its done ;-)
...looks like the policia might be hiring
Ghandi was wrong.
He worshipped death, for others, of course. Read his shit.
The Brits should have shot him.
Couldn't agree more. He advocated sleeping in the same bed as young children so as to overcome the desire to molest them. Also that the jews should just all surrender to the nazis and willfully be exterminated. He was one sick puppy.
He's from the same religious-philosophical space that offers those dudes that lay on spikes, the caste system, bathing in the excrement-heavy Ganges, and other such pinnacles of human achievement. Most over-rated guru ever.
Police as "the rich man's thugs". Most unbecoming.
I wonder how they reconcile in their mind the "To protect and serve" motto, with the "billy club kidney crush to silence demonstrators".
Never enters the minds of most I'd presume. It's the absolute power adage, just in microcosm.
This is what happens when you embrace a policy of disarming the populus. The jackboots have all the power and control.
Having arms is one thing....Having the will and a real ability to use them effectivly is another matter....as a whole heap of folk may yet get to find out.....Make good use of those in the community who have military training, they are your best option.
Isn't it amazing that most people (outside US at least) don't get it? They actually think that allowing ONLY state enforcers to be armed is a good thing ... and of course crims always have guns whether they are legal or illegal.
It may be what prevents this sort of thing in the US? Exactly the same as M.A.D theory with nukes ... which has in fact worked so far.
Outside the U.S. ? Heck I have friends in the U.S. who are strict gun control advocates. I just look at them in stunned disbelief when they spout out their reasons why. And they are not dumb people, they just have full confidence and trust in government to do the right thing.
No offense, but your friends are SHEEPLE.
They will deserve what they get.
You really want to get pissed?,watch the video, and read what happened to the double tour Marine(when the SWAT team showed at his home w/no warrant).
Scroll up................he was shot 61 times, w/his wife and children in the house.
For no fucking reason.
It's called Murder.
Hey you aren't offending me. I know they are sheeple, and either they will be so compliant that they survive or they will be slaughtered.
Basically these people have lived a fortunate enough life that they can't ever envision themselves ever needing a gun. Plenty of people in New Orleans felt the same way and after Katrina changed their minds a bit - it just might be useful to have a means to defend yourself and loved ones. The whole purpose of the second amendment and design of the US government is so that the people always remain in control and the government is run by them and for them. We've gotten away from that somehow. It wasn't 40 years ago that it was common to have high school rifle teams, seems insane to many now. States like NJ, MA, CA...rediculous especially NJ, that state's laws governing firearms are atrocious.
As an aside the most disturbing thing in this thread is the ubiquitous hostility toward police. This site must have has some super fringe disenfranchised people here. I've known plenty of police. They are regular people, some are good, some are not. Most are good solid people and I can say this having witnessed some dispicable behavior followed by outright lies to cover it up contradicting all witness testimony (which was ignored by the judge). So, yes I know how rediculous the system can be at times. That said many of the police I know are good men who have and would continue to step up and put their own lives on the line to protect total strangers from harm and that's off duty not just on the job. How many on this site can say the same of themselves and would stand in harm's way to protect others? The way I read many of the posts, I'd wager a far far lower proportion than the police I've known.
I don't think it's the police that people object to.I have many friends in tho police force, and they are good people. It's the jackbooted thugs posing as police who follow orders without question and use unnecessary force whenever the see fit.
Double post
This is what happens when We The People DO NOT have a right to have guns, or their rights are very limited... This is what is comming to the USA. DO NOT give up ANY of your rights to 2 nd ammendment!!!
All this so that bankers can get bailed out........what a shame
The police in my US city are more brutal than that. No blood anywhere that I could see. Pretty tame really.
The policia do this for a pay check?
Nah, the paycheck is just icing. Get used to being manhandled without regards to gender or physical condition.
BURN PARLAMENT!
It is a shame that the video was not taken with her in the frames before the officer hit her. Was she just walking by and he randomly struck out because he was annoyed by the other protestor, or did she do something to "provoke him" (gesture etc)?
Most US adults have learned that being "disrespectful" to the police will result in punshment.
By the way does anyone remember Kent State????????
a) watch the video again, and you see her walking slowly, focusing on her small camera (turning it on?). Her back is to the cops. The police-dude was ticked off and wired up from chasing the other guy.
b) so, if she flipped him off, it's OK to cut out her legs from behind with a baton, while her back is turned?
" did she do something to "provoke him" (gesture etc)? "
"focusing on her small camera"
