Spike In BofA Bullish Call Activity Ahead Of FOMC
With under 10 minutes to go to the FOMC decision, traders are scrambling for hints as to what may be coming. One place they are looking is BAC option activity, as this is a company which is in dire need of some monetary love (and at least steepening, hello OT2) from the Chairman. A quick look at the most actives shows that bullish bets far outstrip bearish ones, with almost 75k January 2012 and 2013 $12.5 calls having traded hands (granted it is unclear from this chart if the bulk of the activity was on the bid or offer side). Anyway, so much for guessing: everything will be revealed in just a few minutes...

So GS is buying out BAC?
Because that's the only way it's going to get saved.....unless the taxpayers are forced to eat more Countrywide shit sandwiches.
Tyler..

As long as BAC has the Countrywide overhang, I'd be buying puts.
Junkies are already anticipating their next "fix" from the fed.
QE said to end on schedule.
So f*cking what? Look at the Markets.. QE will continue
at least. Fed will continue to reinvest those
finance instruments, before need for
additional expand of Balance sheet..
BAC is undervalued. Though I prefer picking up some GAS/OIL
MLP with good Div at discount.
looks like we have another faux poster at zh. sighhhhhhhhhhh. look at the last few posts of his on various threads. his writing has gone from barely literate english to analytical.
Yeah, I'm not the English teacher, but what do you
know about economics? Doomster.. Keep hiding in your basement
with Silver, bottled water, rifle and canned BBQ beans and don't
fart too much.. Collapse masterpiece.

Robot don't tell these guys that Dow will hit 15k They all praying to be the only one, who escape the "collapse", others should lose everything.. Yes, bobos, if you inspecting Inflation to rise, then welcome to reality, - Stock market will reflect that, by
going higher.
Alright, you win, whatever you point is..
Beer is on me :)))

Greeny 18 up, 8 down The alias of an evil hacker known to have hacked over 100 computers and over 50 websites. "Greeny" is a SOB who just sits at his "PWH" all day and hack innicent people when he gets bored.Nahh, man, too old for that. Need to be at least 25 years
younger.. :))
/facepalm/
there aren't any numbers reliable enough out there to know what BAC is worth
Reminds me of those $16 call buys on XLF ($1,000,000,000 worth) before the last Opex in June...
Check out Faux Business News right now. They are showing the floor of the CME and no one is doing anything ! Everyone is standing with their hands in their pockets !!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing !!!!!!!!!!!!
If the mystery bidder is not buying, then neither is anybody else...
error
sorry for the hat trick .................
Must be the algo's
meaningless. for every buyer there is a seller. My guess is that the bullish option buyers are the fools. the only bagholder dumb enough to buy BAC for more than $100B would be calpers.
Wanna wager it's the DB buy & sell side creating "tape talk"....
BAC needs steepening no doubts there. Either pin the 2-3, the 10, or both and attempt another "normalization" of the 30 near 5%.
Just like San Diego weather forecasting in June...
