Congrats... not trying to be negative at all but, while gold had a great day (up 2.5%), my Sprott Precious Mineral Fund is up 6%. IMO, serious gold investors should have at least some (25 - 50%) mining stocks to get the leverage they provide on the long climb up the "Yellow Brick Road."

Anybody notice how closely gold and the S&P have been tracking each other the past 1.5 years? Both bottomed out in the high 600's, both having - till today - breaking 1220's. Here's some scenarios I can imagine a couple-three years down the pike:
Gold 2000, S&P 2000

Gold 1200, S&P 1200
