I am as sceptical about the motives of our "ruling elite" as the next man.
However, to seriously propose that the 9/11 attacks were not the work of the jihadists, but rather the acts of our own government seems to be a "little" (really a lot) far-fetched.
I don't know if this will convince any "truthers" but my nephew told me (before 9/11) that he (an insurance underwriter, now VP of a top-tier commercial insurance company) had recommended against insuring the Twin Towers based on their possible collapse due to a fire. I am sure he was not expecting a few hundred tons of airplane loaded with fuel to be the cause of the fire so if collapse of these buildings was considered a risk from a simple fire, the fact that they collapsed after being hit by multiple airliners is not very surprising to me.
The government is "not here to help" but to think that the Feds could carry out and then cover up their involvement in the Twin Towers attack seems to require a certain naivete' that might be charming in a five year old (believes in Santa Claus) but is not really appropriate for adults.

Yes, the government that fabricated, among other things, the Gulf of Tonkin incident, surely they're incapable of directing a few brown people (if this is even how it went down) to fly a couple of planes into a couple of buildings that stick out like a sore thumb. Or, you know, get a couple of teams together to demo said buildings. Is it seriously that difficult to imagine that they could pull this off? For christs sakes, we can kill random people in backwoods areas with laser like precision by remote control from thousands of miles away. An attack of this type is simply not that hard to do.

The tallest building ever brought down via controlled demolition was 27 stories. To wire it up took hundreds of man-hours. On 911 267 stories of steel beam, tube-within-a-tube structures were brought down. Imagine the man-hours involved in setting the charges.

In other news today, Hassbro Inc has pulled from the shelves their new toy intended for the Christmas buying season in the US, titled "Suspicious Package Smackage" where children try to identify using card clues which of a set of simulated shipping packages contains a teddy bear. According to a public relations drone, the timing wasn't going to work out this year. Hassbro have no immediate comment on their other toy in the same line, "Plane Crash Flash" which was released to a limited set of retailers September 11.
Was the Dept. of Homeland Security one of the limited retailers? That would explain things.
They were not on the list. However on the cover they and AlQueda are jointly credited with the original idea.
