Talk From The Pits: Goldman Sold 1,000 Large S&Ps Earlier

Tyler Durden's picture

From the open outcry pits:

Goldman sold 1,000 big SP today over 1,200.00.  Was it just a hedge because they KNEW the SEC would do nail them to the cross?  Is that insider trading?  Who knows how many tens of thousands they sold in the ES?

We can hope the SEC still hasn't blocked Zero Hedge and is reading these very pertinent questions.

But Goldman was mentioned positively at Citigroup!  Why would they bail now?  The ride is just getting started.

There are  a lot of things Goldman can short in this market and make money without shorting itself.

I was wondering why every pump artist was out all week pushing the financials.......plus using the financial push to push everything else. Now we know why.

Who is Sylvain Raynes and how did he make it past CNBC censors?  Did he not know that Jim Cramer may only be undressed on Comedy Central's Daily Show and not on GE's corporate mouthpiece?

Perhaps the most entertaining video on CNBC since Jeff Macke saw car people - I'm waiting on the video... will CNBC dare post it so the financial blogosphere can watch in shock and awe?

local news last night reported Obama earned in excess of $5 M last year. No questions on how he earned this income. Bet every person in his administration cleaned up last year after positioning themselves in front of his call to "Buy Stocks". Then use the power of the Executive Branch to enrich yourself and screw your enemies.

You mean hermaphrodites right?

They probably also chase down the trans-gendered trans-sexuals, or anything from NAMBLA. I also heard beastiality was the hot left button clicker.

I sincerly doubt the SEC has that much ambition to go further than they've proceeded so far. They probably intend on riding this burro as far as it will take them before they ride it into the dust and look for another reason to exist.

The only reason for a collusive pump is the eventual dump. This 1 trick pony print and pump market has lost its credibility, not that much existed in the first place!

Remember, for months now the market rule has been 'buy anything, it can only go up'...you so sure now?

Im not, I say they dump it off and try to create lots of panic for the final bailout 2.0. Get the last of the money, and BK the country totaly!

What do people think, this is just a game of happenstance with no goal in mind?

Goldman was also buying their own stock's put options and selling the calls in the same process and bribing someone at the SEC for timing the civil suit on an options expiration day. Only in America can you profit from a black eye against your own company.

Everyone was short since yesterday!

Let's see what this headline is about

"OMG!!! GOLDMAN SOLD 1000 BIG SP FUTES IN THE PITS! CLEARLY MARKET MANIPULATION!"

...at least that's what I'm getting.

Let's see. Big SP contract is 5 SP eminis. Average volume on ES eminis is in 1M - 1.5M range. So 5000 ES eminis is at most 0.5% of the volume.

Common ZH! you can do better.
