Thanks George, The style of Bubba smells as the former Jim R.

Simmons talked all te time about some bigger stinky stuff under, any news about this newly created specie by BP, what they injected under the Gulf?

Thanks and keep going the only honest and right way in info

off-shore drilling will soon meet its demise - as new technologies come on line to capture deep unconventional reserves (which are bigger than conventional by a factor of 8x-10x) - its just a matter of time -

ShankyS's picture

Thanks for keeping the issue alive GW. Fantastic post as always.

Citxmech's picture

What scares me is that the late Mr. Simmons may have been correct, and they're still spraying Corexit because oil is still leaking from the sea floor at substantial volumes...

Gulf Shores Beach and Orange Beach in Alabama are practically destroyed. They simply can't get rid of the oil and keep dumping fresh sand over the contaminated sand. This is my neck of the woods. Don't know where "Bubba" is from, but he should get out of his mobile home park and visit the beach before posting reactionary quips.

That Macondo well was actually drilling for Rare Earth Elements and they were released into the GoM, where the heavy stuff FLOATED to Florida.  That does qualify as Rare Earth.

Thanks GW

Keep shining the light on this appalling incident.

Let's see now - this was basically a posting of interesting links to some 'not very reassuring' information, multiple independent sources, in some cases very well-credentialed, and the attacks on GW are for what, exactly? Trolls.

DollarMenu's picture

Thanks G.W.

The only way this will stay under review is if people

keep looking at it.

All you can eat shimp at Red Lobster til Nov 14th just got canceled in my appointment book. Thanks for the reminder George Washington. Always read your articles.

MeTarzanUjane's picture

Thanks GW.

It's important for residents in the area not to trust your water supply. Don't cook with it, use bottled water and make sure the source spring is nowhere near the gulf. Don't drink it, remember even ice cubes at restaurants are made from tap water.

Once mixed you cannot get Corexit out of the water. It can only be diluted down.

Tampa has the largest desalinization plant in the world to provide tap water for the city. The water is taken directly from the GOM. OnDemand Poison.

three families that i know well have vacationed at the florida gulf beaches recently and all of them were sick during and after their visits. nasty flu like symptoms. all said they saw no signs of oil. we won't go there this winter.

Bend over Bubba just can't admit that this Administration would deliberately lie to the American people when the reality is that everything out of DC is, at the very least, an obfuscation of the truth

Don't forget the FDA! They are down the "food chain" a bit, but should be the ultimate stopper of contaminated food getting to the sheeple. Sadly, economic health (read tax revenues) is more important than our personal health.

Thanks GW. Bubba must have your posts on speed dial. The point that no one believes the government or BP says it all. The willingness of the government to poison its' citizens in order to salvage BP should be a clear indication that this government is not OUR government.

It is government of, by and for corporations. So, let the corporations fund it people. Let the corporations follow its' laws. Let the corporations select its' membership. While we ignore it and create our own system of community based rule. Sound money. No taxes.

Keep your production and sell it for goods of sound value. Using a money substitute of real value: silver or gold or both.

The government clearly could care less if you live or die or even, die in great pain and suffering. Exactly what do you owe them?

Bianco from  BAC said on cnbc power lunch. You can pick stocks just throwing darts and make money after QE2.

Thank you George Washington.

And to "Bubba the shill" FU! One liners with no backup facts are not persuasive. Our people are dying in the gulf from a british attack on our shores is how i choose to see it.

Obama gone from our country for 2 weeks and a few other high and mighties as well makes me wonder if something is coming they all know about and they are saving themselves. 40 + airplanes , all for our president during a time of austerity to visit india. Something wrong with this picture?

FortyTwoIsTheAnswer's picture

It appears there is speculation about this trip on multiple threads. I wonder if anyone has done any further investigation (if it is even warranted)?  Would be interesting to know if Obama will be taking his children with him. Anyone have any insight? Nothing from a small amount of Google searching.

Aw come on now, everybody knows that Corexit and Oil don't mix.

Cistercian's picture

How odd.I wonder where the contamination came from.

 Surely not BP...the Behemoth Polluter!

On the upside, you can now use shrimp as paint remover!

MeTarzanUjane's picture

Yea, shrimp on the barbie becomes a fireworks display.

Scout Itout's picture

BP created a whole new species...Shrimp that cook themselves, just add fire...hahahaha

bubba1231's picture

Making up lies because you are most likely short a stock is absolutely pathetic.

Cistercian's picture

I can think of something more pathetic...being a paid shill.

  And sucking at it.

I actually feel sorry for Bubba ... so many sheep to herd, so few disinformation warriors...  (unless its been outsourced to Bangalore, India)

downrodeo's picture

GW thank you for keeping up with this topic. You are one of the handful that still care. Thank you.

Eternal Student's picture

There's a reason why it's called Bangalore.

When you outsource a project there, it always goes Bang! Galore!

Cistercian's picture

 Nice article, I enjoyed it.

I don't enjoy the disinfo shills however....too 1984 for my taste.

Fish Gone Bad's picture

You know, there is probably some great literary/news reward in this reporting.  I am surprised there are not a bunch of college activists out doing field research on this and posting it on Youtube.

1.  Get a bunch of people and dig a fairly large hole (at the beach) and photograph the contamination, and take samples as well.

2.  Go out in boats with divers and take samples of the water column.  Measure the turbidity versus other non contaminated water.

3.  Run the samples through a chromatograph.

4.  Go to the sea food market and buy samples of fish (that restaurants are buying), and test them.

Persistance pays off.  Keep it up.
