Homebuilder sentiment and a few speeches from Fed officials. In general week to be quiet as market begins holiday wind-down.
10:00: Housing Market Index (April): Probably still low.This index continues to hang in the mid teens, where it has been for most of the past three years. Few expect much of a change this month.
Median forecast (of 39): 17; last 17.
10:00: Atlanta Fed President Dennis Lockhart and Dallas Fed President Richard Fisher speak at event on “Making Monetary Policy in a Globalized World”.
11:00: POMO closes: nominal market reflating operation with Brian Sack buying just $1.5-$2.5 billion in long-dated bonds due 08/15/2028-02/15/2041
12:00: St. Louis Fed President James Bullard speaks on banking rules. He is not currently a voting member of the FOMC.
12:30: Dallas Fed President Richard Fisher on the US economic outlook. Mr. Fisher is a voting member of the FOMC this year.
