If a thousand old beliefs were ruined in our march to truth we must still march on. --Stopford Brooke
"I know that most men, including those at ease with problems of the greatest complexity, can seldom accept the simplest and most obvious truth if it be such as would oblige them to admit the falsity of conclusions which they have proudly taught to others, and which they have woven, thread by thread, into the fabrics of their life." - Leo Tolstoy
key words "most men"...Tolstoy didn't know about you Marla, and Tyler ...I was inspired all over again after reading your article!

Thanks for the link, great article, looks like truth isn't relegated to obscure fringe blogs anymore...
"The press makes a mistake, both politically and commercially, when it assumes the public is stupid. It isn’t."
I'm not sure I would go that far...But I would say that the M$M isn't helping in much other than the further dumbing down of America, and now we're on to 'em...
Perhaps he was just referring to the curious among us who constantly search and sniff for facts. (because, just between you and me D.O.D., I think the public IS stupid)

Pretty good article Matt. I liked the fact he mentioned the intelligence of the flock here. Dead nuts right on.
Kudo's to the ZH staff, Matt, and the flock at ZH. The sum of the parts makes the whole.
I re-read the July article and it is a bold one at that....
All 'should' see and hear twice and talk once.
In the past, the TV media were by large, larger than life. You know who I am talking about, if you are over 30 or have a natural interest in the quality of the past. There are none left. Saffire just died, Novak, and more. Disagree, yet there was quality. I recall Ed Hart from the FNN days that man had more brains in his little cuticle than a bakers dozen on BB or that c something.
ZH approaches the quality level; we are in different times of actuality, no 7 second delays. We are at fact check more often and snopes than I can count. The cycle spins fast with little rinse. It has to come from somewhere, innovation, and it often comes from 'outside' the agreed on group, place or person. Things will thaw in time.

Regarding Point Number Five where you speak of the 5th grade level of MSM reporting and its attacks on online media, you state, "Instead it seems clear that you have been reduced to calling us ‘morons’ and ‘dickweeds.’ (We can say "#%*@head" in our medium, how about you?).”
I was not aware that a defense of one’s medium amounts to who can write the most immature sayings on the bathroom wall.
Seems to me, making a serious point and then punctuating it with verbal graffiti is like ending with, Ha! Ha! I’m a 5th grader, whatever the medium. Even when you're Zero Hedge. And Best-in-Class.
