UPDATE on Police State | “SWAT” Team Breaks Down Door, Detains Man for Wife’s Defaulted Student Loans

Just updated the earlier post on Police State | SWAT Team Breaks Down Door, Detains Man for Wife’s Defaulted Student Loans...

From the original source...

Questions surround feds' raid of Stockton home

Wright
said he later went to Stockton Mayor Ann Johnston and Stockton Police
Department, but learned the city of Stockton had nothing to do with the
search warrant.

U.S. Department of Education spokesman
Justin Hamilton confirmed for News10 Wednesday morning federal agents
with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), not local S.W.A.T.,
served the search warrant. Hamilton would not say specifically why the
raid took place except that it was part of an ongoing criminal
investigation.

Hamilton said the search was not related to student loans in default as reported in the local media.

OIG
is a semi-independent branch of the education department that executes
warrants for criminal offenses such as student aid fraud, embezzlement
of federal aid and bribery, according to Hamilton. The agency serves 30
to 35 search warrants a year.

From Reason.com

Dept. of Education SWAT Raid Update: Not for a Student Loan, DoE Says

Yesterday,
the Depart of Education's office of inspector general executed a search
warrant at Stockton California residence with the presence of local law
enforcement authorities.

While
it was reported in local media that the search was related to a
defaulted student loan, that is incorrect. This is related to a criminal
investigation. The Inspector General's Office does not execute search
warrants for late loan payments.

Because
this is an ongoing criminal investigation, we can't comment on the
specifics of the case. We can say that the OIG's office conducts about
30-35 search warrants a year on issues such as bribery, fraud, and
embezzlement of federal student aid funds.

All further questions on this issue should be directed to the Department of Education's Inspector General's Office.

This
will certainly come as a relief to Millenial deadbeats, but the notion
that "bribery, fraud, and embezzlement of federal student aid funds" is
all it takes to get a paramilitary squad to bang down your door at 6
a.m, handcuff you in your boxers, and throw your three pre-teen children
into the back seat of a squad car, all in the service of a warrant
aimed at someone who no longer lives in your home, is frankly every bit
as terrifying.

Many questions still unanswered...

Either way, criminal or not, none of this constitutes a raid as it occurred.

What's next? Jack Booted Thugs breaking down doors of people that may or may not be in foreclosure?

Oh yea, that's right. That is already happening, and the "cops" are doing nothing about it. Feel safe anymore?

I will be looking into this OIG semi-independent branch of the education department that executes warrants.

I also included the actual search warrent that was issued below...

Be sure to read the items they were to secure on this "terrorist."

I am out of words to describe except the ONLY line item crossed out of the warrant apparently by the magistrate was...

m. Contraband or any other item that is immediately apparent to be evidence of a crime

The rest of the items were things such as application records and transcripts.

Just remember...

First they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Terrifying times folks...

I was happy they concluded that little affair when the whole place burned live on tv in strong wind.

If there is going to be a large scale problem, it will probably be in Idaho and Utah first because those folks are very well prepared on so many levels.

Is this story the real deal or fear-fanning-fandangery? The whole story obviously not out yet.  With the Feds and Banksta buds pushing student loans like no 2morrow, I wouldn't be surprised to find out about bogus student loan application operations - could be good money in it!

"Either way, criminal or not, none of this constitutes a raid as it occurred."

I'm assuming the author meant 'none of this justifies the raid as it occured" altho perhaps I should

be giving the author props for creatings lines of obfuscated meaning to allow whatever interpretation

to be projected. Get the reader involed by participating and watch the emotional fireworks fly.

Criminal DOES justify the raid as it occured under certain circumstances depending

upon the severity of the crime.

Blanket appeals to wanton blinding emotionalism such as 'Either way, Criminal or not"

are very Berkely 60's yippie melodrama. Hell no we won't go! The Pope smokes Dope!

Etc.

What would have been nice to see here is the document describing the purported crimes

commited so we could judge the appropriateness of the warrent served but rationality

and intelligence are not the hallmarks of the modern age, are they?

I'd really like some more servings of irrational emotionalism please.

Mob,

Criminal DOES justify the raid as it occured under certain circumstances depending

upon the severity of the crime.

Read the warrant, fraud, lying to Feds, improper (false docs), while these are crimes.

I would not classify them as crimes that required a SWAT team, and a door kick in.

If you think so, I disagree.

And if you think so, then how about what ACORN did?.

Giving advice (false) info (telling them how to circumvent the Federal system) to  the  Feds for funds, to call a hooker service a business?.Take tax deductions.

And defraud the IRS?.

The taxpayers?.

That is a CRIMINAL act, and if there was a hair on the heads of the PTB, there should have been a SWAT raid there, and a kick down.(but these were friends of the beast, right).

So they got a pass.

That was FAR more a criminal act/s than this one(as read).

Agree/disagree?.

Just making sure I understand this... This raid was done at the house of someone that was believed to have fraudulently led someone to get a student loan? The type of loan that is permanently a part of your life, even if you declare bankruptcy. The type of loan that now makes up for more than 1Trillion Dollars of our debt.  And everyone on this site seems to have a problem with the fact that they raided the house? The SWAT raid was unjustified. It was excessive force, and it should be a felony crime. Apparently, there is little recourse even under civil law, even if the raid results in wrongful death due to gross incompetence (Pima County, Arizona).

This is the worst kind of tyranny, and it's only a matter of time before someone stands up to these jack-booted thugs.

If no one but the good guys (Pigs / Cops and / or Millitary) then that Marine who served 2 tours in live fire areas of the World would Not! have been Murdered in his own home while his child and wife watched him bleed to death on the floor right in front of them.

Think of it like this.. the Police are just getting started kicking in doors! so how many innocent people can be saved by removing the guns from everyones homes? All those nice people / Marines that dont have to be murdered.

"We the People" should be completely dis-armed so that "We the People" dont make over paid meter maids in more body armor than the Front Line Marines get are Not forced to Murder us in our own Homes!

The 2nd Amendment is for when people had bears in the back yard.. it was never really meant to protect "We the People" from the Government Lobby Whores!

Look at it this way, the sooner they come take the guns the sooner we can get on too the REAL! New Normal!

and! think of how many people are going to die when they come to take the guns! that will handle the pesky population problem we are suffering! and then all those nice Mexicans who are used to living under 3rd world standards can continue to work in this service economy that has been built!

Take the Guns.. allow all aliens to have citizenship and problems are more or less solved as a whole!

http://blogs.forbes.com/larrybell/2011/06/07/u-n-agreement-should-have-all-gun-owners-up-in-arms/

It may not come as surprising news to many of you that the United Nations doesn’t approve of our Second Amendment. Not one bit. And they very much hope to do something about it with help from some powerful American friends. Under the guise of a proposed global “Small Arms Treaty” premised to fight “terrorism”, “insurgency” and “international crime syndicates” you can be quite certain that an even more insidious threat is being targeted – our Constitutional right for law-abiding citizens to own and bear arms.

What, exactly, does the intended agreement entail?

While the terms have yet to be made public, if passed by the U.N. and ratified by our Senate, it will almost certainly force the U.S. to:

1.       Enact tougher licensing requirements, creating additional bureaucratic red tape for legal firearms ownership.

2.       Confiscate and destroy all “unauthorized” civilian firearms (exempting those owned by our government of course).

3.       Ban the trade, sale and private ownership of all semi-automatic weapons (any that have magazines even though they still operate in the same one trigger pull – one single “bang” manner as revolvers, a simple fact the ant-gun media never seem to grasp).

4.      Create an international gun registry, clearly setting the stage for full-scale gun confiscation.

5.       In short, overriding our national sovereignty, and in the process, providing license for the federal government to assert preemptive powers over state regulatory powers guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment in addition to our Second Amendment rights.

As an Illinois state senator, Barack Obama was an aggressive advocate for expanding gun control laws, and even voted against legislation giving gun owners an affirmative defense when they use firearms to defend themselves and their families against home invaders and burglars. He also served on a 10-member board of directors of the radically activist anti-gun Joyce Foundation in Chicago during a period between 1998-2001when it contributed $18,326,183 in grants to anti-Second Amendment organizations.

The paramilitarization of law enforcement will solve itself. Not in a nice way.

To paraphrase a post from another ZH worthy, long, LONG ago:

One of these days, one of these raids is going to do real bodily harm to some friend or family members of some cranky old specops type – and then some of the (insert alphabet soup agency) agents involved are just going to disappear. Or get found in pieces. "Recruitment and retention will drop off rather sharply after that."

Ironically, the very overexpansion of the military that the statists are so fond of, training untold thousands of the common folk in the science of violence, will help immunize the nation from this sort of thing. As Timothy McVie, & Bradley Mannibg showed, you can vet a guy on the way in, but there is no way to ensure his loyalty will not wander in the face of your gross misconduct.

1945-present:

President Harry Truman, approves the importation of German military scientists into the U.S. provided that they are not members of the Nazi party, are not supporters of militarism and are not war criminals.

Harry just doesn't seem to realize that he is dealing with Allen Dulles and the boys. U.S. Army Intelligence and what will become the CIA disobey Truman's directive and, using thousands of faked travel papers provided by the Holy Roman Church, organize the escape from war crimes prosecution in Europe of thousands of major Nazi war criminals and mass murderers who are nicely “de-Nazified” for public consumption by being given fictitious non-Nazi backgrounds and are then recruited into the U.S. State Department, U.S. intelligence agencies, the U.S. Army, what will become the U.S. Air Force and NASA and various other U.S. government agencies.

Other Nazis are quietly incorporated into American academic life, into the ubiquitous right wing "think tanks" and foundations which dominate American policy making and the creation of presidential candidates for both parties, into the mass media, into U.S. biological and chemical warfare agencies and other military organizations. By 1955, almost eight hundred of the Nazis will have been reborn as red, white and blue American citizens.

The main plan to orchestrate the escape of the Nazi war criminals from Europe is designated Operation Paperclip. In U.S. government circles, being an accessory after the fact to mass murder by helping Nazi war criminals and mass murderers escape prosecution so they can do their dirty work for the U.S. is called the "military evacuation of scientists".

An individual deeply involved in Operation Paperclip is one Heinz Kissinger, who had entered the U.S. from Germany in 1938, presenting as a Jewish refugee fleeing Nazi persecution.

As a private named Henry Kissinger in the U.S. Army, his peculiar talents are quickly spotted by an expatriate Prussian lurking in the U.S. Army, Fritz Kraemer, who will become the shadowy figure behind U.S. militarism for decades to come.

After a stint as virtual dictator of several occupied German towns, a remarkable role for a private, Kissinger becomes principal assistant to General Alexander Bollings, the “godfather” of Project Paperclip, and then works for U.S. Army Counter-Intelligence at the European Command Intelligence School in Oberammergau, Germany. There, Herr Kissinger trains agents to hunt down Nazi war criminals and mass murderers, not to be tried for their war crimes, but to recruit them in order to to employ their well-honed skills directly on behalf of the United States of America.

We will be hearing much more of Herr Kissinger.

Operation Paperclip, the merger of the OSS and the Gehlen Organization into the CIA and the other U.S. operations to block the prosecution of Nazi war criminals and incorporate them into its own agencies or the agencies of various U.S. puppet dictatorships, is nothing more or less than the implementation of the Nazis' Plan Odessa. Odessa provided for the escape from war crimes prosecution of Hitler's henchmen and their repositioning around the world in the event of a German defeat. The reborn Nazis would then continue to pursue the goals of the owners of the multinational corporations, including IG Farben, Standard Oil, Krupp, General Motors, Ford, IT&T and Dupont which financed the rise and arming of the Nazis in first place.

Most prominent among the thousands of Nazi war criminals rescued from the gallows and employed by the United States are Gehlen, Walter Rudolph, Walter Rauff, developer of the Nazi gas chamber, Walter Emil Schreiber, Otto Skorzeny, Emil Augsburg whose specialty was the mass murder of Polish Jews and other “undesirables”, “Angel of Death” Joseph Mengele, Hitler’s top biological warfare specialist Erich Traub, SS V1 and V2 rocket scientist Werner von Braun, Adolph Eichmann’s right hand man Alois Brunner and four of Eichmann's closest associates, and Klaus Barbie, the notorious “Butcher of Lyon”.

The rabidly anti-Semitic Allen Dulles is instrumental in directly protecting from prosecution his personal favorite, SS mass murderer Jospeph Mengele and Guido Zimmer, a leading figure in the deportation and murder of Italian Jews.

A favored group of Amerinazis is the "radiation experimenters" who will take the results of their concentration camp studies to what will become the CIA to develop torture techniques and weapons using radiation. Among this select group are Boris Rajewski, Gerhard Schubert, Hermann Daenzer, Wolfgang Luther, Dieter Strang and Arthur Demnitz.

Also evading the hangman courtesy of the government of the United States is Dr. Hubertus Strughold who had conducted grotesque “high altitude” experiments on inmates in Dachau, subjecting his victims to ever-decreasing air pressure until their bodies virtually exploded. In his brave new Homeland, Strughold will be repositioned as the cuddly “father of American space medicine".

A true Renaissance man, Strughold also conducted sadistic experiments on concentration camp inmates with mind-altering drugs. In the interests of furthering Nazi science, the CIA will use Strughold’s experimental results as the foundation for its barbaric and criminal experimentation with hallucinogens, truth serums and mind control, including the programming of "lone assassins", on thousands of unwitting Americans and Canadians under its project MKUltra.

After the French discover that the government of the United States has rescued and employed Barbie, a mass murderer of Jewish children, Kissinger's outfit quickly spirits Barbie and Nazi concentration camp doctor Joseph Mengele to the Vatican-run "ratline" where Croatian Nazi priests and others operate a virtual travel agency for Nazi war criminals escaping to South America.

In South America, Barbie and Mengele work on CIA projects advising and assisting the death squads of U.S.-armed and maintained dictatorships.

The U.S. arranges for the escape to South America and the Middle East of thousands of other Nazi war criminals who will become central to the ”security” services and death squads of U.S.-installed and maintained puppet dictatorships.
Near the end of the war in Europe, more than $2 billion in gold disappears from the Reichsbank and is widely believed to have been carried by U-boat to South America to finance the activities of the Nazi escapees.

Until documents released under the Freedom of Information Act in the 1980s and in 2000 confirmed the details of Operation Paperclip, the U.S. government repeatedly lied, hard as that may be to believe, about its involvement in sabotaging the prosecution of Nazi war criminals and recruiting them into U.S. government service.

For more than half a century, the U.S. mass media will studiously avoid any examination of the recruitment of thousands of Nazi war criminals and their incorporation into the highest levels of U.S. government agencies. Those in the independent and non-American media who do report the truth are, as usual, dismissed as "conspiracy theorists".

An accurate expose of Operation Paperclip published in 1992 by author Linda Hunt will be almost completely ignored by the U.S. mass media.

As of 2004, almost sixty years after the fact, there are still millions of OSS and CIA documents relating to the incorporation of the Nazis into the U.S. government, the CIA, NASA, the American military, the American media and academia which remain unaccountably classified. Self-evidently, the documents contain truths about the pivotal role of Nazis in the activities of the United States and its agencies even more damning than those which have already been unearthed.

That's because the state sees kids for sexual favors. I've known a lot of people that work in the CPS and other child welfare areas and the universal comment is "If they aren't molested before they get into the system they will be before they leave".

Got a whole edifice of evil just below the surface, but people don't want to look at what really lies beneath the facade. Will be a rude awakening when the curtain is pulled back and we are forced to gaze upon it in all it's evil glory.

Recently did a custody case (hate DR cases, only do them as favors for good clients) that took custody away from mom and put it in other relatives so that the kid would not be turned over to foster care, since the state had decided to take the kid if we did not succeed...  I think it's unfair to presume that the child would be molested in the foster care system, but I see no reason to risk it if family is willing to step up to the plate.

I'm only saying what people working in that field told me.  And this was in different towns as well.  So maybe it's not 100% but far to high for me to trust the system.  Also know children are FAR more likely to be molested while in state care than their parents.

Would you trust the system with your children?  The state seems pretty hell bent on fucking everyone, why would they leave children off the list?

Thu, 06/09/2011 - 16:02 | 1355485 MachoMan

I have plenty of family in the industry (along with my own outside involvement)...  and I think all would admit the potential for horror stories...  maybe even a probability...  but, as sick as it may be, the state is generally only interested in taking children when the danger to the child in its present home outweighs the risk of molestation and other damage from the foster system...  ultimately the court's decision (knowing of the potential dangers) is to weigh the risks and decide what is in the best interest of the child...

Pretty sad, but when you're left to decide between two bad choices, the least bad choice wins.  Often times the decision is as simple as certain danger in the child's present environment versus the potential dangers of the foster system...  much of the time it's simply better to roll the dice...  again, as sad as that may be.

The much larger issue is the predation of regulatory authorities (little or no case) on persons of errr little sophistication...  When these people have enough wherewithal to pony up a retainer for a decent lawyer, the outcome is likely to be different :).  Or you could try your luck with a public or non-profit attorney (good luck)...

Again, in a situation where the authorities KNOW a child's needs aren't being met (nutritionally, medically, etc.), they would rather give the kid to someone who has the chance of meeting those needs...  the biggest sure fire way to lose a kid is medical neglect and the case is generally very easy to make when all the medical professionals (including mental health professionals) are mandated reporters...  but, again, there is hardly a more protected right than the right of a parent to his or her child...  the parent(s) will likely get numerous tries before being divested of custody...  if they can't get their shit together after all the chances the law provides, then tough titty.

Because if someone attacks you with a carrot say, well you are obviously just going to laugh and call them a friggin idiot. But if they attack with a banana, well you must carefully reassess the whole situation because this individual is obviously bat-shit crazy.

You young people just don't get the old slang.

What do you think fruit refers to?

Give you a hint, watch Cruising the Al Pacino film.

I could have called you a Hipster.

Cruising illustrates some of the more radical aspects of the Gay community. Good movie but doesn't get airplay.

I've been watching a few cop shows recently and I don't recall any Gay couples commiting murder. I watched a Brit show that mentioned swabbing the anus for sperm. Never see that in US shows.

I think the Velvet Mafia and the Jewish Mafia have come to an understanding regarding film and tv. Especially who can be a villian and who a victim.

Well at least the jack-booted fascist thugs had a search warrant signed by a judge THIS time.

However, one would have thought that they would first have had some indication that she was there. Don't they have ANY intelligence capability? Lol, maybe not!

Second, wouldn't knocking on the door during a reasonable time of day been just as effctive for this kind of case?

I thought SWAT was supposed to be used for cases where there is expected to be a high potential for armed conflict.

Other than the fact that this APPEARS to be a stupid disproportionate response to a person who is accused of crimes, but not convicted of anything that we know of and we do not know to be armed and dangerous... it says that there is an excess of jack-booted thugs working for the government with too little opportunity to be bullies and sadists. They need to be exercised before they figure out they are the bad guys.

This is an armed, federal gang. Your logic is lost on them. The ARE the law, therefore they will apply it as they desire.

It takes a single generation for these practices to be acceptable.

Ever watch those movies about Northern Ireland?

Try Fifty Dead Men Walking.

Nice visuals for a future US.

+1 no-knock raid, for an unpaid parking ticket.

Thanks to the over-reaching federal bureaucrats, the public now knows that government is spending, maybe tens of millions of dollars each year on equipping, staffing and training armed Educators.

For any staff members of Republican members of Congress, this is a GREAT line item to omit in the budget at the next opportunity.

The entire DOE needs to be defunded, and done away with.(even before this news came into play).
