Just out from Reuters:

  • OSLO EXPLOSION BLOWS OUT MOST WINDOWS OF GOVERNMENT BUILDING HOUSING PRIME MINISTER'S OFFICE-REUTERS WITNESS
  • Several people injured in explosion at Norwegian Government building in central Oslo

More from Reuters:

A huge explosion damaged government buildings in central Oslo on Friday including Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg's office, injuring several people, a Reuters witness said.

The blast blew out most windows on the 17-storey building housing Stoltenberg's office, as well as nearby ministries including the oil ministry, which was on fire.

Reuters correspondent Walter Gibbs said he counted at least eight injured people. The cause of the blast was unknown but the tangled wreckage of a car was outside one building. Police and fire officials declined comment on the cause.

Update from Sky News:

Norwegian police have said that an explosion in Oslo this afternoon was a bomb which has caused "deaths and injuries".

Police said there were "one or several powerful explosions in the government building in Oslo."

They have told people in the Norwegian capital to stay away from the city centre and limit the use of mobile phones.

The building housed the offices of the Prime Minister, who was not thought to have been in his office at the time, and was reported to be safe.

The explosion was also thought to be near Norway's biggest tabloid newspaper.

Norwegian police have reported there were 'deaths and injuries'

Journalist Asgeir Ueland said that Oslo is a popular destination for people from other parts of Norway.

He said the streets were crowded: "It happened when people were packing up for the weekend and leaving their offices.

"There were lots of people with blood on their faces and severe cuts."

Craig Barnes is in Oslo and said that he is shocked at what has happened.

"It is a very nice, safe place to live.

"Norwegians are very friendly and I think everyone gets on.

"I think this is going to change a lot of views now. There will be questions regarding safety."

Nearby offices in the Norwegian capital have been evacuated.

Large amounts of glass and metal have been seen in the street

From Norway's Aften Posten (google translated)

There has been a major explosion in downtown Oslo. Windows are broken in VG-built and government officials in Oslo.

All we know is that there is a kind of explosion. We are on the way out there, are the short and hasty message Aftenposten.no get the police in Oslo for the call just after half past four.

Several injured

Both windows in the government quarter and VG building is blown out, according to Aftenposten reports on site. She looks more damaged.

A huge røyksy rose several hundred feet in the air. Large parts of Oslo heard a huge explosion which led to Darren Hayes literally shook when the explosion happened at five at half four in the afternoon.

Entire facades blow out

Our reporter passed Market Street and there is full chaos people running around bewildered. Several places are a fire alarm-

As a reminder, as BBC reported a year ago, three people were arrested in a "bomb plot"

Norway 'al-Qaeda' bomb plot: Three arrested in Oslo

Three people have been arrested in Norway on suspicion of preparing terrorist attacks.

Unnamed Norwegian and US officials told the Associated Press
that the men were members of al-Qaeda and had been under surveillance
for a year.

They said it was not clear whether the men had selected a target, but they were attempting to make peroxide bombs.

The BBC's security correspondent says Norway may have been targeted because it has troops in Afghanistan.

"The Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) has today, July
8, 2010, arrested three people suspected of preparing acts of terror,"
the PST said in a statement on its website.

Prosecutors say the Norwegian case is linked to foiled bomb plots in New York and the English city of Manchester.

Twin plots

On Wednesday, US prosecutors charged five men in New York over
a plot to bomb the underground system. The plot was foiled in
September.

The New York plot also involved peroxide bombs, prosecutors said. One man, Najibullah Zazi, has already pleaded guilty.

"The charges reveal that the plot... was directed by senior
al-Qaeda leadership in Pakistan," the US Department of Justice said in a
statement.

One of those charged in New York is Abid Naseer, 24, born in
Pakistan and arrested in the north-east of England on Wednesday. The US
is now seeking his extradition.

Mr Naseer was remanded in custody by a court in the UK on Wednesday night.

The former construction site worker is suspected of being the
ringleader of a plot, thwarted in April 2009, to bomb targets in
Manchester city centre

A bid to put him on trial in Britain was aborted last year
and his deportation was blocked when a judge said Mr Naseer could face
torture in Pakistan

The attack on peaceful Norway will also bring liberal Europeans in the fold should Israel attack Iran, or at least squelch their voice.  This attack appears to be in the best interests of the western aggressors as Norway is a country with a large Muslim populate where people live in relative peace.  Just my 2cents.

The MIC doesn't think so. They used the same tactic in Madrid in 2004 -- just after Spain's socialists announced that they would be pulling out of the 'Coalition of the Willing' in Iraq if they won the election. But, back then, the Madrid bombings backfired when Zapatero surprisingly won the election and did pull out shortly thereafter.

With a population of just over 4.5 million, this may have something to do with that surplus: Norway is the third largest oil exporter on Earth, and 8th largest producer.

This bomb may be the work of the Lutheran Brotherhood, a little know Norwegian resistance, recently founded in the wake of grass-roots revolutions in Tunesia, Algeria, Egypt, Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, Iran, and Libya.

I have two points.

  1. Norway is fucking rich.  They can afford it...for now.
  2. America's Constitution does not call for the government to provide Universal Healthcare, Universal Food, Universal Shelter, Universal Transportation, Universal Energy, Universal Citizenship, Universal Credit, or Universal Salvation.*

 *   “A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have.”

I stand corrected...

The following statement, or variations thereof, is often attributed to Thomas Jefferson:

"A government big enough to give you everything you need, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have...."

We have never found such a statement in Jefferson's writings. As far as we know, this statement actually originates with Gerald R. Ford, who said, "A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have," in an address to a joint session of Congress on August 12, 1974.

This quotation is sometimes followed by, "The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases," which is most likely a misquotation of Jefferson's comment, "The natural progress of things is for liberty to yeild, and government to gain ground."

As if that quote and those things above jive.

Except you throw in a few things to cloud it.  Universal Energy? Whatever that means.

It's nuclear and fusion.

Universal Credit? Yep, under the hamiltonian credit system.

Universal Food? Yeah, because growing food is fucking easy.

Universal Shelter? Yeah because in 2011, building homes is so easy, we have tens of millions to many, while millions are homeless. (not to mention how fucking easy they are to build)

Universal Transportation? Whatever that means. Mag lev is the way to go

Universal Citizenship? That's just thrown in there and doesn't mean anything

Universal Salvation? Another nothing thrown in there.

Universal Healthcare? Yeah, because as humans, it's needed.

What these things cost money? Money is worthless. Money isn't worth shit.  Valued stuff is worth something.

Money is from MONETARISM.

Value is universal, and can be done, not without units of account, but without monetarism dogma view on money.  Quit thinking like a monetarist.  Because I guarantee you are.

Money ain't worth shit. (especially not fiat, but even gold back money, is still worthless inherently.)

Water, Power, Homes, Electricity, Machine tools, infrastrucutre, so on and so forth...that IS value.

Thomas Jefferson (edit: it wasn't TJ, but Gerald unelected Ford...but whoever said it) was talking about the equivalent of golden toilet rolls, not healthcare or food (unless they were a complete idiot).  Besides this is also 2011, and we've figured shit out.  If 1 person starves in this world, it's because idiots are running it.  Not because it was neccessary, or we couldn't figure it out...nope it was the monied interests involved.  Go look at the countries in East Africa, 12 million risking starvation, I mean death starvation, needlessly, right now.

To use Thomas Jefferson to advocate what you do is asinine, and wrong.  Your viewpoint of money is wrong.  Thus everything in your post is wrong.  You can't always use quotes to perfectly describe everything, and that quote from Thomas Jefferson doesn't fit what you think it does.  Because it isn't the gov't taking away anything, it's the people controlling the gov't, who aren't giving us those things you lay out, but are taking everything away from us, called banksters, and they're foreign ideology inspired.

If you don't listen to it, and still keep on with your sophistry, you might just deserve what the banksters are setting you (and all of us) up for.

Here, I'll go through the transcript of the video for the pertinent info, took me <2 minutes

http://www.larouchepac.com/node/18838

"And Glass-Steagall is important to us, because it kills crime. It eliminates crime. It eliminates Wall Street! People are saying, "Oh! We need the money! We need the money!" We don't need the money. Because monetarism was a mechanism of this kind of tyranny, by creating a currency which has no intrinsic value, whatsoever, it has only a nominal, political value, with a force behind it to impose it.

We had, in the American System, was based on precisely this, the founding of the American System, from the time of the 17th century, was to create, in North America, a European system which was European in its technology, its culture, but which was free of the control under the European oligarchs. That's still the same thing, today.

European oligarchs are the enemies, the principal enemies of humanity. But to the extent we have Wall Street, that's the European oligarchs. So, we have to get rid of these guys, and the sooner they're bankrupt, the better! Because, the instant if I'm President, for example — I'm too old to be President — but if I were President, or somebody who thinks like me, would say, "Wall Street, die! We don't need you any more. We don't need your money!"

Under our Constitution, we don't need your money: We have a Federal Constitution, that prescribes for a credit system. The Federal government should, be creating credit, and distributing it, to be used for useful purposes, useful purposes which are broadly defined by the policy of government, and sometimes the government provides this, itself, or it provides the opportunity, of interest, to say, "we can do something good. We can do something good for society." So the nation-state, the local state, the local governments in the state, or the nation as a whole, must make allocations. Allocations, for example, we have to rebuild a railway system. These buses and these bums transporting around, is a very inefficient way, a very costly way. And we think that public works are necessary: Well, that's the responsibility of the Federal government primarily, but the assistance of the Federal government to the states! That's our American System: A credit system.

We don't need a monetary system! We don't need to depend upon money. We make our own money, under rules that we adopt, that we introduce. That's the American System, that's our system. And every time we had been free to do that, as under Franklin Roosevelt, he eliminated something! He eliminated the power of the oligarchy, and created a system of credit, to rebuild this nation, from the shambles it had been made by the oligarchs, the British oligarchs, the British in America. We're at the same point."

It's quite easy to see, we create and deem money, and can deem useful purposes for it. So homes, healthcare, REAL infrastructure, these sorts of things, are ALWAYS within are grasp, if we deem it so....and that's it.  But first we need to destroy the parasites that are sucking everything off the top....and oh yeah, their blood sucking, is all fraudulent. *and yes throughout all of this, regular old private business isn't shuttered...so don't even think about going to that stupid place* (but ask yourself, if this DOESN'T happen, what will happen to private business? Shuttered, through world-wide economic destruction up or down or both)

Glass-fucking-Steagall or enjoy a needless new dark age to pay off fraud.

I would highly suggest you read the transcript, hell everyone.

Oslo is just another strike on what monetarism as a whole brings needlessly to this planet. It creates the conditions for Al-Qeada, so you want to stop AQ? Stop monetarism.

Impeach Obama, he's part of the problem, but so are all the other sides.

They also have among the least burdensome regulations on the Earth.  This is the part of the equation that is missing in all political discussions.  Economies are not just hindered by taxes, but regulations.  In fact, regulations are much more harmful than taxes, as they disproportionately hit small businesses, meaning large companies that existed prior to the implementation of those regulations have a HUGE advantage.  This is the main problem with America.  Taxes are also a problem, but they would be easily survivable at current rates if the private sector didn't have to spend trillions of dollars on regulatory compliance.  Further, the government could fund universal health care with the proceeds from cutting all those regulator and enforcement positions.

The Arctic

"The Russia-Norway historic treaty on the delimitation of maritime areas and cooperation in the Barents Sea and Arctic Ocean has officially come into force. The document was signed in September last year to draw a line under the two countries’ delicate talks that have been under way for nearly four decades.

Under the agreement, Russia and Norway become authorized to explore oil and gas fields within the previously untouched 175,000-square-kilometer area of the Arctic Ocean continental shelf. The sides are also developing cooperation in the fishing industry. Russia gained the right to possess a major part of the disputed territory - over 860,000 square kilometers, with the remaining 510,000 going to Norway. This mutually advantageous and equitable deal conforms to all the statutes of international law, according to Alexander Khramchikhin, an expert at the Moscow-based Institute for Political and Military Analysis."

...Russia, in its turn, declared an intention to set up two military brigades in the Arctic. Indeed, the protection of national interests should be accompanied by a military component, although not as the last argument, head of the Center of North European and Baltic Studies (CNEBS) Lev Voronkov believes.

NATO is fighting numerous wars all around world. Consequently, it should not be a big surprise that these wars and bombing of innocent civilians are not confined just to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, etc., Now, it will be spreading to most of NATO countries.

Ahhh Reuters,

proudly presented to you by the Rothschild family and the Rendon Group.

"Rendon was also a major player in the CIA's effort to encourage the overthrow of Saddam Hussein. In May 1991, then-President George H. W. Bush signed a presidential finding directing the CIA to create the conditions for Hussein's removal. The hope was that members of the Iraqi military would turn on Hussein and stage a military coup. The CIA did not have the mechanisms in place to make that happen, so they hired the Rendon Group to run a covert anti-Saddam propaganda campaign. Rendon's postwar work involved producing videos and radio skits ridiculing Saddam Hussein, a traveling photo exhibit of Iraqi atrocities, and radio scripts calling on Iraqi army officers to defect"
