I ordered my silver from a dealer who deals with the Perth Mint, but they had to make a deal with some company in Switzerland. I bought 1kg bars, made the order in December. They were only ready for delivery 2 weeks ago (it's taken this long because i added some coins to the order as well).
Sort of seems like a shortage to me.

same here. bought some silver proofs from us mint in december. took 3 weeks to get them. on the other hand i had two orders for gold yesterday. one day delivery for one set bought through ebay for roughly same price as blanchard. 3 weeks for the other order.
Doesn't seem like there is much of a shortage to me. Plenty of silver out there for immediate delivery. Here's 25,000 ounces in Portland, Oregon if you have a cool $1M to spend.

If you have a billion dollars to park, then yes it's getting worthless. If you are buying pizza and gasoline with them, they are not worthless.
Similarly, if you are looking for a millions tons of Ag then you will find trouble; whereas a few hundred ounces can be had from numerous sources.

Lived in Saudi for five years in the nineties. Me and my expat friends always knew the place would eventually go boom even back then. He did a couple of talks in 2004 and 2005 which were rather good. In his most recent, he's been gloating about being "80% accurate". He has also repeatedly called for the economic collapse in 2010, and now 2011.
