This is why we're all fucked in the end.
One man makes an attempt to expose a bombshell and the crabs in a pot here quickly go to work fucking it all up with their bickering about their personal dislike of the man.
Hello. Earth to aliens. This is how NOTHING gets done and exactly why you're getting that big red, white, and blue dildo jammed up your ass.
Divided we've fallen. We're bickering over Grayson's motives. We're bickering over the messenger and detracting from the message.
And all are contributing roundly to jamming that dildo in deeper.
So, do me a favor, get on message or at least STFU about how screwed up these markets, this government, and this nation are. Because YOU are as much the problem.
Did your mamas bottle feed you turpentine when you were all young? Do you understand what I am getting at?
For the record, I am a HUGE 2nd amendment advocate, active NRA AND GRA member, and when it comes to my passion, Grayson is one of the biggest ass holes of them all.
Yet I support what he is doing with this.
Call your mamas and ask her what that funny taste in the formula bottle was.
Jesus. I'm ready to give up.
only relevant question:
Are his assertions accurate?
Bozo the Clown could make the statement for all I care. If what he's saying is true - let's focus on the content. It clearly needs attention.
Alan Grayson is a POS. He ran an ad against his opponent ( i don't know his name) taking a soundbyte of his opponent saying wives should submit to their husbunds.
Turns out the entire clip of his opponent was saying people should follow the bible except for when it says things like wives should submit to their husbunds.
I know all these be polictac efftards do this but its time we stop electing them. if they run a slimy campaign you can assume how they operate in office.

"...you can't seroiusly think this is just a Dem problem......Was this mess cleaned up in 2000-2006 when W and Repub congress had complete controlled, when Dodd was in minority from 2000-2006, how did he have power to be the cause of this.......Most Dems and most Repubs fed at the trough of campaign funds from Wall Street...wall street gave heavily to both."
when the ussr collapsed in 1989, the globalization gravy train went mainstream. with no stinking commies to worry about, other than our good buds in beijing, factories could be built anywhere and jobs outsourced at will.
when bill clinton ran for president in 1992, the traditional democrat constituency of labor based campaign contributions was already in big trouble. to fund his campaign bill needed to find money elsewhere.
wall street, of course, felt bill's pain and, by funding his campaign, eventually came to hold both parties hostage. by then extending this bi-partisan funding mission to the congress, control over all of the internal machinery of government was attained by......default.........
"...you can't seroiusly think this is just a Dem problem......"
While it is true that both paries are owned by the corporate interests and both would have done an equally poor job, this one is owned by Obama. In case you haven't noticed he has prosecuted no-one for anything. The whole financial crisis was just an honest mistake apparently. No fraud at all. Also every day he spends "looking forward" is another day toward the exipration of the statute of limitations. This free pass from any sort of investigation, prosecution or anything of the sort is owned solely and entirely by Jug ears. He is just as corrupt as they come. paid to roba abank and doing a damn fine job he is too.
PB:
while i would agree that yomama is "as corrupt" as they come i would also add that he is as dumb as a box of rocks. an ambitious wannbe who, depending on your point of view was in the right/wrong place at the right/wrong time, yomama is actually powerless to do anything at all.
the machinery of government is owned lock, stock and barrel by outside interests whose only purpose is to protect their own privileged positions.
obama is powerless, as was w bush. the deal in place now was sealed during the clinton/rubin admin; this current version of the corporate matrix actually began during 41's tenure as grand master.
Believe it or not, Grayson is trailing his challenger. PLEASE DONATE to his campaign. HE'S ONE OF THE FEW GOOD ONES IN CONGRESS! </end of political ad>
Serious question: Am I right in thinking that a lot of these morgages were packaged into bonds - that a lot of the bonds are now back in the hands of the banks at 30 to 40 cents on the dollar - but that if a certain percentage of the mortgages inside the bonds go into default and are foreclosed - then the bondholder is made good on the whole bond at face value, All courtesy of the Fed with taxpayer money.
If that is the case the big banks with the securitised mortgage bonds have every interest in keeping this going. In any event it is sickening. If the 60 million people with mortgages inside the MERS monster do not rise up and succeed in getting a fair system and perp walks for the fraudsters there will be even more incentive for Wall Street to carry on looting main street.
Rep. Alan Grayson,
I am the only one to be allowed to do pencil tricks:

Batman has no jurisdiction,
We have to kill the Batman.
If we don't deal with this now, soon little, uh, Gambol here won't be able to get a nickel for his grandma.
............Joker
high five Joker!
Absolutely shocking. Welcome to America!!!
I would kindly suggest to the administrators of Zero Hedge that they take some steps to vette their posters. Some are so juvenile such as "Quick - invest in pulp and paper mills... " as to be offensive. Another less drastic step the administrators could take is to make posters use their legal name on all posts like I do. That would stop a lot of this non-sense. But then again getting someone named "Tyler Durden" to do that might be a tough sell.
Hey Ballsthatitch:
Why is suggesting going long paper "so juvenile"? Most of the following posts confirmed that this is a massive legal nightmare with paper due diligence at the top of the list. At least my post was financial and not political in nature. Your petulance seems juvenile to me. Jealous because you weren't the first one into the pool?
With the asswipe require to clean up shit like you, it's great advice!
"..kindly..." Not here.
Until you produce a valid birth certificate, I would kindly suggest you fuck off. Bogdanich. Is that a Muslim name?
"Is that a Muslim name?"
My aren't you intelligent. Anything ending "ich" is slavic. White Russian, Croatian or Slovenian.
. . . you make the "vics" sound extremely unperceptive.
Whut? LMAO.
Paul my posters are already wet. I am a juvenile and so are you since you missed the sarcasm
I would kindly suggest that you suck my balls
this place is great. makes my day.
Yes, all caps...I am screaming.....
WHY AREN'T THE COUNTIES AND STATES SUING OVER LOST INCOME/REVENUE FOR FAILURE TO RECORD THE ASSIGNMENTS?????
Qui Tam lawsuits have been filed in Nevada, California and Florida, seeking to recover exactly what you're talking about. $Billions.

Daaaheemmm! Nice to see a Qui Tam brought by an attorney, rather than a hopeless pro se (as, in my experience, is usually the case.)
You can bet some Attorneys General are looking at this!
*Must Watch* ....Mr.Whalen great info-

It's coming, I hope. I had the same question about state AG's doing criminal investigations, but this seems to be a start: http://4closurefraud.org/2010/09/30/kaboom-referral-of-chase-home-mortgage-and-mortgage-electronic-registration-systems-inc-to-federal-prosecutor/
Why isn't anyone doing anything?
Well let's see, at the peak of this game "fraud" the head of FRBNY was Timothy Geithner... where have I heard that name? The head of el banco numero uno, the FED, was/is Ben Bernanke... wasn't he TIME magazine "man of the year"? Both these bastards are complicit in this fraud, and you ask why doesn't anyone do anything? I say we start at the top, to the gallows with them. Then work down, soon others will be begging for mercy. Unfortunately we're out of mercy right now.
You mean like Grayson?
The bottom line is Obama botched his chance. He could have taken office and immediately started cleaning house, and started sending these fraudulent bankster cockroaches to prison by the truckload. He could have actually stood for justice.
Now Obama and his lackeys are completely misdiagnosing the anger that is seething across America. They think people are mad about the economy. Well yes, they are... but moreso they are angry that they live in a country where there are 2 sets of laws, one for rich bankers and the other for the rest of us suckers. They realize that crime not only DOES pay, but that if you are rich and powerful enough, our government will help you pull off the heist.
NOTHING will get better until our elected leaders realize that the American people are clamoring for JUSTICE more than anything else.
stoverny,
"...Obama botched his chance."
This kind of thinking has to stop. It reminds me of a caller I heard on a radio program a few years ago. The caller was an elderly man from the former Soviet Union. He was talking about his mother and how she always used to say, "If only Stalin knew."
We all remember Kennedy. One of his last speeches was on the enemy within. Obama, hell i feel sorry for the guy. He never had a chance and right about now he is realizing that.
You are spot on about the justice part.
Right. I can see the clamor over Obama having started sending bankers and mortgage agents to jail. It takes more than the Executive Branch to do that. Something about a legal process or something like that I've heard. You'd be cussing him all to hell if had actually done what you propose. All he could have done is jawbone the situation. And look what happens when he "bad mouths" the bankers. Get real. I'd be getting pretty tired of cleaning up this mess by now.
It can't be cleaned up now. The cancer is malignant. Beyond treatment. Death is assured. Just a matter of time.
This my friends, is a fine summation of the robber baron lawless that has overwhelmed our country.

AUTOMATED FORECLOSURE
http://williambanzai7.blogspot.com/2010/09/stuxnet-automated-foreclosure...
Another good one! Does it take credit cards?
Nice! Where's the chipper chute for the foreclosee??
title insurance bailout next? WTF?
No problem; well just have AIG write insurance "documents" for the titles.
heh... timely thought.
Well thank you Alan Grayson for explaining in at least some detail what has been missing from the last four ZH articles on this topic and what I've been asking about in the comments sections.
MERS was the mechanism by which the existing mortgage title registration process was circumvented - illegally too it appears.
But good luck. I will eat my fucking hat (with the wings) if the Obama Administration comes down on the lawyers behind these "foreclosure mills and document faking "fraud factories" with anything greater than a slap on the wrist.
One thing though: if you're not paying your mortgage (for whatever reason) should you really end up owning your home free and clear for a fraction of it's value because some bank never tansferred the mortgage title properly? Does that mean that no one has a legit, legal claim to your mortgage title? I doubt it.
"One thing though: if you're not paying your mortgage (for whatever reason) should you really end up owning your home free and clear for a fraction of it's value because some bank never tansferred the mortgage title properly?"
There are a number of alternatives to that, but none of them involve living in a nation ruled by laws instead of men.
To an individual, a home is a lot of money. It is not unreasonable to ask people not to fuck up with that much money, be it a homeowner or some paper pusher somewhere.
Let's not forget here that the U.S. residential mortgage market is the most regulated financial market on the planet and has been for a long time.
On top of everything else we now get this shit-show. Explain to me again how more regulations and oversight agencies are going to fix all of our money problems?
Perhaps we could start enforcing existing laws, and 5-6 years from now, when the trials, suicides, sudden deaths and disappearances have run their course and thousands are in jail where they belong, we can then look at how the existing regulations actually work.
And indict regulators who fail to do that job. That seems to be what it would take to bring them onboard with this.
There is no possible way to create regulations addressing all possible permutations of fraud.
Basic laws against fraud are quite sufficient to cover all those possible permutations, if people were actually prosecuted when they commit fraud.
A million regulations won't help if no one is prosecuted.
Regulations are counterproductive in many cases, specifying lesser penalties than prosecution under broader laws would allow. Fines in lieu of jail time for example. Slap on the wrist with a ruler in lieu of breaking a 2x4 across their head ...or death by 4x4.
Yes, criminals love those regs. A get-out-of-jail card with a price tag, low enough they can easily pay for it with gains from their fraudulent activity with lots of money left over.
- K9:
I'm not so much hung up on the ethics of telling a bunch of fraudulent goons with eviction papers to go pound sand I just have a sinking feeling that the U.S. taxpayer is going to end up covering the difference on the defaulted mortgage.
This is a fucking disgrace. People being foreclosed on and they don't even have a mortgage?
Where is the outrage?
And why are you guys talking red / blue politics?
Who gives a flying fuck if it's Grayson or Al Franken or fucking Mickey Mouse talking about this?
Sweet divine jumpin Jesus I thought this was supposed to be the smart crowd.
Actually it is a very smart crowd. Unfortunately it is peppered by a few VERY noisy partisan hacks that should just be ignored as the trolls they really are. Debating left/right, red/blue, etc, proves that they lack rationality and excel in emotionalism. As such they are soooooo easily manipulated by TPTB. Very sad IMO!
Thanks for being the first to just say it. They seem so fragile, in spite of their flamboyant bluster, that I just didn't have the heart.
"Debating left/right, red/blue, etc, proves that they lack rationality and excel in emotionalism."
yep, divide and conquer is one of the oldest strategies for controlling ignorant human beings
politics, religion, race, sexual persuasion, etc - all of these 'issues' are used to keep the sheeple distracted
