Waiting for Earnings, Watching Michelle
Sorry, boring tape today, not much is going to happen until we get some of these earnings later this week. In the meantime, nothing else to do but watch Michelle Caruso-Cabrera puff her chest out with that cable knit sweater, and observe the various bottle rockets and shanks perpetrated by the GS Prop Desk on a low volume day.
Last week, we got the proverbial "non-confirmation" signal by the Dow Theorists complaining about the lagging transports.

I was really disappointed that CNBC didn't use September to call up some of the young talent they're grooming in the minors. Between Trish's pregnancy, Erin Burnett's assignment and Maria Bartiromo's Perma-GUNT, there are apportunities aplenty for Rebecca Jarvis, Julia Boorstin and Melissa Francis.

Still a gap in the S&P from this morning and another below that around 1060. Any big gap that breaks below would be a handy 'Bearish Island Reversal' and should open up the downside. Given that the only volume in the market is when stocks are selling off, this would make sense.
