I'm spooked. I watched your video link of gas leaking from ocean floor.
I hear rumors that a cavitation process is taking place around the leaking well, resulting in gas shifting and accumulating underground, raising the seafloor tens of feet across an area 15 miles in diameter. If so, and should gas pocket grow and eventually blow out to the surface, could take down ships and innundate coastal areas, with massive loss of life.
Anyone else hearing anything in relation to this?

Yup... no speculation there... that is exactly what the status is. You can take it to the bank... I'd bet my first degree (an underutilized Bachelors degree in Geology) since all the pieces to the puzzle fit.
Read it and weep... we are in a shitload of trouble and things are 99% certain to get much worse unless the local area of the reservoir depletes itself and oil volumes and pressures decrease.

Zero- Due to anonymous peer review the pronunciamentos of mainstream science are always suspect. Probably the biggest reason for the glacial pace of progress in the theoretical sciences for the past century. Examples of old hogwash that should be long gone include: Einsteinian relativity, Big Bang quasi-religious horse hockey, black holes, dark matter etc. and most likely the provenace of oil from the decomposition of primeval forests.

A colleague and ex-driller assures me that particular dispersant is a vile and dangerous substance and to expect consequences if it is being used in volume. I'll stick with his assessment.
