Mr. Kneale:

I respect and encourage the debate about our current economic situation and rather enjoy hearing both sides of the argument from a wide variety of sources, including your views on the matter.

I disagree with you in regards the "anonymity" matter and watched the clip presented by ZH on this thread and saw that you once again chastised anonymous bloggers and said something to the effect about them not having the stones to take off their masks.  I'm one of those who prefers the message over the messenger and content above all else.

Again, I respect your viewpoint and request that you take a moment of your show time and explain to folks the difference between the anonymous bloggers (say, Zero Hedge as an example) of today versus the anonymous writers during the American Revolution, say James Madison/John Jay/Alexander Hamilton, aka "Publius".

Do you think that the arguments and opinions put forth by Messrs. Madison, Jay, and Hamilton are less valid because of their choice to remain anonymous?  Do you think that these gentlemen did not possess "...stones.."?

If for some reason you are not willing to discuss this on your show, please post your argument on Zero Hedge.

Thank you.

Marla, this dickhead is beneath you. Why even bother getting into a pissing contest with him. If he wants to read Tyler's post regarding the end of the recession, and address the facts, then maybe he is worth engaging. Otherwise, he's just suckering you into his little schoolyard game. Ignore him. He's not important in the grand scheme of things.

I face this proclomation of DK being beneath ZH with mixed emotions.

On the one hand I was so hoping that the nickname I made up for him, Dennis the pennis, would spread thundrously like the mighty buffalo.

On the other hand when the CNBC deep voiced promo guy is proclaiming "Dennis has declared war on bloggers!  Watch CNBC Reports at 8PM Eastern," then its time to pack this one in.

In the spirit of things, I've spent the past 5 minutes trying to come up with one last zinger about Dennis the pennis for old times sake...but now I just want my 5 minutes back.  Good riddence.

Dennis,

NO ONE IS WATCHING! You're what they call a non-event. In all my time watching CNBC, I don't think I've ever seen you ask a thought provoking question, or offer any insight into an issue. Therefore, why would anyone pay attention to you?

A prediction better than "I officially declare the recession over" might be "my show will be canceled." At least you'll be correct on one account.

A boycott would just be silly.  One Santelli makes up for a dozen whatshisnames.  It makes sense to engage the financal press across all media...just that whatshisname is clearly not a member of the financial press.

Here is the truth, DK, the son of a @#$%^ says all kinds of things that are so misleading.    I had Kudlow on ( I like larry even though he sometimes seems lost in space) and wasn't really watching when next thing you know it was Beakers asinine voice i hear---two seconds later he is saying things and i am thinking, jesus, if he was a financial advisor he would be in violation of all kinds of decency because it was as if he was promising something--and that is irresponsible, and VILE!!!  Glad to not think about him anymore...but he will keep up the taunting, just hoping to reciprocal attention.

You simply can't ignore him forever... otherwise there will be nobody to publicly point out when he is clearly wrong about his vocal views that "this recession is ending right before our eyes... how dare I sell the hope".  Shakespeare says it best, "the lady doth protest too much, methinks"... Dennis is way out on the proverbial limb.  I think he can add snake-oil salesman to his growing list of attributes.

It appears to me that all everyone wants is real reporting from CNBC.

Man up like Dylan Ratigan. Speak the truth bring on guests that can and will make a real  difference.

Dennis is sensitive and has feelings just like the rest of us. If you do not believe me check this out. 4 minutes in is the is where you will find him.

He has an audience in the millions, and he gives advice that can really hurt people, so how can you feel sorry for him?  There is nothing wrong with being an optimist, but to insists that the recession is over, is misleading--did you see the chart on the commercial real estate posted on this site tonight?  And, it is one thing to be gentle with people who are in denial about our economy and also getting directly hurt by it, but what he does is different--like telling someone there is nothing to worry about, just get on the roof, and it will be fine,  when a tsunami is coming.

Probably it is the time for most people to finally realize that CNBC doesn't even try to inform or God forbid educate their viewers. Not only it is not in their job description, it is flat out against it. All they care is to have millions of braindead pairs of eyes with thick wallets glued to the screen. Worse, they really don't want to promote thought, of any kind, since this would mean that the viewer's brain is occupied and hence active. If my brain power would be taken into the dark corners of HFT, how am I going to fall for the ad about my one a day pill? Heck, the more fucked up my brain is, the more likely I am to say "You know what, I think I need this fucking pill, my brain seems pretty miserable to me!" Worst, why aren't people figuring out the insane incentive to hide the truth about CMBS that GE has? Do we really expect Immelt to come on the air and say "we're fucked!!!"? GE doesn't want you to know the truth, and the chance to hear it from them is lower than my chance of being the next Pope.

In GE's menagerie of clowns DK is one of the lamest, and even for entertainment purposes there are slightly more amusing ones. I absolutely agree with Marla, it is time to move on. The world revolves a lot faster than this sorry ass' brain, let's not stop for every moron.

I think they're trying to prevent what happened to the news channels. Few years back CNN was joking about web 2.0 and bloggers, but no more. Now they can't have enough twittering (when even Larry King got plugged up, you know they're scared). Slowly but surely sites like HuffPo, Politico and other blogs started to eat their lunches.
