"Would You Like To Buy Some Magazine Subscriptions?"
After days of configuring, we've finally managed to get subscriptions working properly. If you checked your email box you already know this because you likely received 900 emails at once as all the notifications queued up over the last week were batch-sent in one massive climax of depraved SMTP server coitus.
Sorry about the mess.
To configure your subscriptions, go to the "My Account" menu on the left and select the "Subscriptions" tab.
Registered users can subscribe to tags (if, for example, you might want to be informed whenever a post with the "Goldman" tag appears) to particular authors, to content types (like "Polls" for instance) or combinations of these elements. (All "Story" types by "Marla Singer" with the tag "Goldman" perhaps). We will warn you now. Subscribing to an entire content type like "Story" will create an Imperial Asston of email.
You can also configure each subscription to notify you on the addition of new comments or updates to the post (when we check spelling finally, for instance).
The interval for notifications is also adjustable.
You will have noticed by now that the release of Zero Hedge 2 is very much along the lines of a "public beta," with incremental additions and corrections as the days pass. We are very pleased to have you with us as the site matures and, as always, we are working hard to incorporate your comments during our development process. If we haven't gotten to your suggestion/complaint yet, don't worry. We probably will.
If you have suggestions, issues, complaints, compliments, or the like, please post them in the Site Suggestions forum thread (or email to marla at zerohedge dot com).

Suggestion: having avatars next to the headlines in every post clutters the site up a bit.
Keep up the great work.
Some small requests...
- Please oh please, prettify your new site. Strive for the elegance and simplicity of the number "Zero".
- You can go back to the old slogan. Enigma just doesn't cut it. I hope irrational exuberance led to the change instead of legal issues with the old.
- The new site's RSS feed is wonky. Comparatively harder to read and overly truncated. I will click through on topics that interest me, no need to bait my click with an overly short posts.
- This comment box is partially covered by right hand side panels such as "Active forum topics", etc. I can't see possible typos and other stupidities.
Much love,

Apparently, we cannot read the instructions showing readers where to go to post site suggestions.
:)
Thanks for working so hard - it shows - even though I still do not get email to bellsouth.net
I emailed you direct but of course if you responded it probably got eaten too.
I suspect authentication issues or outright blocking by the AT&T email servers.
Has anyone on here have evidence of email intercourse between AT&T email servers and ZH?

Great, AT&T is now assaulting zero hedge! I wish I were surprised!
Keep the faith people! We will not surrender peacefully!
AT&T and bellsouth have a particularly obnoxious spam policy. They are blocking us explicitly. We're working on the issue.
Marla, I give you an A+ for diplomacy but at some point when that doesn't work one just has to bury them.
Time to warm up the backhoe.
:-)
If I had to make a suggestion that would be non obvious it may be to reorder the sidebar (right) placing search, ran squawk, most popular, top rated, forum topics etc. this way the most relevant (timely) data and most frequently updated is at the fore of the page instead of at the bottom.
It seems kind of bipolar that the authors posts are at the top and middle of the page, but that newsfeeds etc you have to scroll down to read. Order of operations should keep all fresh data at the top. Of course it also leaves the headlines that run accross the top of the page for truly important/relevant topics like your direct correspondences from major organizations, important Zh updates etc.
haha If i had to make a suggestion and I wanted it to be non obvious, I'd do it here. otoh if I wanted my suggestion to be obvious to those in a position to consider it along with other suggestions...i'd do it in the Site Suggestions forum thread (or email to marla at zerohedge dot com).
