Don't forget, the FCIC panel continues today with Sheila Bair, Lanny Breuer, Eric Holder and, somehow, Mary Schapiro talking. How the last person on this list is considered an expert in any topic is the only issue that should be debated. At least being away from her 80286-based "enforcement-special" mainframe, justifies the lack of an SEC response on the ESH0 incident. Granted, nobody expects the SEC to opine on blatant market manipulation when the profits made are more than a few thousand dollars.

The incompetence of the people supposedly running the country is a mystery. Are these really the best that the United States could find?
But to solve the mystery think about who would benefit from these people being incompetent and/or corrupt.
Or to put it another way, if you wanted to rob a bank and you could influence the hiring of the security guard, would you push for a bright, motivated alert guard, or some old half deaf, half blind codger?
Gubmint employees simply memorize and implement the playbook strategies as dictated by the elected masters they serve. A work history of previously undiscovered corruption and deviousness are supplemental qualifications for consideration in appointments to these positions........and a confirmed background of never wandering off the reservation is the most valuable qualification of all.

Is Romer the most horrifying spectacle to watch or what?! She has this shytt-eating grin on her face the entire time she is answering the most serious of questions regarding her or the government's competency. Like it is so clear she knows she is in wayyyy over her head and is just spewing crappp, and she just knows she is going to be called out.
Romer is hands-down the WORST spokesperson for credibility I have ever seen.

A while back I did some contract work at NASD for Mary Schapiro's group. She is a Class A B****. She and her group of entirely women were one nasty group. They would hire men to do the work because their countless attempts at hiring female programmers who could actually write code that could handle millions of transaction per second failed. The men were scared shitless to open their mouths. We had to sit and listen to them complain and if we said a word, we had our heads chopped off. We had to treat her like she was the Queen of England.
If that nasty lesbo man hater loses her job today, it will be too soon.
I used to work for her. And all I can say is that I concur completely. The B word could never do this woman justice. It would be the understatement of the CENTURY.

You people just don't understand what Mary's job is. She clearly has a "to do list" of targets that the administration wants her to investigate. But her main job is to block investigation of many of the flags that we are all raging against. It's quite clear that if parties at 33 liberty street or 85 Broad st. are "doing Gods work" the last thing you want is an SEC investigation.
And as far as I can tell she's doing a pretty good job at what she was appointed to do.
On the other hand we need some show trials for the people who appointed her.
I waiting for one of the sock puppets to crack. It amazes me how they can keep up the charade. Do they really believe this crap?

You are going to see a lot of this post in the near future, because I'm going to cross-post it everywhere until I find someone who knows someone in Aurora Loan Services or its regulator. I've never wanted to bring a company down before, but I do now.
I wasn't quite angry enough until last week, when I read an article in the Times that made me realize I was not an isolated case, but an example of a widespread and apparently deliberate policy on the part of this particular servicer to deny homeowners programs the government has sought to extend, even though failing to extend these programs helps no one but Aurora itself.
