How Has BoomBustBlog Research Done For 2010?
Submitted by Reggie Middleton on 08/31/2010 07:47 -0500A quick review of how accurate we were in our highly contrarian calls (don't call me a Permabear) for the year 2010.
As I Have Anticipated, There is Absolutely No Fire in the Torch, Except for the One That’s Frying RIMM’s Share Price
Submitted by Reggie Middleton on 08/31/2010 07:37 -0500Research in Motion's flagship product was obsolete upon launch and is getting discounted by 50% two weeks after release while competing handsets can't stay on the shelves at FULL price. RIM needed a home run with this product, and instead it struck out. This portends very bad things for the share price in the medium to long term, sans a buyout/takeover.
As Research in Motion Continues Its Inevitable Downward Descent In Both Equity Value and Market Share, Investors Should Tweak Their Assumptions Accordingly
Submitted by Reggie Middleton on 08/30/2010 10:13 -0500RIMM is really starting to look cheap after nearly being chopped in half. Is there a fundamental argument to remain bearish on this beaten down stock?

Submitted by Reggie Middleton on 08/25/2010 06:27 -0500Sprint's ultra high speed 4G cellular service is live in NYC! This rapid deployment of next generation technology combined with the rapid deployment of Android (more next generation technology) puts the competition at a distinct disadvantage. What competition, you ask???

More of the Android Onslaught: Increasing Handset Revenues and Growth
Submitted by Reggie Middleton on 08/17/2010 09:10 -0500Those hardware vendors that have adopted Android are experience monumental growth, eclipsing the growth rate of the previous smart phone champ, Apple. As software vendors take note, expect to see massive strides in the Android ecosystem. Will this be the first time in the history of consumer technology that an opens source, free platform dominates telecom, media, and data? Who will profit the most from this?
Empirical Evidence of Android Eating Apple, Literally!
Submitted by Reggie Middleton on 08/16/2010 12:22 -0500Android's market share is growing by nearly 900%, causing competing OSs and associated hardware vendors to experience negative smart phone market share gains. Many believe that Apple is not included in this category. Here I present hard evidence that Android is eating Apples along with everything else.
Greek Recession Deeper Than Forecast, or Another Vindication of Independent Proprietary Analysis Over Government Propaganda?
Submitted by Reggie Middleton on 08/13/2010 05:40 -0500Second-quarter GDP in Greece estimated to have fallen by 3.5% year-on-year. I'd like to bring to your attention that this is a pace that is over 11.5x WORSE than the projections that Greece used to get the austerity package-based bailout!!! It is also much more in line with what we anticipated at the research group of BoomBustBlog. Anybody want dibs on whether we are also more accurate about the point of Greece's restructuring causing a contagion effect?
