While prices did go higher in several cases, investors need to understand that we are nearer the end of the rally. Or at best, there might be a short term pullback in the works that lasts beyond 30 minutes.  

As long as the bulls continue to believe, the market should continue to push higher, but there will be limit.

The bulls have the ball in their court and are on the cusp of turning this recent price move into a multi-month barn burner.

I am going to say that the bull trend in the Dollar is "definitely" over.

So while we can debate the state of the economy and the importance of valuations, we cannot debate the shrinking and absent volume.

There is a sense of incredulousness regarding the recent price action.

So while there are more bulls, they are chasing prices higher with one hand already on the eject button.

I am betting that we will see lower prices before higher as there are few bears (i.e., no short covering) and as the time for the bulls to have taken the reigns of this market have long since past.

The fundamental and technical picture remains bright for gold.

Opportunities like this are rare in a bull market.

A longer term view supports the notion that the gold bull market is not over.

Prices are at resistance.  There is risk of recession.  There are intermarket headwinds.  And investors aren’t committed either way.  I think this skews the dynamic to the downside even if there is headline risk.

The market always goes up during Thanksgiving week.
