1 Marine vs. 30 Cops at #OccupyWallStreet #OWS VIDEO (Marine Wins)

4closureFraud's picture

United States Marine Corps. Sgt. Shamar Thomas from Roosevelt, NY went toe to
toe with the New York Police Department. An activist in the Occupy Wall
Street movement, Thomas voiced his opinions of the NYPD police brutality
that had and has been plaguing the #OWS movement.

Thomas is a 24-year-old Marine Veteran (2 tours in Iraq), he currently plays amateur football and is in college.

Thomas comes from a long line of people who sacrifice for their country:
Mother, Army Veteran (Iraq), Step father, Army, active duty
(Afghanistan), Grand father, Air Force veteran (Vietnam), Great Grand
Father Navy veteran (World War II).

I took an Oath that I live by.I am NOT anti-NYPD. I am anti- Police
Brutality. I am no longer under contract with the USMC so I do NOT have
to follow military uniform regulations. I DON'T affiliate myself with
ANY GROUPS or POLITICAL ORG. I affiliate myself with the AMERICAN PEOPLE
that's it. I REFUSE to affiliate with anything that SEPERATES. There is
an obvious problem in the country and PEACEFUL PEOPLE should be allowed
to PROTEST without Brutality. I was involved in a RIOT in Rutbah, Iraq
2004 and we did NOT treat the Iraqi citizens like they are treating the
unarmed civilians in our OWN Country. No one was brutalized because our
mission was to "WIN the hearts and minds", why should I expect anything
less in my OWN Country.

Sgt. Shamar Thomas USMC Veteran

what a bunch of dicks, you want jarheads standing on every street corner with M16's? they know how to follow orders. you people are either very stupid, very wrong, or some insurgent voices have been planted by those who want to see violence.

AnAnonymous's picture

No. US citizens fear being tossed out of the bowl. They fear falling on the wrong side of the US world order.

So they are looking for protection against the US world order's dark side.

Funnily enough, but unsurprisingly, they are looking for protection by a man who belonged to one spearhead of the establishment of the US grip on the world, the US marine corps.

US citizenish trait: always look for worse as a cure to a situation. Debt has to be solved by more debt. Thuggery has to be solved by relying on people who are even apter thugs.

Such is the US world order.

Absolutely right.

Many US citizens when they return from war get depressed, they miss the feeling of killing, maiming, humiliating etc they so much enjoyed while on military duty.

This scene shows not one marine and thirty cops primarly. It shows 31 US citizens.

Cops are envious of the good times this marine enjoyed on his deployment site; the marine wishes he could do what he did on foreigners but this time, on US citizens. In so, he is envious of the cops because they can molest people around and the marine misses the feeling.

No difference between the marine and the cops, they are all US citizens.

They work/ed in the same type of activity. This US citizen negro is as expected a cheap propagandist, unable to perceive himself for what he is: a trained killer who made money off killing people in an invaded country. He has zero ground to speak the way he does, save the disconnection with reality US citizenism affords.
In US citizenism context, the police officers' manners and way of behaving are as worthy of respect as his actions as a military man were.

Such is the US citizen nature.

...and find out they've been foreclosed by a TBTF zombie bank, performed by a scum foreclosure mill, and rubber-stamped by a rocket judge.

You saw exactly what he saw before he took "them" on too, sure. Idiot. He said what he saw, didn't you finish the video before you barfed your stupidity all over the board?

FreedomGuy's picture

I didn't see the cops in this video hurting anyone. What is the SGT responding to? Cops are there to provide order and I don't see them teargassing or batoning anyone. He does sound a little "off". Need more context to judge this situation.

njdoo7's picture

Three easy steps to not being a ignorant fuck:

1. Learn the definition of "Police Brutality."

2. Google search "Occupy Wall Street NYPD" and watch the first several videos.

3. Shut your mouth and fuck off.

That's some screwy timeline for a 24 year old.   I'm 31 and my father missed Vietnam by a year (had me at 24).  Both my grandparents fought in WW2 and are in their mid 80s.  My Great Grand Father was bootlegging during prohibition.

Funny. Made me laugh. Cheap progaganda as usual.

The US marine corps was founded circa 1794 or something.

When came the executive order 880 something that put an end to segregation in the US armed forces?

How is it possible for a corps that spent most of its time of existence segregating to be of one colour?

Please explain.
Or keep your US cheap propaganda for boot camp.

US marines are US citizens and by thus racists.

the problem with cops is that there is never one around when you need him (or her) i hope you people don't have to learn that the hard way

Blankman's picture

You're talking to the wrong crowd here bud.  Most of us don't need cops to "help" us with our problems.  Most of us on this blog are pretty damn self sufficient.  Cops should be like children seen and not heard.  Problem is they don't realize they are just ticket takers for thier masters, they have been forced to become tax collectors instead of "Serve and Protect".  Every time you write a ticket you are not helping society you are hurting (TAXING) your local constituents who are the hard working people in your local town.

the grateful unemployed's picture

you don't know shit, i don't know where you live, but if you think the cops are the problem you better look in the mirror.

FreedomGuy's picture

He's half right. I run so damn many gauntlets of ticket takers that I had to get a radar detector. They know exactly where to hide, where the shadows are, where the limits change, wait for people speeding up outside construction. That is the primary task in terms of time. Then you send them to court for court fees, etc.

Where he's wrong is cops being the problem. The "system" is the problem.  Cops don't work for the public. They work for the State. They know who pays their checks and that comes first. Public is second. Just a practical consideration. When the State goes bad many cops will go with it. I would argue that the ticket-revenue corrupts the process and makes it easier to do so. When you can shake down your neighbor for revenue it gets easier to do other things.

Security guards and companies work for the public. You don't see them harass anyone. That's the huge difference.

we have red light cameras, which are hugely successful at stopping law breakers. now there are two lines of thought against these devices. one is it costs too much money to prosecute these people, two is they are unfair. hard to believe number one but LA has pulled a lot of these when they are proven to stop crashes

having been a trucker a number of years may i suggest driving the speed limit. it works every time.

Blankman's picture

You must not have read what I posted.  Nowhere in my post did I say cops were the problem, I just stated I would like to see less cops.  Let me further this, less cops and more people looking out for their neighbors would suit me just fine.

RE: red light cameras - go ask your local politicians how much they love the cash the red light cameras generate.  That is the only purpose of those things.  They are huge profit generators plain and simple.  The politician in your area took them down because they were pissing off the locals who vote for him.  No other reason.  He was experiencing backlash from his supporters.  Better to be reelected than protect people from running red lights.

FreedomGuy's picture

The studies I have seen show that redlight cameras actually increase accidents because they start flashing and people panic and hit brakes. When someone knows a camera is ahead they stop suddenly and short causing rear end crashes even though they probably had time to stop. However, it was published that just one camera at one intersection in my city generated $1.5million. I see new ones going in almost weekly. So, it's not safety, it's revenue that is the goal, even when accidents go up.

From what I've read redlight cameras have a 96% unfavorable rating. Yet, they continue to go in. This is profoundly immoral and corrupting. I also find it interesting that you send your friends and neighbors to city council and the mayorship and suddenly they quit being a citizen and become a government first animal. Suddenly the redlight cameras and speedtraps they hate become essential. It reinforces my argument that government may be a necessary evil and being evil should be minimized.

Police are unconstitutional in America. Municipal governments are unconstitutional.

Municipal governments are military jurisdictions, and municipal police are military police, both unconstitutional in America.

Municipal governments should be dissolved and police departments should be disbanded.

The only constitutional law enforcement in a county or parish is the county sheriff and deputies. They are part of the judicial branch of government, not the executive branch.

The executive branch of government, at any level, has no law enforcement authority under the constitution.

swamp's picture

Fuck you and fuck your asshole porno photo on this site.

FreedomGuy's picture

Actually, the Constitution does not cover state police forces. States rights are pretty long and unlimited. That's why it's good to be able to escape them.

Accidental Farmer's picture

And guess why it is that so much happens that is unconstitutional? HuuuH????? Because the constitution was thrown out during martial law in the 1860's. Lincoln reconveined congress with executive order #2. (Executive orders are only possible under martial law)

There is no constitution FOR the United States. It is the Constitution OF the UNITED STATES.

By the way, if you read the constitution OF THE UNITED STATES, you'll notice that almost all of the amendments are in square brackets. That means that legally they are not there.

That also explains why you don't need a birth cert to be pres. It's a corporation. A tuna fish sandwich can be president.

Congress is just a board of directors of the corporation.

Look up the article six oath that the president is supposed to take. Different than the one taken by the CEO of the company that you think is your country or republic.

There hasn't been a constitution since 1863. There hasn't been a republic since 1871. There hasn't been a president that took the article 6 oath outlined in the articles of confederation EVER. Even Washington was sworn in in 1789, which was one year shy of the 14 years since 1776 that he would need to be a lawful resident qualifying him to take the article six oath.

If you have a social security number, then you are not party to the organic onstitution. You are a 14th amendment citizen of the corporate UNITED STATES.

But who cares about any of that silly shit. The cops are not busting down your door at the moment, there's beer in the fridge, and football is on tonight..... so lube up your ass, put on your knee pads, and do what you're told.

I'm sure you have plenty of time to worry about usurpers and dictatorships another day.
