AAPL is up for a big reason. It's a big componet. That's it. Easier to float one POS higher than 1,000 small ones.
If you want to compare charts do something interesting like a chart of the peoples overall opinion of the economy backdropped against a chart of SDS.

I think the point has to do with relative success in the smart phone market. RIMM was trading above $100 back in 1H08 and AAPL was treading around the $150 mark. If you were playing those stocks at the time there was some question about how well the iPhone would do, and RIMM was still king of the hill. Times have changed and hindsight is 20/20. But at the time it was a worthy question.

Reggie was bumbling on the fast money halftime show today, was tripping all over his words and looked about to crap himself when he was talking. Not as arrogrant in real life as behind a keyboard. Actually felt bad for the guy.

RIMM has been getting rimmed for quite some time, but I think you could swap in many other stocks and RIMM will still fare poorly. Best RIMM can hope for is a buyout.
