I think the real intent is to point out that we do not have the WH speaking against the violence against OWS demonstrators, even if not yet lethal. I think this affirms the OWS point that the Federal Government does not give a fuck about most people.
IOW, it is politically expedient to call out violence against MENA Spring protesters, but not the Occupiers.
This is my take away as well.
Whether the "reasons" people are there are in line with any of our beliefs does not change where this is headed.
And let me tell you this, a majority of citizens, even those caught up currently in the red/blue ignorance, will recognize and disapprove of violence against fellow citizens.
And the guy that thanks the cops for magnifying the attention they will get has it exactly right when he points it out.
There isn't an Obama supporter out there who could spin justification for his not calling out the behavior of those who are supposed to serve and protect the citizens and are instead taking the actions caught on camera here.
Justification is hardly spun from injustice indeed.
+1.
Not only are the financial institutions monetarilly bankrupt, the political system is morally bankrupt, the judiciary is also morally bankrupt, the civil authorities are not only financially, but morally bankrupt.
The 'rot' has festered away in America's core for years and has now erupted to the surface, like a foul smelling, puss filled boil, that has over flowed.
Time to 'lance' the present abomination that calls itself a "civil" society and start a fresh. Thomas Jefferson said that occationally the republic's freedom must be refreshed with spilled blood.
Those who oppose the will of the people and actively oppress them will not be forgotten. Your time will come.
Now we're talking. This is the stuff of a good old fashioned stemwinder. Study Huey Long and Father Coughlin (before they went off the deep end) for some tutelage on how it's done!
americans are about to go in harms way. the outcome is doubtfull
People die in revolution and anarchy. Millions of them. That's YOUR family members. If you want freedom, a good paying job, and a high standard of living then you want an end to the rabid corruption, not anarchy. If you are too selfish and lazy to work and don't care who dies and starves, then anarchy might be your thing.
I get tired of all the people who are certain they want anarchy when you know full well that 99% of them would go home crying when the Apple store closed or they couldn't guy a burger.
Agree. No need for anarchy. Most have no idea what that would mean. America is a great nation. We might need a little "course correction"; however, it should always be done through the proper channels of democracy. The system was built on democracy and it should follow the rules. No need for an "Animal Farm" scenario. Change takes time. There is a reason for that- America is not a 3rd world country. If change is warranted, then it will happen. No reason to have a blanket turn on the wealthy, No reason to turn on the good people, who played by the rules and scored. I am not one of those; however, the game was fair. This is America. Let's send the criminals to jail because they were wrong- not prosecute those that made their way because they made it. Being rich is not a crime. I am not rich; however, in America- it is not wrong to be rich- and never should be.
Good luck separating those that obtained riches via fraud from everyone else!
and just how do you propose a change to the injustice of the status quo without anarchy? TPTB have intentionally closed all other avenues, democratic, civic, fourth estate, judicial
history's wheel is fulsomely at that point where justice can only come from the ashes of anarchy. Sometimes peaceful revolutions can occur, depending on the capability and disposition of those in power. The current mob in power will not allow a peaceful revolution. CapitalistRock, explain yourself or you go on the bonfire with them....
Fuck you and your MSM definition of Anarchy. Read a little. Study a little. Anarchy is not simply chaos.
Intricate chaos?
Self-governance. Free association of people. The Wikipedia has a decent entry as a primer - at least as of a few months ago.
In theory most every philosophy is wonderful. In reality, few, if any are. I suspect you will not like anarchy, though I could be wrong. And no, I'm not spouting the MSM line. I am spouting my own opinion, gained from experience living in First to Last World societies, that human beings will always find a way to game the system, solidify their own positions, and absent any strong or even weakly enforceable law, will abuse whomever they can for their own gain. If you are not an elite in this economic iteration, then you will not be an elite in any economic or societal iteration, not saying you would want to be. Ths skills and traits that allow someone to reach the top and keep himself there are transferable across any system. If you think you can fight off the the predators---who will come after anything you have that they want---in anything less than a society with some semblance of enforceable law, in my opinion (could be wrong) you are naive and grossly overestimate your own abilities. If you truly had the abilities you think would serve you well in a system of anarchy, you would already be at the top and not complaining. Take away even the weakly enforced legal system we have now, things will be even worse, because there will be nothing in the way of checks and balances. The only chance we have is for the electorate to demand that existing laws are enforced, and that loopholes be filled. If humans were all moral, things might be different. Not everyone is, and even most of those who are moral let it slip when survival is at stake. Evolution, not some elite or Illuminati is responsible for that reality. That is my experience, though I might be jaded or simply wrong.
You assume much.
Very few are Intelligent enough to survive and prosper under Anarchy (which is NOT chaos, BTW).
We WILL have a Govt foisted upon us, it's only a question of how hard and for how long!
Anarchy is a state of transition, not a schemata or set of rules or even shared assumptions. It is largely undefinable, so it cannot be sought out as an ideal (which implies a plan/goal - getting an organization together, bent on banning organizations). Anarchy results from strain that overloads a previously functioning system. But like a nervous breakdown in a mind, paralysis is as likely as bold action, as the mind/society is used to having some reference points, which have vanished. The anarchy continues until new reference points are established, which entails a relatively fixed understanding of what we can expect from our interactions with the world. That is knowledge that people seek relentlessly, particularly RE their own lives: 'What will happen? What are the chances?'. So they hate anarchy, generally, and when it appears they will even cooperate with old enemies to vanquish it. It is only vanquished when it is constrained by a shared understanding - a metaphor for a set of rules that define property (this is mine, this is yours) and place some limits on arbitrary power (we agree not to steal from or otherwise abuse one another). Protection of property and self from arbitrary force is central to meaningful liberty, and inconsistent with anarchy. The latter is not localism, or decentralization, or any other laudable goal - at most it's just part of the transition to them.
"If you are too selfish and lazy to work and don't care who dies and starves..."
FAIL.
Although the did describe the corporatocracy in a nutshell.
And yes, take THEIR Iphone and tears would be an understatement.
Corporate+ wall st. revolution begun 30 years ago to make labor into slaves. yes many died, but corporations finally have achieved personhood, elites have the widest income inequiality an wall st have bonuses from bail out funds. Yes Revolution has been a massive success for the elite 0.01%!
"elites have the widest income inequiality an wall st have bonuses from bail out funds. Yes Revolution has been a massive success for the elite 0.01%"
The bail out funds were paid back now weren't they, and in fact was the greatest return on capital, in absolute terms, in the history of the country.
But, proceed bitching Hux.
The funds were paid back? By whom to whom? Federal Reserve MEMBER Banks (like Citi,JPM and a few others) paying back the Treasury Department or the Federal Reserve? It is a shell game to confuse us.
Obama told you they paid them all back? Obam a told you taxpayers got a great deal on GM to bail out the UAW. GM paid it all back in the IPO. $380 billion to save Citicorp was paid back? I don't think so
No. The Fed is shit, ALL of TV is shit, the govt is ccorrupt, Wall Street is shit like buffet, solyandra and all of these Obama cronies who pay zip for bankrupt companies to get hundreds of millions in tax write offs. See Paulson, Soros, Dell, and a few others who bought Indy Mac after they destroyed it by shorting. Wall Sreet is shit and Soros, OWS financial back, is part of Wall Street. He gets inside information and trades on itplus many other things.
A whole lotta trolls on this thread.
I ran into a guy on a previous thread who was harping on the "hypocrisy" at OWS. It made no sense at the time, but it fell into place when I saw this video.
The troll wars are on.
Note the heavy action on the hypocrisy of the hippies.
So bailing out the banksters was money well spent eh Tater? Yeah right.
When Stan O'Neal, the boss of Merrill Lynch, destroyed the company in the subprime mortgage crash of 2008, he got a $US161.5 million severance package funded by the American taxpayer and he now sits on the board of Alcoa.
You think that prick has any intention of paying us back even one cent of our money?
Fuck you and your bankster buddies Tater.
The funds were NOT paid back in full. Do your DD please.
This shit is about to go VIRAL. hahaha Ton of reposts on youtube and FB already. Keep it up.
Going to go viiral. If there was a market in that I would be all in.
why is this video set as "private" on YouTube ?
is there anything which needs to be hidden from public ?
"is there anything which needs to be hidden from public ?"

F**k America (the government and 99% who are apathetic sheeple), a true evil of our time.
You ignorant jackass. Maybe you would have preferred to live under Stalin, Mao, or Pol Pot? They only killed aout 60 million of their own people.
Let's keep things in perspective here, folks.
There were a few key times the elites seized power.
Civil War, 1919 Federal Reserve, FDR shit during the depression, 1950s the advent of mass mind control (TV) which controls the dumb sheep, 1971 off the gold standard and a few others.
They got their hooks in bankrolling the civil war and probably before that. European banking familes with their agents Morgan and Rockefeller.
Ah Funky Boy, there are not so many apathetic sheeple as you think. For every apathetic, there is a pathetic one also. Take heart.
I believe that you are wrong.
That was brilliant!
United States is the biggest hypocrite in the world and in world's known history.
Everything that its government and its top corporations say is a lie. EVERYTHING.
This latest accusation against Iran is a total fabrication. They can get away with it because its lamestream media is the biggest Orwellian tool ever perfected.
Don't be a jackass. Yes we have a federal government that can't stop lying, but if you think this is the most hypocritical country in world history you are an ignorant Fucktard. There are 100 million dead people in many communist and formerly communist countries that would have loved to have your problems. Only they got murdered by their governments.
Cue in the 'bash the hippies' contingent as soon as they finish watching O'Reilly.
Do you watch TV at all? If so you are a moron and just as bad as anyone who watches RINO phony O'Reilly. ALL TV is shit and you are a moron if you watch it.
That's funny, you remind me of him.
Totally agree.
The 'old' story;
"Do as I say. Not what I do!"
Sometimes things are exactly what they appear to be - no hidden agenda. I'm hoping OWS is it. I hope this thing continues to build until TPTB get as tired trying to contain it as the 99% have been tired trying to come to terms with the squid that sucked them dry of jobs, houses, and hope for a decent future.
If this vid does not reveal the level of hypocricy in this government, nothing ever will.
Ron Paul. Quit the race for an office that will not allow you the power for change. Look at Obama. Useless. Leave the party system behind and embrace OWS as a ready-made platform for the agenda to End the Fed. Offer yourself up as a leader to a movement that does justice to the word "revolution". Sure, it's not perfect. But it's the best chance to shine a light on the corruption and end the madness of a broken system.
Disobey.
Over at Counterpunch HardLeft Mike Whitney has just endorsed Ron Paul over Obama. I think a L/R populist alliance may be developing here.
Video opens with 30 sec of bad breath.
Great.
