Atlas was permitted the opinion that he was at liberty, if he wished, to drop the Earthand creep away; but his opinion was all he was permitted.--Franz Kafka

i have 15 kids and somebody is going to pay me for these children.........

what happens to people like this in the new world that is coming?

mtomato2's picture

Wow, HPD.  A good fiction writer couldn't make that stuff up.  Beyond my wildest nightmares.

I wonder how a conversation might go?

Single Mom:   "I have 15 kids and somebody is going to pay me for these children........."

Reasonable Person:  "Do you know where babies come from?"

S.M. :  SHO I know where babies comes from!

R.P. :  Have you ever engaged in sexual intercourse?

S.M. :  You KNO I have, FOOOO!"

R.P. : So, you realize that all these kids came from a choice YOU made...

S.M. : Whatchoo tryin' to SAY, heah?

R.P. : Well, I'm suggesting, in the gentlest way I know how, that since you vouluntarily produced these children, and decided that to give them up for adoption was not a direction you felt was feasible, then you should probably be the one who is responsible for caring for the children and seeing to their financial, nutritional and educational stability.  Not someone else..."

What does she respond?  Anyone?

While European bonds are gagging maggots, I'm watching for a U.S. Treadury auction that digs up a turd, instead of a turnip. The movers and shakers earned all the trouble they get.

Did you say, "U.S. Treachery auction?"

Fucking Megalomaniac bernanke!

4. Megalomania

I hide myself inside the shadows of shame
The silent symphonies were playing their game
My body echoed to the dreams of my soul
This god is something that I could not control

Where can I run to now?
The joke is on me
No sympathizing god is insanity, yeah
Why don't you just get out of my life, yeah?
Why don't you just get out of my life now?
Why doesn't everybody leave me alone now?
Why doesn't everybody leave me alone, yeah?

Obsessed with fantasy, possessed with my schemes
I mixed reality with super-rod dreams
The ghost of violence was something I seen
I sold my soul to be the human obscene

How could this poison be
The dream of my soul
How did my fantasies take complete control, yeah?
Why don't you just get out of my life, yeah?
Why don't you just get out of my life now?
Why doesn't everybody leave me alone now?
Why doesn't everybody leave me alone, yeah?

Well I feel something's taken me I don't know where
It's like a trip inside a separate mind
The ghost of tomorrow from my favorite dream
Is telling me to leave it all behind
Feel it slipping away, slipping in tomorrow
Got to get to happiness, want no more of sorrow

How I lied, went to hide
How I tried to get away from you now
Am I right if I fight?
That I might just get away from you now
Sting me!

Well I feel something's giving me the chance to return
It's giving me the chance of saving my soul
Beating the demigod, I'm fading away
I'm going backwards but I'm in control
Feel it slipping away, slipping in tomorrow
Getting back to sanity, providence of sorrow

Was it wise to disguise
How I tried to get away from you now
Is there a way that I could pay
Or is it true I have to stay with you now?

How I lied, went to hide
How I tried to get away from you now
Am I right if I fight?
That I might just get away from you now
Suck me!

I'm really digging schizophrenia the best of the earth
I've singed my soul in the fires of hell
Peace of mind eluded me, but now it's all mine
I simply try, but he wants me to fail
Feel it slipping away, slipping in tomorrow
Now I've found my happiness, providence of sorrow

No more lies, I got wise
I despise the way I worshipped you yeah
Now I'm free, can't you see
And now instead I won't be led by you now

Hitler or Bernake?

Ayn Rand must be rolling in her grave, good book though

Zaphod B.'s picture

That book is as important as a towel.

For those of you who dont know what i mean and want a taste of it, google "francisco's money speech"

Refute any word of it....

That speech sums it all up for me.....because time IS running out, and interest rates are the price of time

mtomato2's picture

I've read the book three times, and this speech many more times than that.  I was going to junk you and tell you why, in my opinion that you were full of shit.  Then I realized how important towels are.  And then it occurred to me that you were probably referring to the viral and now-infamous "towel feeding frenzy" video, which would imply that towels are, in fact, the most important things on the face of the EARTH...  And then I realized YOU thought towels were actually important, TOO...

So, no junks, and a X1000 for you.

Viva Francisco.  But I'm still a Rearden man, myself.

Zaphod B.'s picture

Wet a towel, put copy of atlas shrugged in it and you have a deadly weapon if swung wildly about...suffice it to say it could catch a bullet or two.

Francisco is okay, I'm more a fan of Ragnar Djanneskold...wrecking shit is much more fun that lecturing liberals holding cocktail weenies

Since Bernanke is one of the Olligarchs shouldn't this be the taxpaying US citizen who is going to pay for the bailout via rampant inflation?  Still a cool pic.

The ultimate conspiracy theory!

The lawsuit that could end the gangster rule of Western civilization

A lawsuit was filed today (November 23rd US time) that could end the secret government that has ruled Western civilization for at least the past 300 years. The lawsuit claims that close to $1 trillion was stolen by, among others, UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and the UN, former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and the Italian government, Giancarlo Bruno and the Davos World Economic forum and others believed to include many of the owners of the US Federal Reserve Board. The lawsuit was filed in New York by Neil Keenan, acting as representative of the Dragon family, a reclusive group of wealthy Asian families. This filing is the result of extensive evidence gathering by international police and law-enforcement agencies including Interpol, the CIA, the Japanese Security Police, Eastern European secret services and has the backing of the Pentagon as well as the armed forces of Russia and China.

The lawsuit has been filed as Civil Action #8500 at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on November 23, 2011.

Silicone implants come in all shapes and sizes these days.  With all that policy making and printing to do, who has time for the gym?

williambanzai7's picture

Obama got two frontal lobe implants.

Jena's picture

I was thinking that he got some of the frontal lobe tissue removed -- explains that blunted emotion, "not very into us" thing with humanity.

On the other hand, just out of curiousity I wonder if total cerebral hemisphere implants are available.  It'd be less messy.

It needs "pepper spray cop" somewhere.  You can't have fiat currency without pepper spray and police brutality.

At this point it pays to start thinking about building an Ark.

Fazzie's picture

Now thats funny!!!  Of course a college grad flippin burgers part time paying 4 bucks a gallon for gas as a result of Bens genorosity to the bankers of Euroland should be under the Bernanke holding up both the most powerful man in the world and the world itself!

BTW today wasnt just a shock and awe purely from the FED, CNBC of course dutifully handled the propaganda leg of the mission, assuring the sheeple that the action was critical (without admitting to any economic weakness of course) and by no means a giveaway to bankers. No mention of course of commodity price spikes as well as dutifully parroting the economic data without digging into any nasty details of the multiple sigma deviations from the mean.

Great work WB, I dont mean to rant and hijack, your stuff is getting better and presents a stark truth hidden under the layers of lipstick of what has become of capitalism and more importantly the liberties of the individual.  A person with a 5 second atention span can grasp the essential reality of whats really happening. Thats the people we need to not so much enlighten, but simply awake them from their ignorance. I am a reformed sheep myself. I wasnt stupid, I just never cared about the Fed and such boring crap until the meltdown and was amazed at how different my beliefs were to the actual facts.

williambanzai7's picture

Unfortunately the vast majority have been busy fighting over game units and $2 towels at Walmart.

I spent a great deal of time reading Phillip K Dick when I was a kid and I have to tell you, the man was a prophet. Watch the Running Man, that is the crowd.

Gully Foyle's picture

He is amongst my faovrite authors. Ever read any Charles Stross? Pretty good grasp on what is on the way.

I discovered this gem of a documentary series from BBC

All Watched Over By Machines Of Loving Grace

It discusses Rand, Greenspan, the bank scams from the 90's on, and how computers were expected to liuberate us. Lots of ties to Rand and Silicon valley.

Well worth the watch. It implies the type of social network controll we are starting to see arise.

the grateful unemployed's picture

All Watched Over By Machines Of Loving Grace is a poem by Richard Brautigan. He envisions a cyber meadow where humans return to their mammal nature. (the poet raises the question a few times) and there is some irony that science relieves of the need to think and act in scientific or rational terms. beause of science we can beleive any creation myth we want : see the correlation between the use of technology and the rise of religious fundamentalism. one allows the other.

Greenspan Shrugged's picture

I just watched the documentary you recommended "all watched over by machines of loving grace" and found it to be exactly as what you said, a gem.  I also recommend the documentary titled "the warning" which is about brooksley born's battle with greenspan and the treasury.

On a side note, in the 1970's a man by the name of John Todd came out talking about the book Atlas Shrugged.  He claimed that this was a book of insider esoteric knowledge of how the Illuminati planned to destroy the world.  I find it interesting how one of Ayn Rand's disciples grew up to become the so called most powerful man in the world only to push us further into an unrecoverable mess.

williambanzai7's picture

Yes, I saw that. The whole series is great.

Forward History's picture

The Running Man was actually a Steven King (written as Richard Bachman) novel. But spot-on and accurate about the crowd. Bread and circuses and playstations.

Johnny G.'s picture

Don't forget white iPhones and that Johnny Depp has a new Pirates movie out this summer.

williambanzai7's picture

I must be thinking of another one of his movies or books. But that crowd in running man is perfect, it has that PKD future is now feel.

I also think about Neal Stephensons Snow Crash.

Silver Pullet's picture

Were you thinking of Blade Runner?

Gully Foyle's picture

Steinbeck has the best descriptions of crowd menatlity. Read East of Eden for his description of the twonspeople turning on German residents during WW1.

“After a while you'll think no thought the others do not think. You'll know no word the others can't say. And you'll do things because the others do them. You'll feel the danger in any difference whatever-a danger to the crowd of like-thinking, like-acting men...Once in a while there is a man who won't do what is demanded of him, and do you know what happens? The whole machine devotes itself coldly to the destruction of his difference. They'll beat your spirit and your nerves, your body and your mind, with iron rods until the dangerous difference goes out of you. And if you can't finally give in, they'll vomit you up and leave you stinking outside--neither part of themselves, nor yet free...They only do it to protect themselves. A thing so triumphantly illogical, so beautifully senseless as an army can't allow a question to weaken it.”
? John Steinbeck, East of Eden

Read our entire school library collection of Science Friction in one year and used to get razzed all the time about having 'Dick' on the book covers(it was grade school). Great stuff though. There were a lot of forward-thinking people writing 'fiction' back then which is now some people's reality. Keep up the great work WB!

Are you kidding's picture

I believe they were $'s what made them such a good deal!

Love your stuff BTW.
