The FIX is just about in.
This is NOT the Dirty Thirties. Switzerland is NOT an island anymore. The EU banking sector will consolidate sooner than expected.
The Cold War was scary at times. This financial desaster is neither an Endgame nor Armageddon. Europeans will figure this out and emerge stronger. Sovereignty is a thing of the past. History is full of examples where former sovereign entities chose to consolidate their powers and align themselves.
One world government and currency may be a century down the road. If it makes sense, why not? We are all humans, we breathe air, we drink water and we eat and sleep the same more or less. Why wouldn't we use the same method of payment or have the same currency to conduct our business?
When did the UN start paying trolls to post comments on ZH ?
Human nature demands tension and competition to avoid outright tyrannical domination. Nation states are not perfect, but putting one group of people in charge of the world's currency and armies is not just misguided, it is criminal intent.
Consider yourself junked.
So the goal of humanity is to put more and more power into a smaller and smaller set of hands in very far distant lands to control us?
Yeah that works just great. No thankyou, I would prefer dangerous Liberty over secure slavery.
Our populations have grown exponetially so instead we should balkanize these bitches.
Local government is the most representative, governments should be reduced to more local levels.
Bond yields are crashing again.
Oh boy, oh boy. How does the financial system survive this year?
The Fed is out of ammo or will they print up 2 trillion for the banks to recapitalize.
The whole system on the verge of self-destruction. Libor has been moving up for months
Got IMF SDRs?
I think the currency war is just a symptom of political forces trying to extricate themselves from years of telling people that they can have their cake and eat it too.
All cake and no responsibility leads Jack to create irresponsible banking systems that eventually take his cake away.
Currency war 'coming up'? We've been in one for years.
That's what I was going to say. You beat me to it.
As all the fiat fight to the death at the CB corrall, the last ones standing will be the PM brothers. With more and more countries either expropriating mines or buying 100% of all production, how will the sheeple get some? Better get it now folks; the gold and silver windows will be closing soon.
Reggie came up with this chart first 2 years ago. Just copying it and putting your name above it with anything extra to say = Lame.

It looked familiar....good catch.
DEJA VUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
It will come down to He who has the gold, rules. Everyone else will just be a bit player.
He who has the food........ Dinty Moore bitchez!
And a good Swing-a-Way can opener..!!
Dinty Moore cans have pop tops now. Didn't you get the memo?
a true dat. Maybe yu know what yu sayin, maybe not...but for those wat need a know, dis be da real deal: man not gonna let yu keep yur shit. Got gold? Leave Amerika now...currency controls...zero minus 9.8.7.6...wait...I know, can't happen here!?!?
Sorry.
'You gonna come back around
To the sad, sad truth, the dirty lowdown'
great chart
should i say bitchez or is that only for pm bugs
You may say it. :-)
we,re in the midst of a currency war. Currency wars historically seen often lead to real wars. Platinum, silver and mining stocks look cheap
This is not currency war. This is currency orgy. In the Rear of the Enemy
The thing is, this whole "race to the bottom" hinges on oil prices *not* super-spiking. IMHO, that's the event that will ultimately bring this whole ponzi charade crashing down.
Juicing one's exports with currency debasement works only until you lose control of oil prices... and then all bets are off. If there's one thing that keeps Bernanke awake at night, its the prospect of $5 gas at the pump. (Try QE'ing into that, motherfucker.)
Markets have to be allowed to crash at that point -- because there's nothing else the oligarchy can do....... except of course, invade Iran or Venezuela ... which is the other possibility...
That's why they are called hedge funds! It comes in all of a sudden. From out of the Hedge! And its not a ZERO! More like an alpha I
WHat bugs me in the diagram is the caption "We are here!" If its two years old then we've certainly been HERE before!
RE : the post above (or below) and Iran: After Libya they could be next on the list!....Hot winter in store...Oil patch on fire and its NOT global warming à la AL GORE; more in line with GWB and Rumsfeld!
My sentiments as well Falak. Interesting to see how this hot winter plays out, maybe a premium on water shortly? Interesting how no one is talking about that, now Cat 4, hurricance just south of Bermuda. Lots of potential energy that need to go somewhere. Where is the bloody windfarm already? (snark)
