Here is a link to a better description of the picture and the artist.    I just used the other link as a quick reference to how I came to know of the picture.  There is nothing particularly important about any of this except that  I had only gotten the calender a few days ago and it was a surprise to see the image again and so unexpectedly when your post opened up.

And if the enemies of america were the americans themselves; in paranoid snake eat tail convolution?

I don't think the notion of "enemy" is a good one to begin with, as it invites the deeper,  more meaningful question (IMO) : are you worth defending?

"My country right or wrong" is self fulfilling philosophy of blind hubris. That is history. So go spit at it all you like.

Great blog post, Buckaroo!!!

On a more somber note, last weekend I happened to read four books, three the typical mishmash of lame excuses, or smoky stuff, some of it containing an above-average anecdote, or datum, but none of the three having any idea of really who was to blame, more that either we are all to blame, or everyone is blameless!

Except one:  a tribute to real authentic American --- or any country with such --- investigative journalism backed up with detailed research of the most excruciatingly tedious, but righteous, kind!

That would be Retirement Heist, by WSJ investigative reporter (the real kind, not one of those Wannabe Stenographers like at the NY Times, WaPo, Lax Times, ext.): Ellen Schultz!

http://www.amazon.com/Retirement-Heist-Companies-Plunder-American/dp/1591843332

The other three, one would probably be advised to skip (Lanchester's IOU, Lynn's Cornered, and Mallaby's More Money Than God: Hedge Funds blah..blah..blah CFR Press, so it excludes Markit Group, Phibro, InterContinental Exchange, and other bankster paraphenalia...)

MY POINT?  With the exception of Ms. Schultz, who names the pertinent names regarding specific corporate thievery, nobody in America appears to know WHO OWNS ANYTHING!!!

Now, this may seem arcane to some, as no one in this country has been concerned for many years, at least not in the Corporate Myth-Media (as real media has long since ceased to exist), as to the ownership of JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, BofA, Goldman Sachs, the oil companies and so on......

See, as long as nobody actually realizes who the money guys are, no one is the wiser.

Sure, those of us who are self-aware realizing that at the time of the bankster consolidation, stock ownership would have shown that Merrill Lynch, then borged into Bank of America, owned the majority share of BlackRock (given contract to oversee bailouts by then NY Fed Chair Geithner, and later renewed by Treasury Secretary Geithner), who in turned appeared to be majority owner of Monsanto.

That changed awhile back, but did it???

One would again need to trace the circuitous stock ownership, and interlocking stock ownership, to be sure.

We know that the original financing behind the Markit Group (prices credit derivatives) was JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Bank of America.

We do know that the original financing (and I suspect still real ownership) of InterContinental Exchange (ICE), and ICE Futures, ICE Clear, etc., were Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, BP, Royal Dutch/Shell, et al.

Recently, it was announced that Northrop Grumman was building an autonomous drone (an AI-type UAV, or UCAV -- as in Unmanned Combat Airborne Vehicle), but who owns Northrop Grumman?

Should we be concerned who the next real SKYNET is?

[Hint: after tracking through 27 to 37 holding companies and offshore finance centers, it appeared the majority ownership was the Bush family and their consigliore, James Baker.  But that too, may have changed???]

[last heard from this ostensibly omnipotent Baker, Emperor of Oil, were such words as have long since given up the ghost: We have not recommended a "stay the course" solution. In our opinion, that approach is no longer viable . . .

Given the central importance of the Arab-Israeli conflict to many countries both in and out of the region, the United States must again initiate active negotiations to achieve a stable Arab-Israeli peace on all fronts in the manner we outline in the Report*

The biggest swindle in history 401k and IRA plans.  Why?

Have the workers buy stock company's so that become stockholders and preach for nearly 50 years the end of SS is near.

Encourage 'diversified' funds to speard the impact.  Encourage beta funds for 'improved' returns.  Encourage buy/sell transactions.  Greed is good, the new motto.

Encourage wall street to pressure the improve on stockholder return, and in turn the stockholders demand better return.  Squash competition where possible, lobby governmentts to reduce taxes and regulation.  Make America strong, the motto

Move jobs overseas to improve stockholder returns as requested by stockholders and their lobby arm Wall Street.  We will re-invent our selves, America has become a 'Services economy" is the new motto.

And you know the rest.  The jobs are over seas, the US companies are shells able to declare chapter 11 if they wish becauseThe assets are in foreign countries and will never return to America...period.  What is left of the illusion of a 401k and IRA ( and pension funds) value is proped up with tax payer money until there are no more tax payers to pay.

The End.

If any of these players at Davos was really concerned about AMERICA?  The World?  Without high education and a healthy workforce you have a Third World on your hands....maybe that IS what they want until it collaspes down on them as well.

Last year at Davos the central bwankers blamed everybody but themselves ..they said they could promote easy/loose credit (debt) but it was down to the private sector to take up the batton (of debt) and run with it

Of course no bwanker would have the remotest idea what the private sector wanted outside the pickled in Gin back-slapping guffing club that is banking because they listen to nobody but the bounce-back from the vanity mirror on their wall so they wouldn't have the fuking clue if their policies would be taken up by the private sector

this is monetary policy akin to pissing in a hurricane without checking the wind direction . . . Davos is clearly a meeting place for the globes village idiots

Davos is missing its star performer Blowjob Ben this year. Blowjob is just about to unleash on an unsuspecting, unprepared and unconsulted world The Era of Bernanke Bubblenomics

Easily the most socio-economically dysfunctional and deranged orgy of counterfeit wealth printing in human history. Blowfelt Ben is going to back(stop) the World

It's the exact same policy as QE1 (failed), QE2 (failed), QE Lite (failed) and Operation Twist (failed). It's going to be called something as egually smalmy and disengenuous as "Quantatative Easing" (money printing in plain language which Benny hates to use because he's a slimy little lying toady ...and of course the slimebag has to keep renaming it because it's the same fuking policy that's failed 4 times already dressed up as something different. Which it ain't. But the Fed only has one policy power/option: the printer. The Fed is a 1 trick pony/donkey)

Bernanke Bubblenomics will not only fail, because it's failed for the past 4 years, and indeed has been the root cause of The Feds total failure for 40, even 70, years to promote sound money policies... Blowjob Ben is once again looking for the easy way out (print) to the systemic problem his Fed is absolutely responsible for... Bubblenomics

The lunatics have taken over the asylum... The Fed is the problem, not the solution. Welcome to the final, all-in, high risk play of the deranged mad Bernanke and his mindless fuking bubble blowing .today America, tomorrow the world.. why not eh Blowjob?

As for your question about WB's calendar, 'Where are the chicks?' ...

It is true that William Banzai does sneak in some sexy nearly-nude girls, often Asian beauties, into his ZeroHedge political art postings, especially his 'Visual Combat' tag pieces.

But for a daily calendar, you might try the daily online video of the Taiwan Weather Girls ... they have a version in English, a brief dance in skimpy outfits while day's USA cities weather forecast appears on the screen ... they change costumes every month, some months they are really eye-catching, as you can see from the images peppering the homepage below - Sadly, they don't yet do a European version.

Davendra Banhart - Some People Ride the Wave

Some people ride the wave of generosity
Some people ride the wave of mediocrity
Me I ride the wave of never gonna drown
Oh just fooling around
Now I gots the balloons
And you you gots the mud
And me I gots the snail
And you you gots the stuff
Well you got so much more than I figure was in store
Oh I ain't foolin no more
Now some people ride the cat when asleep or when awake
Some people ride a cat for riding a cat's sake
Me I ride this cat cause its claws have got my eyes
I'll get 'em back in a few more tries
Oh I'll get 'em back in a few more tries
Some people ride the books that tenderize their names
Some people ride the books that bastardize our claims
Me I ride the book that's sifting in the sand
Aw, some day I'll understand
Aw, some day I'll understand
Some people ride the songs that stay inside our souls
Some people ride the songs that really ain't songs at all
Me I ride the song that ends right when it starts
They'll split before they part
