Here I was gonna give you props for Costa Venizelos, and you top yourself with Lagardes' handbag. The Comfortable are giving you a lot of material to Afflict them with - good job!
« So powerful are a banker's bills, Where creditors demand their due; They break up counters, doors, and tills, And leave the empty chests in view. ...
A baited banker thus desponds, From his own hand foresees his fall. They have his soul, who have his bonds; ‘Tis like the writing on the wall. »
“The Run Upon the Bankers”, by Jonathan Swift, 1720
Durant: Is it a villain you want? I'll play the part. After all, what is a drama without a villain? What is the building of this grand road if not a drama? This business is not for the faint of heart. It is a thorny, brutal affair that rewards the lion for his ferocity. But what of the zebra? What of the poor zebra? Well, the zebra's eaten, as the zebra should be. Make no mistake, blood will be spilled, lives will be lost, fortunes will be made. There will be patrail and scandals, and perfidy of epic proportions, but the lion - shall - prevail! You see, the secret I know is this. All of history is driven by the lion. We drag the poor zebra, kicking and braying, staining the earth with its cheap blood. History doesn't remember us fondly, but then history is written by the zebra for the zebra. One hundred years hence, when this railroad spans the continent, and America rises to be the greatest power the world has seen, I will be remembered as a caitiff, a malefactor, a lone wolf who operated out of greed for pure personal gain. All true, all true, but remember this: without me and men like me, your glorious railroad would never be built.
I suspect that if it were the IMF (Which normally takes over its clients budget process) rather than Germany, the press might be rather different. Greece got itself into this mess by profligate spending and shows no willingness to enact fundamental reforms. WIthout adequate controls, who would lend another EUR 140 Billion to Greece? The only solution would seem to be Greece solving its own problems (perhaps) via a good old-fashioned default. Then we'll see how Germany and its Banksters play the next hand?
The whole point of the EU - a French invention - like the pre-1914 Entente encirclement, and the post WW I Locarno arrangement, was to keep Germany "under control". Whatever ensues, Germany will soon be running Europe. How much simpler - and less tragic - it would have been to allow German preponderance in Europe to begin with.
... or a private island maybe, just a little one ;)
But seriously - everybody here dislikes this government, to put it nicely. They are delivering an absurd spectacle. Luckily, a lot of people know, like you do, that being an asshole is not a question of nationality. And politicians are banker puppets - in Germany as well as in every other nation. Iceland gloriously excepted!

Who is culpable, the evil diabolical chef or the insatiable glutton?
I like the subtitle as much as the graphics William.

I set a high bar for myself. This is not about doing self promoting street art so it winds up in an LA gallery. ;-)
A bar which you constantly exceed with your good work.
A suggestion: A country's Sovereignty and Virginity sound similar and have backgrounds and effects?

Cut a little more the salaries, throw in a few more taxes, and the Greeks are going to welcome German occupation pretty soon.
Until the Germans go under as well.

Baht sir, eet eez wwwwahffer theen!
That's a pretty pathetic looking bag to be schlepping around the world begging for another 500 billion.
Must be pretty bad at the IMF if she can't afford a Louis Vuitton or Versace.
Sad looking cargo as well ;-)
.......Sad looking cargo as well.
No argument there, wish it was just their severed heads she had in that bag, which does remind me of the oat bag
I use to feed my horses out of when I was a kid.

1720 = 2012. South Sea Bubble + Mississippi Bubble = CDS + Soverign Debt
That is great! There is nothing new about all of this. But we are expected to believe otherwise.
BTW, have you seen who is in Lagardes bag?
Hehe. Her boy toys.
It's always nice when you see an older woman with a bag like that and when you look and then you see, it contains not one puppy dog, but three.
Dog #3 lost both heads?
She's safe. The puppies are neutered.
First one had me laughing out loud. Great work.
Best greetings from evil Germany! (Yeah, we all can't wait to annex broke southern european countries. It's in our blood.)

I don't blame Germans for this fiasco.
However, those who are behind it all do include a ew Germans as well, along with an abundance of Frenchmen.
I realise the disgust that must be roiling the German populace. On the other hand, perhaps you could cut a deal for free yogurt and beach Holidays ;-)

Yes, this has to be viewed as a battle without borders.
The same debtor/creditor narrative is playing out all over the globe, at least the Western most parts.
sorry to bust in again-- I like your stuff and you are the most political of contributers so I will link this on your page-

I hope you don't mind-- if you do please tell me and I'll stop
You should have saved that for my Florida Post which promises to be a doozy by my own standards.
"Debt without Borders."

"BANKERS WITHOUT BORDERS" ..........sorry I had to correct you.
