KLEPTO-CRONY-FRAUDOCRATIC-PONZI-PLUTOPIANISM...

Soon as i saw that headline i thought Banzais doing another toon on Dunkin Doughnuts!

What a surprise when it's just a cheap commercial plug for an over-leveraged paper round for schoolkids with Ivy League parents

Please simplify your headline writing Banzai for the hard-of-reading and easily confused like me.. toon underneath was good though

my gosh that's more authentic looking than Obama's BC. however I think we have him Wm B, I note that he lists his age as 7, but in the fine print it says you must be 12!!! AHA. oh wait that only means he ISN'T liable and his application was robosigned by some piece worker licking envelopes in a Detroit homeless shelter??? well i guess you win again Obama.

Perp Amnesia.     A malady which mysteriously seems to principally strike Wall Street executives.

Adequate research funding to find a cure is estimated to be decades away however.

Just a horrendous socio economic system.

Only has done more for the advancement of mankind than all the rest combined doubling the lifespan of the species in three generations-BOL replicating that with any other organism.

To the point that obese folks who own cars and homes are now called "poverty stricken."

Where the bottom 1% live in the to 1/10000th of 1% of historical humanity.

But I can understand how confusing it all is, peering down from ivory towers always seems to distort the view-they still haven't figured out up there-a country needs: food, fuel, banking system and a military and not much else-certainly not 15,000 agencies doling out social welfare.

Otherwise keep up the super sharp work and regal us with more tales of first class flights, five star suites sipping lattes discussing the future of the ants.

Little Johnny has indebted himself with student loans over $60 Grand to get a social science degree...or history......etc

Hopefully he can be happy discussing the rise and fall of civilizations, the vikings, King Henvy VIII, etc or social policies with his co-workers at Walmart or McD's while he tries to repay the mega loans with his minimum wages. I am not sure our society values any degree anymore except business?!

However, there is a very persuasive argument put forward in the book A Whole New Mind, that fine arts majors are in certain important respects better prepared to cope in this tough new environment than Finance MBAs.

They are warned to expect a tough life, they are trained in various physical crafts and they are innovative.

Hello Corzine (Hashed from the Super Furry Animal's song "Hello Sunshine")

So easy to say good bye - meaning it today

I've said good bye before - Leaving you alone

By the Jersey Shore.......

Good bye Corzine, you came into my life

Good bye Corzine, you gave me lots of strife

In honesty its been a while

Since we had reason left to smile

Good bye Corzine. give him 10 to life

Funds comingled, cash withdrawn and moved.

To the Bermuda Islands or a bank in Thun

In honesty its been a while

Since we had reason left to smile

Good bye Corzine. give him 10 to life

Giants

Wait till you see my next post...I used to think of the Robber Barons as the mighty titans of Wall Street swindling, but durng these past few years I have finally decided that we are living in the true Golden Age of Fraud. There is no comparison when you look at the magnitude of what has happened, even on a relative basis.

Teddy swung the broadsword here, back in 1904, but WB7, you are the visual combat "Jack" of the modern age. I would say "Keep them coming," but I don't have to: we both know that in this day and age, source material is essentially limitless.

This is a perfect example of why I like the old stuff so much. Modern cartoons for the most part latch onto one basic piece of humor. These old satirical illustrations are multidimensional. You can stare at them and get lost. That kind of visual trance is when people are truly persuaded. The message becomes indelible because you can experience the concept from so many different perspectives.

Yes, I love that one. It's 1797, Britain is at war with revolutionary France, hence the red capped opposition MPs, including Charles Fox , dressed as Jacobins in the rushes, the French fleet gathered in Brest waiting to invade and the ghostly hordes, all to the left, in the sky. William Pitt the younger is Prime Minister and there is a run on the Bank of England so he brings in smaller denomination notes (I think £5) for the first time. The stock Market cheers as he shits out paper (somethings never change) I don't know who all the figures on the right are but the first, in red, is George III.

This truly is the age of fraud. I wrote the only biography of Harry Reid, who is up to his eyeballs in sleazy deals (City Center, DesertXpress, G-Sting). It's all right out of the movie Casino. Except now Harry is the Majority Leader of the Senate. I thought I was going to get whacked.

I know Reid's campaign manager from the 70s who picked up bags of cash from pimp Joe Conforte of the Mustang Ranch, who was mob connected and buying off other politicians. It went downhill from there.

Our whole system is now infested with these crony socialists. http://www.futurnamics.com/reid.php

It's difficult to predict which direction WB7 is going to go in. Sweet wholesome apple pie comforting familiarity with sharp sour satire.

Roy Lichtenstein with more meaning.
