Yeah, there won't be any fraud with a national infrastructure bank. No fees to their friends, certainly no favorable terms to certain parties who support their program.
What a crock. I am no fan of the banks but a govt run bank doling out billions, you have to believe in the tooth fairy, easter bunny and santa to believe this won't be just another corrupt govt run program. Patronage, the hand that keeps on giving.
Colossal ego. Why not totally bypass the other branches of govt? Just another example of "if I were King". There is SUPPOSED to be tension and conflict between the branches of governement. Eliminating that tension leads to tyranny make no mistake about it.
you hit it, the founding fathers would like this. when there's healthy disagreement about issues its much less likely that bad bills get passed into law. one blogger i talked with said she had been chosen to read Bushes Meidcare D bill, and she a was very intelligent person, but she threw her hands up and said, its indecipherable. they want me to evaluate it?
I said thats the plan, bills are written in such a way that no one can understand them, then they are offered up for debate, and the legislative body is naturally split, 50/50, then you send your political operatives and lobbyists out to swing the other 5% over, with bribes and earmarks and blackmail. the bill passes 55/45. once this incomprehensible bill is law their lawyers go to work interpreting the bill.

Obama's probably moreso controlled than the congress. There's only one of him. I'm sure the control probably comes with carrots and sticks. If you don't take the carrot, they will show you the stick.
They work hard all the time to do the exact wrong thing for the majority of the people of this country, just serving their masters. It will come to revolution, or it will come to a day that we are all afraid to post here, afraid to show anything that disagrees with those in power.

They have whittled congress down to 12 for all further serious or controversial decisions, so Dylan is basically calling for a dictatorship. your point is definitely well worth considering. but one thing i think we can agree on is that tyranny is not limited to despotic regimes. once it is embedded in the body politic, no matter what form of government, it's incredibly difficult to shake off. question is: what's the best way to shake it that causes the least amount of human suffering?
Sometimes I wonder about GW. He doesn't really seem to know what's going on. Maybe he just follows his emotions. I will praise him for keeping the GOM and Fukashima in the limelight.

Everybody who watches this extraordinary speech by Dylan Ratigan, should absolutely, whole-heartily, without reservation of any kind, agree with what he said.
And everybody who does agree with everything that was said also desires to see Michelle pick up what is left of Obama's brains from the columns of the portico behind which Obama is making that speech that Dylan so wants him to make.
For let's face it....the bankstas will get wind of this speech before it happens and will have a "cleaner" at the ready....of course having a suitable "patsy" to take the fall and give cover to said "cleaner"

sorry but i have to call bullshit on this one. if o knows this, all he's got to do is make everyone else aware of it as well in the first lines of his speech. it's called letting the cat out of the bag. and why does anyone need to be aware of it before it's made? he's been known to write his own speeches before (or so we've been led to believe). and the public has gotten a little more wise to the Game since 1963, including & especially his base. they would not let the whole 'patsy' trick to be played without one hell of a burning Brixton moment. of course, the 'bankstas' know this too, and so does mr. o. it's his ace in the hole.

I had to laugh when Ratigan agreed that the president has to take the initiative to get the money out of politics. Who funded his campaign and who is funding his campaign for 2012?
No, he never had any intention of doing anything else than going on junkets, playing golf, and turning his back on his campaign rhetoric. I have a hard time thinking he is not consciously following in the footsteps of Carlos Menem of Argentina. In my post below, if you don't watch the whole film, at least watch the part where Menem shouts five times to the assembled masses, "I will not betray you!", the Argentinian version of Hope and Change. Immediately after taking office turned his back 180 degrees on his campaign promises. (There's also a nice scene in which Menem can be seen on the golf course.) When you see that, you see clearly how Obama must have had the same thing in mind throughout his campaign. He and his enablers had schooled themselves in advance. As somebody else had commented, there is no way the draconian austerity measures that are about to be imposed on middle class Americans could be imposed absent a Democratic congress and a Democrat in the White House.

That's a good question--the electorate willing its own demise. How do you explain that? That old snake in the tree thing, the Jungian shadow-self, a wished for catharsis...? I don't see Americans as any different. Obama certainly had charisma during his campaign. Perhaps deep down, we can't stand the phony reality we've created for ourselves and we instinctively know the sociopath who is about to slit our throats will end the charade.

Used to watch Dylan when he was doing reporting for Bloomberg business -- someone ripped his blinders off! -- I gotta agree with a lot of other folks here: How is it that TPTB have not silenced him? Not that that would be a good thing by any stretch...

The clarity and verocity that he spoke with is how every American should and needs to be.......... demanding the truth and change from their elected officials. The title almost says it all..... "Mad as Hell".....it just needs to include the phrase..... "and I'm NOT going to Take IT Any Longer!" My blood has been boiling for years and I've been trying to get people to wake up to see the real world and change the basis by which they view the world...... to no avail. It's crazy how everyone just clings to the idea of one party or the other party......its this issue or that issue..... There was a document created awhile ago....it's called the Constitution and it helped form a Country and a Republic. We need to get back to the vision of Our Country and clean our House of all the Dirty Laundry... period.

A majority of the American people for whatever reason are not capable of recongizing, nor do they want to hear the truth. There is not enough pain in the system yet at a national level, for the desire for change to hit the tipping point.
It is not a matter of educating them or giving them information. Mr. Ratigan's information has been a matter of publlic knowledge for a long time now. Hundreds of blogs and some in MSM have presented this information and yet the American people still do not want to hear it, cannot connect the dots, or simply can't be bothered.
All politicians know this. They have willfully sanctioned political segregation for a least 3 generations and have thereby segmented this country into managible groups based on political, religious, economic and racial considerations. Looking at our electorate a reasonalble person would not be faulted for thinking that we as Americans have become ungovernable.
Short of voting every Congressional person out of office and initiating bribery and corruption prosecutions, nothing will change.

If every American (1) watched Ratigan in this video, and (2) took the time to understand what he was saying, The USA would change very very quickly. This guy is the ONLY one in the MSM who seems to be honest about what's happening.
And then Rachael Maddow goes on later and tells everyone the Tea Party and Republicans are the only problem and all you have to do is support Obama. I find it strange that he's still on MSNBC (the Obama channel).
