Uh, use them for welfare housing instead of building thousands of $250k townhomes for the permanent underclass. Welfare housing should be something you strive to move out of, not to make middle class people envious.

The neatest part of the plan is that the entities involved will be broken up (including the FED) to cater to popular sentiment, but the principal actors will get nothing more than a slap on the wrist, despite ultimately receiving all the spoils. I know I always characterize limited liability entities as the fuselage on a rocket, to be jettisoned at the most opportune time, but it really is applicable.
