Jeepers, talk about the spirit of goodwill to mankind. While I thought Reggie's discourse to be pretty plain vanilla common sense, I was surprised by the quality of the questions. Particularly the woman, who seemed to think it was possible for Greece to just say" hold on, no more money, we'll pay when we can".......and then "just carry on paying down their debt"....assumedly  for the next 3000 years....what I am trying to say is if this is a financial reporter, and her understanding of things is representative of a sophisticated segment of the general public...then God help us all.

On a more personal note, I'd stay away from the two tone blue shirts with white collars & cuffs in case people thought I was emulating that clown Jean-Claude Trichet.

Give me a fucking break! My parents live in Greece and i will tell you what is happening to Greece. Greece has high public debt but has of the lowest private debts in Europe! And even the public debt its not that big as the media (ESPECIALLY GERMAN ONES) are screaming hysterically! This was a well organized attack by the banking mafia with the help of corrupted politicians and media  OFC! NOTHING MORE! You cant be serious by telling people that the problem  is Greece and not JAPAN,UK OR USA!

The fact of the matter is, my friend, that Japan, the UK and the USA don't have triple digit yields on their debt. I understand your opinion, but Greece has to sell their debt to somebody, and those somebodies don't seem to be in lockstep with your viewpoint.

Reggie informs us of the fundamentals. The rest, must be derived from a deep understanding of all of the possible political machinations available to the people that most stand to lose from marking their books to market and writing off of the debt that will never be paid from GDP. After that, we have to account for over all investor sentiment which is often influenced by paid pundits on corporate media, and the fact that there are few places to run and people aren't going  to go the mattress just yet. So really, how could anyone accurately predict with any real certainty how long the can will be kicked down the road?

As I've said before, a criminal profiler would help us more than most financial analysts ever could, to determine how the people who stand to lose the most from doing the right thing for the economy at large, will game the system and rewrite the laws to lose the least, and not just lose the least, but actually, profit the most.

Actually, I quite like the information Reggie digs up for analysis. He has proven himself quite prescient on many occasions, and gives thoughtful analysis every time. Does he always get it spot on? No.

Does anyone ever get it right all the time? No.

Therefore, I give credit where credit is due, because Reggie consistently hits more homers than fouls balls.

Keep it coming Reggie.

By the way, I'd like to see the predictions and alalysis from those who would so quickly dismiss Reggies work, all while hiding behind an avatar and pseudonym.

I think Reggie adds a lot to the discussion here on ZH as does Kyle Bass.  I do not agree with every thing he posts but it is thought provoking information.  As far as timing of a "sky is falling" event there is so much distortion created by the TBTF entities incestuous relationship with government that nobody can pin it down with precision.

I continue to hear the sky is falling..I don't necessarily disagree but all the time frame predictions I have read seem to be way off. I guess it will fall when it falls if it falls at all.

Agree, seems to be almost impossible to "invest" much less speculate on macro trends...everyone agrees these numbers suck and are getting worse but if you had shorted the Yen 10 years ago when they passed 100% of GDP you'd be in a soup line now.

Look for a 40% correction this year.

40% being the high side or as kind as I can be.

The National Debt Limit has been reached. You know the one that was supposed to last until next year? the one where no Open market Operations were taking place?

$2 Trillion was spent to maintain a 20+% un-employment number (or 10% if you want to use the Government Number if not try these http://www.shadowstats.com/ ).

The Printing Presses have kept running..

or..

how else did we spend a $1.5 Trillion (ish) in the last few months?

Look! http://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/series/BASE it shows clearly that we are not printing and we are even removing funds from circulation! it shows exactly that.. so? how are we adding $1.5 Trillion and still removing $100b?? that means we had to remove from circulation $1.6 Trillion for this graph to be correct!

so.. to short or not to short?

how about instead.. buy low and sell high?

do you think that the Government is going to stop providing food for 30 to 60 million un-employed Americans?

how about the 48% of Americans who receive some type of Social Safety Net Support? that is almost 150 Million Americans??

let me as you this question..

do you think that forced austerity thru a Government shut down will make people.

Less Hungry _____.

More Hungry _____.

or the same amount of Hungry _____.

than if Government Support were to be cut off in another way?

So, either the Government will print.. or one of the Most Well Armed Countries in the History of the World will be starving.

You may want to consider the very simple things that are over looked by most when deciding on which investment path will be the most fruitful!

I actually know a guy nicknamed Big Mike who jumped from the top of a boxcar on a moving train while high on LSD, and lived to tell about it.

If you want to listen to reggie trying to channel Kyle Bass, be my guest, my comment was directed to reggie, not to you.

I hold Reggie to a higher standard than most.. mostly because Reggie can handle it and Reggie can do better in some cases..

but as for Reggie shutting up?

Reggie shares information to any and all that would listen.. information that could help anyone who listens..

Reggie tries to improve the World thru the use of truth.

Reggie is a stand up guy, Reggie is a salt of the earth kind of guy and Reggie cares about the World and the People in it!

You Bub Ba come in and offer NO! Information!

You Bub Ba offer NO! Facts!

You Bub Ba do NOT! disagree with what Reggie is offering (for Free! the first little bit is free! then you have to pay for the rest as you keep coming back! Reggie is a Dope Dealer.. (the difference being that Reggie's Dope is Good, Quality, Well Researched {out sourced to India} Information and not coke or weed)

You Bub Ba offer NOTHING!

You Bub Ba Should Shut the Fuck Up, BITCH!

until you have something worthwhile to offer to the group.

Huffington Post is -------------------> that way and out the door from here!

if and when you are able to piece together some facts that may in fact help your fellow man.. and you are feeling big hearted enough to want to help your fellow man.. then you come back and we will source and check your facts to see if you are honest? sincere?? or to fucking stupid to help anyone including yourself.

so, in closing.. just because your wife likes to get nailed by black dick and your little white dick aint cutting it any more.. don’t take out your short cumming on Reggie! Reggie did NOT! do it! Reggie is a Family man with a Great Wife as I understand and doesn’t need your very unsatisfied private stock.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wow, did this get heated ...

But 'Bub ba' was trying to say something significant about Reggie's postings. He did not elaborate, but there is indeed a general issue with Reggie's postings here.

Reggie Middleton over-sells, and mostly does not deliver on the titles of his articles, except perhaps for his 'subscribers'.

As a previous poster said, most of Reggie's articles are devoted to 'selling his sh*t', somewhat like the American stereotype of the used car salesman (The Greatest! The Best!) and not providing much content to a ZH reader beyond a few conclusions (which may well be right, but that's beside the point).

Compare Reggie's style to someone like Phil of Phil's Stock World, whose articles are posted courtesy of 'Ilene' ... Phil takes the time to write and share real content and analysis and even some actionable trading ideas with ZH readers. Then he gives a simple link to his own site and offerings at the bottom, very unobtrusive, very high-class. But you can read and enjoy and learn from Phil's articles, without becoming a client. He's funny too.

But Reggie is in your face selling, selling, selling, bragging about himself ... and whenever you think you are at last going to get some background connected with the article title, Reggie usually has nothing more than all his selling links again.

Even MadHedgeFund Trader, though selling as well, at least had some interesting stories and left his pitch for the end of the article, which always did have some content in the text. Sometimes Reggie's postings are just empty except for the sales pitch and the great 'conclusion' that things are going to sh*t (which ZH readers already know).

Reggie's postings on Europe, are the diametric opposite of the superb articles about Europe on ZH that appear from Peter Tchir. Reggie may be 'right' and maybe his 'subscribers' are becoming billionaires, but there's little to see from Reggie's actual text content presented on ZH itself.

And another thing, Reggie supports those criminals at Google Inc. who censor the American internet and help keep tens of thousands of innocent people, including many many thousand of black African-Americans, in prison.

If that great murdered American, the Rev. Dr Martin Luther King, were alive today, I am sure he would tell Reggie to stop betraying his black American brothers, and stop supporting the criminals at Google who have agreed to help the American judges keep tens of thousands of innocent black people in the US prison gulag (Google censors information on court corruption, and the scandals that could free innocent people from prison ... who in the US are often black.)

Like for example, here is Google Inc censoring websites, to try to help murder a refugee from the US, who among many other things, was working to free an innocent black man and French citizen, Léonel Cazaco, from the US prisons ... Google is directly blocking world access to the proof of crimes involving the federal judge who nearly put Cazaco to death, America's 'Judge Robert Payne is my name, Federal bribery is my game', of Virginia USA.

Reggie is, in effect, supporting Google Inc in their attempts to see that another black man, EU citizen Leonel Cazaco dies in prison ... Reggie supporting the company jailing, and indeed helping to murder, other American black people:

Google's censoring of the refugee from the US (whose avatar I stole as a way of honouring him):
