W2.0:Rick Perry Wants To Try Ben Bernanke For Treason

lizzy36's picture

Texas Governor Rick Perry suggested in Iowa today that should Bernanke "print more money" before the election that it would be treason. Treason is a capital offense.

Speaking just now in Iowa, Perry said, “If this guy prints more money between now and the election, I dunno what y’all would do to him in Iowa but we would treat him pretty ugly down in Texas. Printing more money to play politics at this particular time in history is almost treasonous in my opinion.” Treason is a capital offense.

One is not sure if Governor Perry is taking aim at monetary policy here or trying to win over Ron Paul supporters. However, advocating violence against a sitting Federal Reserve Chairman does not really sound all that Presidential.

Someone might also want to remind the Governor that suggesting Texas secede from the Union might also be construed as Treason. But I digress.

I don't know about you gang but I am really looking forward to 16 more months of rhetoric, hyperbole and all things related to the $3B auction, Americans so innocently refer to as the presidential election of 2012

Lizzy,

Texas is the only state in the US that is a state by treaty with the USA. They can leagally leave anytime and it would not be secession but revocation of that treaty. If they did I'd move there in a heartbeat.

I think this is rather the case with the original states too. That is what started the civil war, not slavery, a state wanted to leave because they were being occupied by Feds (which was breaking one of the conditions that they would be a state). A second state was making the same motions and the Feds invaded.

Running Gore's 88 campaign in TX AND being GWB's Lt. Gov as a (D) are going to kill him with the mainstream republicans and the sheeple (I guess that was redundant.)  The Paul folks and Tea Partiers already know the score and are making noise about this moron.  Doesn't Perry know that people don't like Bush anymore?!?!

Being a former Democrat didn't seem to hurt Ronald Reagan...

The Democrat Party dominate Texas politics prior to the 1980s. Nobody should fault Perry for being a Democrat back then.

Bernanke should have been tried for treason long before because of his actions as head of the federal reserve and his support of certain policies while he was a voting member of the fed. (I will add geither to this list). Man his list of crimes is too long tonlist here. We can start with ignoring all the data he was given about the housing bubble and mortgage fraud and not doing anything about it. We can add how while he was saying things were going to be fine, the fed was engaged in secret meetings about what to do with the collapse, we can add the secret fed lending programs to foreign banks at insnae interst rates. we can add crimes against humanity for flooding the system with dollars and driving up the cost of food pushing people into starvation. we can add crimes against the middle class for negative real interest rates that cause us to fall further and furhter behind and never pay off debts. I could go on and on and on.

The OP is out to luch. Perry is wrong on the reasons he should be tried for treason , but it's what should have happened a long time ago

I'm wondering if I will:

1. Go crazy because of all the lies and unkept campaign promises that will be made.

2. Become numb and be able to ignore the whole shit show.

3. Not have to worry because this thing will go super nova before there is an actual staged election.

4. Get involved in the political process, even though I know that my participation does not mater, at all.

Thanks for posting Lizzy. Focused, understated, some simple statements which create a space where folks can ponder some issues.

It's Presidental election time - for 15 months there will be a relentless tsunami of bullshit sweeping across America, I don't know about you, but I'm heading for higher ground represented by not listening one bit to this shit storm.  Nothing will change until the people demand it and we are a long way off from that scenario...

It is treason because it is a deliberate scheme to place all citizens in debt-servitude to the corporation that holds the debt and demands the interest we agreed to pay them.  Further, this corporation is owned by the member financial institutions in proportion to their capital.  So, who else exactly is the benefciary of this massive scheme? Politicians who seek to gain and retain their power as the intermediary between groups demanding bigger social programs and those being forced to pay for them and the social advocacy groups that cheer them on.

These groups are either crony capitalists or socialists.   They are both happy for their own reasons to see the American citizen improsoned through the economic and tax system.

I don't define it as treason considering they are cooperating with this country's "leaders".  We should try congress and the president as traitors as well if we're going to charge the Fed.

It is apparent their loyalties are not to the people or the Constitution of the US. Due to limits of the law they cannot be charged with treason.

The Fedsters could be charged with debasing the currency, a crime also punishable by death.

Perhaps the others could be charged with failure to keep their oath "to uphold and defend the Constitution..."?  What should punishment be beyond removal from office?  Perhaps we could bring back colonial type stocks and have them spend a publicly announced day in them in each county seat in their district/state?   After that, maybe they could work a McJob for a year and be forced to live only on the proceeds?

I'm with you actually. When you go through a history of the Federal Reserve it becomes clear that it is little more than a mechanism for misappropriating wealth - it is a system of debt bondage. There's a fed history here http://www.futurnamics.com/fed.php

Too bad americans are dumber than rocks.

This is soooooooooooooooooooooooo obvious.

Rich Perry waits and sees who "wins" the Iowa caucus.  He finds the top two spots were won by supposed TeaParty candidates.  So he picks one of their favorite issues and tries to one-up them.  BRAZEN lies and pandering by a blatant insider.  Just like Obama saying he will bring home all the troops and close down Guantanamo... then turning around and starting lots of new wars, advocating torture and even government assassination, all bolstered by his lie-won "Nobel Peace Prize".

BTW, shut down the Nobel Peace Prize... it really has gotten much too revolting.

Fuck if Bernanke and every other "business leader" is not RESPONSIBLE for the Treasonous Betrayal they have engendered and spawned to wreck havoc and ruin upon The U.S.A.   Anyone who assumes public corporate leadership owes more than a current-quarter performance or numbers that rock.  There may not be specific case-law or statutes that prohibit endangerment of society; but all these motherfuckers know and knew then the consequences of their Phileas Fogg philosophy (burn the ship for firewood in pursuit of the short-term goal).

All of these sumbitches know the first rule in running a going concern no matter the type is:  don't kill the goose that lays your golden eggs.

What American with National Service in mind could rationalize a Carribean Basin Inititative which paid USA domiciled corps $10,000 cash for every job they relocated to certain Carribean nations?  Ross Perot warned about the great sucking sound that would leave our nation tits up and dead like roadkill.  We are there, and we are there because the sumbitches reasoned they could not be held responsible.  The Fuck They Can't!

Same fuckers were awfully damned concerned about feathering their own nests and those of all kinfolk and kindreds.  None of these pukes went broke on their watch; they just made sure The Nation would.

This goes all the way from attorneys and accountants, to physicians, pharma-co, educators at every level, food vendors, government workers (especially county clerks, appraisers) and all Federal Bureaucrats.

Whistleblowers suffer when they should be exalted.

Why did former GAO top man David M. Walker resign from his position as The Nations Top CPA?  Because he was being asked to certify data that was crap and he would have no part in the fraud...  How many others who knew or contrived the fraud ever quit or resigned?  I can think of none other.

Think Arthur Andersen was/is the only CPA firm cooking the books for their clientele or to keep the lid on an industry?

America has been looted and those who facilitated the killing of The Nation are guilty of Betrayal, Fraud, and by that Treasonous destruction of America.  Those holding sway over public and private businesses have obligations to the community-America at every level and acting in manner contributing to ruin is criminal despite whether perpetrator seeks to shelter themself from discovery or re-writes Common Law into code or statute so as to escape consequences of their actions.

You can bet shit will hit the fan soon to allow these worthless bastards to escape justic and keep the money they took.  For sure they are clever enough to have planned their getaway...

this guy is a joke. Treason? is he serious? how can you proove intent when the benanke has prooven himself an idiot. how can you press treasonous charges on a private company exec?

What is really treasonous is obamacare. what is treasonous is tarp. what is treasonous is ordering a media blackout in the gulf states durung the oil spill, what is treason is allowing a private company to control our money supply in violation of the Supreme Law of the Land. treason is what all 3 branches of gov. do eveyday in violating the contitution.

fuckoff unless you show some action that includes more than words just to generate campain money you dickhead. go find a corndog.

Treason?  Yes, he's serious.  The punishment for treason is death.  Just sayin'.

http://www.runtogold.com/2009/09/audit-the-fed-and-apportionment/

The Bernank is not legally an idiot, therefore the crime can be "prooven".

The government can press charges of treason against 'anybody' who commits the crime.  What makes you think a private company's exec is exempt?  You're not exempt.  The Bernank isn't exempt.  Nobody is exempt.  But I'll bet even the idiot Bernank knows how to spell 'prove' and 'proven' correctly.

"what is treason is allowing a private company to control our money supply in violation of the Supreme Law of the Land."  That is correct.  In your first breath you defend Bernanke, stating that because he's a "private company exec" he can't be charged.  And in your second breath you're calling what he does for a living "treason".  Make up your freakin' mind already.

And Rule #1 is, We DO NOT TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB!
